As I said before. The House has the sole, unfettered authority to determine impeachment procedures. If the House decides the proper procedure is closed committee hearings without a full House authorization to proceed, that's entirely Constitutional. Just like it's the Senate's sole, unfettered authority to determine how "advice and consent" works, and if they decide the Senate chair can park it and not forward it to committee or a floor vote, that's entirely Constitutional... ...wait a minute. The Democrats couldn't possibly be exercising a double-standard, could they?
