NYT article First of all please allow me to say i am truely sorry for linking anyone to the NYT. I deeply regret any long term brain damage it may have caused for other right minded people. For the lefties...well, I hope the damage is permenant. Now on to my point. Is anyone really worried about these knuckheads letting off a nuke test in thier own backyard? What is the problem with that? Look, these yahoo's will more then likely destroy themselves during the test. Most of them have not eaten a decent meal in months or years, and the others would welcome a nuclear meltdown style death when compared to the dire life they are living now under the mental midgets rule. I say, we should welcome NK into the nuclear age. lets encurage them to work hard and speed up the tests. Perhaps launch a few tests to the south east and see how that neighbor likes it. Again, what is soo bad about them conducting these tests? I would rather know what we are dealing with, and have a good laugh at the same time.

Why does this surprise anyone at all? The fact that kerry used other peoples money to pay his fines...why should this surprise you. The fact that he or others that work for him simply ignored the law, and the no parking signs? There is no comparison between a senator (or VP) telling an individual to F-Off and a former senator, VP, and presidential loser who rants and raves in such a way that he seems like a complete loon. All Americans have a voice in our system of government." With that said I say Bravo...excellent observation.

algore freaks out again First it was dean going nuts and stopping just short of calling republicns the anti-christ. Now algore freaks out again claiming the republicans have a "lust for one-party domination", and that they "seek nothing less than absolute power." Of course this is somewhat on the mild side for the wild man from Tenn. It appears that algore simply cannot go more then a few months without a wild freakout session in which he blames the republican party for everything from the Tsunami, to Nadia getting booted from American Idle. It was refreshing to hear Republican National Committee spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt say that "if Democrats wonder why they are the minority party, they should look no further than Al Gore's comments today. Americans have moved on, and want their leaders to focus on an agenda, rather than obstruction." This sums up the status of the democratic party about as well as it can be done. bravo Tracey.

If the funds are going to be used to improve or build new infrastructure then I say what is the big deal. As long as it is used in a productive way. Too much surplus becomes wasteful. Now if it is going to be used for basketball courst and nonesense like that then I would say the polititians up there need to be sent to the corner for a time out.

CBS News rating continue to sink Maybe its time to bring back danny boy. His stories made for good sound bites at the very least. Maybe it could be re-named the CBS "wishful thinking" News with dan rather. There are a number of former NYT reporters and editors who could help him write copy for the news.

Seriously, what is so hard about this. The comparision that you make is a silly one at best. The two incidents are not comparable. What Cheney said was to an individual, it was wrong, but he was not speaking on behalf of his entire party. To further the point he was not setting party agenda with his F-U comment to another man. On the other hand, dean is indeed speaking on behalf of the dem party. After all he is the dem leader, and it is his words that steer the party, or the party that steers his words. He made these stupid statements about not only individuals, but also about whole groups of people. He considers republicans in general to be evil people. Those are his words. He is not just making a statement to another person with whom he may have had a disagreement or two. Just to answer your question (even though it has zero relevance to the topic). I have had people say and do both and neither one had any significant impact on my life. Next meaningless question please.

My point is, they may go away for a while, but we will hear them re-played over, and over agian come election time. They never go away forever....screaming dean can attst to that.

I guess my point cannot be made any clearer then this. Please don't misunderstand, I do not wish any luck or success on the dem party. I am just interested to see if there is any dem who can explain why this tactic by dean will be an effective one with respect to gaining new voters. Simple math works like this. The dems are getting beat like a school boys cube steak and they do not seem to be doing anything to attract new voters. They lost the last two elections by widening margins, and they failed to get a majority vote in the two previous presidential elections that they did win. This does not look like a party that has a real clueabout where they are going.

I think the point that you are missing is this: Cheney said this to someone in a somewhat private setting. Not that it was right, but it was directed at an individual (who probably deserved it). Deans remarks are in open forums, and at public appearances: the way he is acting and the things he is saying are outrageous and simply stupid. Again I contnue to ask the question: is there anyone out there who really thinks this is a good way for the party headed in reverse to attract new voters? I keep hearing that this fires up the base...well in case the folks on the left did not notice...your base is not enough!! To finally win an election you have to attract NEW voters. Is this guy and his tactics the way to do that? After all the MTV crowd did not turn out the way you expected them to, and that is clearly who this frat house crap is geared towards.

They lost the last two elections and they have been slapped around pretty hard in the congressional elections as well. I agree AD. I guess the reason for my post is that I would like to hear someone..anyone..on the left explain why this is a good tactic for the democrates. I really just don't see it. My take on this is that the guy who did the crime to this young lady is pure evil. Like many others have mentioned in this thread and others there is no real way for sane people to understand or explain such an act. My real problem is with the other scum who lived in the trailer with this bastard. Accourding to reports Jessica was in the trailer for 2 or 3 days. Are you telling me that no one else in that trailer knew she was in there? It was their home, the loser was a guest there....how could they not know she was in there? All 3 people in that trailer should recieve life sentences in the least and death sentances if it is determined that they did in fact know. They to are a different type of evil...the type that allows the other type to exist.....they are all worthy of a slow PAINFUL death...not lethal injection.

Very well said. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Man I will tell you something, I spend most of my time over on the PPP board but I came over here just to see what fellow fans thought about the draft. All I have to say is...what a negitive bunch. Its amazing that TD has hung around this negitive environment as long as he has. I for one hope that he continues to look past the nin-kon-poops and sticks it out untill we win that title.
