Yep, I remember going to Hicks when I was in grade school at St. Louis. It was like a Norman Rockwell painting of a 50s ice cream shop. Used to love walking to Bill Wahl’s for ice cream, too. That was where the Pittsford Pub / JoJos is now. That’s been gone even longer.

Abbotts is great, but frozen custard is a different animal. That used to be our go-to before Pittsford Farms dairy was around.

How many other places hand make their own ice cream from milk from their own cows? Not many. It's far superior to anything else I've had. What's your point of comparison? Is there something better I should try? For science? 🙂 Totally worth it. As I mentioned in a previous post, they make it themselves from their own dairy cows, with fresh and delicious ingredients. Plus, the building itself and the other baked goods they sell are top notch. I haven't had anything better.
