  1. I want a site where we sit in a circle and share our innermost feelings about what we want the site to be. With chanting. Jesus...
  2. I want a reporter to have the balls to ask the Democratic candidates that question. "Given the GOP's and Trump's history of racism and oppression of women, minorities, and immigrants, do you support outlawing the Republican Party as a hate group?" The answers would be absolutely epic.
  3. Aren't these same people screaming about Bevin refusing to concede the ones who openly support Stacy Abrams' continuing refusal to concede her race?
  4. The most idiotic "BUT THERE'S CONSENSUS" we've seen.
  5. I don't give a ***** what he called you. I'm calling you pathetic.
  6. Hell with the teacher. Who's that reporter, and where can I get one?
  7. FYI, I only liked your post because I feel sorry for you. It must be tough being so pathetic.
  8. The "I don't have to earn a paycheck, I'm just entitled to one" mentality. I have no doubt most of the Deadspin staff is now complaining they're oppressed and blacklisted by employers because no one's "given" them a job yet.
  9. I'm the kind that sits in front of his computer, 24/7, motionless. and thus collects dust.
  10. No, if they disagree with corporate policy, they should shut up or leave. No one has a problem with that. That's what adults do. I'm leaving my job because of some execrably immoral (and illegal - managers holding people's paychecks in abeyance as punishment) practices. It's their histrionic nonsense that makes them crybabies. I'm leaving my job, but I'm throwing a public tantrum about it.
  11. Delightfully Curmudgeonly Tom, you idiot.
  12. "...BEFORE DEBLAHDIBLAH!"
  13. You know how you know someone's a partisan shill? When they reflexively believe advance reports of book excerpts written by anonymous sources that confirm their own biases, that they would reflexively dismiss if the same were written about "their guy."
  14. We know the Pats have Brady...who's their other queen?
  15. Not just sovereign immunity, but the "Biden Rule" - the new legal principle of "anyone running for office has blanket immunity from criminal or civil investigation."
  16. As bad as it looks for the Redskins, I'm not sure they had much of a choice in the matter. Not sure what the CBA says about the Reserve/NFI list specifically, but teams are constrained by it, and the salary cap, and the needs of fielding a football team (even if only a vague approximation of a competitive team). Unless they wanted to tie up an active roster spot with a player who wasn't playing this season, they probably had very limited options.
  17. It's in the dairy section at the supermaket, so I'm calling it a cereal.
  18. The difference is that it's not illegal to pay your way in to a school. It is, however illegal to purchase a fraudulent scholastic record and bribe school officials to accept it.
  19. Other than what's under the Gizmodo Media Group? I don't know what else they own, but they did kill Splinter. Which is part of the reason Deadspin got more political the past few months, and why Jezebel is getting even more political now than it already was (with readers flocking from Deadspin.) The way this is evolving, they're going to end up killing the entire GMG product...which isn't necessarily a bad thing, given how it's populated with staff that believe "We're outraged snowflakes!" is a business model.
  20. I'm equally amazed at how little the new owners understood it. Like I said, circular firing squad.
  21. There's been nothing new posted for three days. Tough to say it's not "dead". Tough to say it's not "better," too.
  22. "Deflects to Clinton?" It's called a joke, moron. You're a lot more tolerable when your sense of humor is plugged in.
