  1. And if the Bills front office has any synapses left, they should draft... TIM TEBOW
  2. Ya know, I thought that was a pretty snarky question at first, but the more I thought about it, the harder it was to decide. And I think Snert is more to blame for the offensive woes than DJ. I will say this: Draft Tebow.
  3. That's a good question. To which I do not have a good answer. One thing is for sure, the coaching staff is a mess and the front office doesn't seem in any hurry to make any changes.
  4. There are too many other things to be worried about. Way too many.
  5. My dad was a Firefighter in Buffalo (Engine 18) for most of his working days. My heart goes out to them and their families. Tragic loss.
  6. No one has called for DJ's head on a post more than me. Ab so lutely no one. For all we know, RW may have told DJ that he AND the staff would be back intact for 2009. What exactly do you expect DJ to do with Snert & Fewell? Do you expect him to override them and start calling offensive & defensive plays? Fire them? Go all Cable on them & start swinging? Snert so far has been unimaginative and predictable. Fewell is either unwilling or unable to adjust. The OL changes faces every year and there hasn't been a pass rush since Bill Clinton was introducing cigars to interns. I still don't think career 7-9 DJ is HC material, but I don't think Snert & Fewell have proven that they are coordinator material, either. If this season ends up any worse than a wildcard shot, all three of them are gone. DJ has very little, if any, chance at a winning season with those two.
  7. I don't know for sure, but I would find it hard to believe that DJ micromanages the offense and defense. It that's the case, then the OC and DC are more to blame than the HC. Sure, the buck stops at the HC's desk, but it may have been RW's call to keep the Coordinators for this year along with DJ for "continuity's" sake. Read the entire post.
  8. Bills backups vs GB backups > Bills starters vs GB starters.
  9. 5-11 sounds about right. I was picking that record after the schedule came out and nothing I've seen has made me feel any different.
  10. Do you really think RW is going to pony up for any of those guys? I don't.
  11. Both Snert and Fewell's game plans are problematic. The offense looks slow and predictable and the defense plays receivers too soft and doesn't seem to adjust. I wonder if RW insisted that Snert and Fewell be retained for "continuity".
  12. The more I watch this team, the more I am starting to believe the majority of the blame might belong to Schonert & Fewell rather than on DJ. I don't have much confidence in DJ, but at this point, considering the continued blandness and predictability of the offense and the way the defense plays off so far on receivers along with the lack of adjustments when they're getting burned, I'm really starting to feel that the culprits are more Schonert and Fewell. Ralph keeps DJ throughout the season, even if they go 5-11, which is a real possibility.
  13. Bills 2nd string vs GB 2nd string looked better than Bills starters vs GB starters, that's for sure. Starting defense got burned, starting offense went phffffft. Even special teams weren't.
  14. I wonder how much input DJ has in running and adjusting the O & D during the game. Shouldn't Fewell & Snert be running things with tweaks here & there by DJ? I'm really beginning to think the basic problems may be the OC & DC and not necessarily DJ. Fewell has NEVER (that I can remember) shown any ability to adjust his defense when it was getting torched. Snert's offense looks....well....bland and predictable.
  15. They should start with Fewell. The starters on D looked putrid last night. They are consistently 3-4 steps (or more) off the receivers after the catch. 3rd and long against the Bills D is almost a gimmee. I'm really starting to wonder if the problem isn't Fewell and Snert instead of DJ. I really am....
  16. I know it's preseason etc. but the starters on offense and defense got their keesters handed to them. I don't know if they were badly coached, badly prepared, ran bad schemes or take your pick. The offensive line was getting shoved around like 3rd graders. What really worries me is Fewell and his defense. The Bills DBs are consistantly 3-4 steps or more, away from the receivers when they catch a pass. TO will make a difference of offense, but the starting D did not look good last night. I'm starting to wonder if the coaching problem isn't Fewell and Snert instead of DJ.
  17. I just saw Trashcan Man walk by.....<shudder>
  18. I'm curious, after 8 seasons (7 losing and a combined 7-9 career record), what makes you think that DJ "may have learned from his mistakes"?
  19. Wow...thanks for the suggestion! Have you tried http://www.somafm.com ?
  20. Perhaps. I still equate "record" and "album" to vinyl, the material. Otherwise, it's a CD, DVD or File. But that's just me and my Ortofon talking....
  21. The record/album, when an artist says, "I have a new record/album out".
  22. I'm curious......the Miami Herald "actual tree-killing" newspaper is getting smaller in size (physical page size), fewer pages (a LOT fewer pages), more ads, less content and going up in price. They even offer a "detailed" TV Guide for an extra $1/month (detail like, "House gets sick"). In short, McClatchy is laying off staff, reducing everything from size to volume to content and is trying to increase the price of the newspaper. Is WNY going through the same thing? Sorry....I know I veered from the topic....
  23. They're both 1-year shots. Favre is going to impact the development of Rosenfels and/or Jackson. It remains to be seen if replacing TO or Favre is the more daunting task after this year. As far as impacting their teams this season, I think TO is going to make TE a better QB. Not sure BF is going to make anyone on the Vikes better.
  24. I'm curious as to what you base that on.
  25. Just watched Scarface again?
