  1. That is a good point. They seem to do the same thing regarding the coaching staff as well. Replace one question mark with another question mark....players and staff.
  2. No wonder he can't manage the time clock.
  3. This offense could actually work with some tweaking to player's strengths and some confidence from that success. Run Reed and TO over the middle for quick checkdowns (since TE is prone to that right now) and let Evens go mid-long. Let the offense eat up 6 yards/play and get the DB's in on TO & Reed to get Evans single coverage. Throw in a TE who can block, pick up the blitz and catch a pass or two during a possession. Run the damn ball inside the 20 and get consistent at these drives. If AVP is smart, he will develop schemes that the offense can run effectively and not ask them to do things they simply aren't good at right now. Some confidence will work wonders.
  4. There are a lot more pressing problems than those two. Neither one was going to be a difference maker.
  5. Bring him in, dump Hamdan and let Garcia and Fitz duke it out.
  6. I would agree that a team needs a good core offensive scheme before they start getting overly complicated.
  7. Save the trade bait and get..... TIM TEBOW
  8. Well, in a way it does make sense to get a good core offensive scheme first, then add to it. It seems that since 5-1 last season, there really wasn't much of a core offense except for Lynch running and throwing to Reed on 3rd & 6. Apart from that, there really wasn't much that was dependable, offensively. We can only hope this move jolts the staff & players out of their complacency.
  9. He's Ko Simpson and he's a Dee Troit Lion. Pffffffft.
  10. It's possible. We have no other choice at this point other than to wait and see.
  11. You maximize your player's strengths and minimize their weaknesses. Not continue to pound perfectly good square pegs into perfectly good round holes.
  12. Chiefs: yes Bucs: maybe Browns: maybe (didn't last year) Jags: nope Texans: nope Colts: nope 5-11 with or without Snert. Don't forget, Dickie the J is still driving the bus and TE still looks like he's afraid of everyone's shadow.
  13. Get TIM TEBOW.
  14. It was way slower than it should have been. Even if it did keep defenses from substituting, that didn't make any appreciable difference.
  15. OTOH, at least someone in this organization located a testicle and actually DID something. Maybe, just maybe, this will jolt the rest of the so-called coaching staff and some of the players out of their propofol induced comas and get their keisters in gear. OTOOH, change has a 50/50 shot of making things worse instead of better. We shall see......
  16. Maybe not money, but it might save Ralph some measure of embarrassment from seeing the offense play like Courtney Love was calling the plays on her first day of rehab after a 9 month propofol binge.
  17. It's not time to drive home from work yet.
  18. I think Snert finally went to Ralph and came clean about the JP call against the Jets, last season. He just couldn't take it no mo. Dr. FF
  19. Fewell. He is, after all, the DC. Same for Snert & the offense. They should at least try to maximize the skills of the players they've got, rather than keep on trying to pound square pegs into round, steaming piles of bovine dung.
  20. That would be: All of the weeks during the season.
  21. Same prediction as when the schedule came out: 5-11 Ralph cleans house 24 hours after the last whistle blows and promotes from within or hires some schlub who "has a great football mind and the players will play hard for because they like him".
  22. The NFL is after all, a business. Ralph has no history of paying top dollar for a top tier HC. At 91, don't expect that trend to change. As long as Ralph is making a profit he can live with, why would he spend more money? Welcome to the asylum.
  23. Same reason 4 socks go into a dryer and 3 come out.
