  1. Lynch and a 2nd round pick to Denver for Cutler. Beat my butt and call me Spanky.
  2. Certainly the Bills have other needs. But as it stands now, just like all of last season, without someone to take the double coverage off of Evans, the Bills have no deep passing game, whatsoever. None. Lee Evans has a base salary of $9m in 2009. Plugging in a good, deep threat WR at 2/3 of his salary doesn't seem that exorbitant to me. Coles may not necessarily be the answer, but the Bills had better get a legitimate WR, not fricking Howie Feltersnatch.
  3. Congrats to Leonhard. He deserves it and it's too bad, but not surprising, the Bills whiffed on him.
  4. Hrady, even by rookie standards, had an "eh' season......and then got hurt. If Evans gets hurt the Bills are screwed? They were screwed just about all of last season by the double coverage on Evans, which left them with Royal (ugh) and Reed for check downs and 3rd and 6's. Without a legitimate deep threat WR to pull the double coverage off of Evans, the exact same thing is going to happen all season long.
  5. I didn't take into account the extension issue, that's true. And if I remember correctly, Ralph said there wasn't enough talent, he didn't say what, if anything, he was planning to do about it.
  6. We would have to wake up our WR's and poke them with sticks if Cutler came here. Man....would that be a good thing! Maybe even a great thing! Maybe even Coles would come here if we landed Cutler.
  7. I think your point has some merit. At least up to this point in time. Ralph already came out and said that the Bills didn't have enough talent. Given that statement, the organization hasn't done a whole lot to to address that issue, but I'll qualify that with, "yet". If, by the start of camp, the organization still hasn't addressed the talent issue in a serious manner, then one would have to question if there was any real meaning to Ralph's statement. Unless somehow, the staff has managed to convince Ralph that the majority of the current players have enough talent already. After all, they did get off to a 5-1 start last season. But I am one of those people who think that regardless of the players, if there is only one rake on the entire field, Jauron will somehow find a way to step right on it.
  8. And what exactly, should President Bush have said to sum up his presidency? Given the current state of affairs, I think he did exactly the right thing.
  9. ....with Dickie the J coaching? Methinks youse guise are focused on the wrong problem. Put a crappy driver in a good car at the Daytona 500 and see what happens.
  10. The great Ryan Fitzpatrick, who joins a long list of NFL greats from Harvard.
  11. 5-11, but only because we might....just might....sweep the Jets.
  12. And no one should be surprised at this. Ralph is a businessman after all, and although it sounds harsh, living on borrowed time. He's not going to break the bank now, it doesn't make sense from a financial perspective. Even if he spend a big chunk now, he's most likely not going to get that chunk back when he sells it. Not to mention that even if he did get a slew of top-dollar Free Agents, it's still Dickie the J conducting the orchestra, whacking himself on the head with the baton.
  13. We now have the great Ryan Fitzpatrick as a backup. Blockbuster.
  14. Ugh. I wish they would trade him, his inflated ego, his crappy work ethic, holdout mentality, and move on. It would be one thing if he was a bona fide pro bowl player, but based on last year's play, he isn't.
  15. I'm going to be in the vast minority here, but I think this could be a good move IF the $$ are right. Grossman has a pretty good arm, experience and pretty much has been relegated to "Backup" status, which can't sit well with him. He's not mobile, so the OL would have to provide decent pass protection and pick up blitzes, which they vastly improved at the last half of the season. Given TE's injury history, we need an experienced QB and getting a former SB quarterback, young enough, used to playing in cold, crappy weather and wanting his starting job back would be a good move IMO. It's gonna come down to $$ and perhaps the ability to compete for the starting position.
  16. Not to mention a nasty case of the dropsies last season. Maybe a change of scenery will be good for him and maybe he will be good for TE. Let's see if the Bills FO ponies up a legitimate offer.
  17. Wooo Hoooo.....Grif's!!!
  18. What would you say that says about Mr. Wilson's assessment of a HC with 7 out of 8 losing seasons? Or his Front Office's ability to sign talented players? If this really IS a talent issue (and I haven't taken a seat on THAT particular bus), then it would seem to me the REAL problem is the people assessing and signing less-than-talented players. I still maintain that a good HC would have had this team in the playoffs last season and would again, this upcoming season.
  19. The Bills have tended to play the FA very cautiously. They may bring in one or two decent-to-good players, but generally if they can be had at a reasonable price. There have been exceptions, however. I would be surprised to see Ralph break the bank at this stage. I still think a good HC would have had this team in the playoffs last season and would again, this season. My expectations are tempered because of Dickie the J, not because of the players per se. I don't know why anyone would expect something radically different after three consecutive 7 & 9's.
  20. They desperately need a WR and all the connections are right. I'll betcha Billy the P will pull the trigger on this one if they can get the $$ right. BTW....I live in Miami Lakes ....where are you?
  21. Absolutely. Crazy Al has always been a "Bombs Away" guy. Don't know if JP has enough character issues for Al, though.
  22. Do you have any idea of the scope of that statement? That's like putting Dickie the J in a room full of rakes and expecting him NOT to step on one. Or two or sixteen.....
  23. The fins desperately need another WR and the obvious reuniting with Pennington makes this a very tempting and solid choice for My Yami. If they can work out the numbers, I think they will do it. Even if he does pronounce his first name completely different from how it's spelled.
  24. ....just like always.....flat on his back.
  25. Not to mention jumping up and down like a Jack-in-the-Box with that green sack she had on. Who dresses her...the Spectre of Death?
