  1. Bull. If it were planned that far in advance, they would have been removed before the accusation was made. Plus...you don't have to remove the online data. You only have to remove the references from the search engine index. If you can't google it, it doesn't exist.
  2. It was in Texas? Pin a medal on all of 'em, even the deader, for protecting our Second Amendment rights.
  3. All white folk? Then they're all guilty. Hang 'em.
  4. Wait 'til someone finds out MSgt. McDaniel once referred to an African-American man as "colored." We're going to have to send MSgt. McDaniel's remains back to Korea, and award PFC Jones a Congressional Medal of Honor for "his resolute bravery in the face of such violence" serving "as an example of the finest traditions of the US Army."
  5. I'm not watching the video. So just tell me: which party is black, and which is white?
  6. Absolutely. Made me do a double-take to check the URL.
  7. And the owner attended a small business round table, as he has in the past. But this time was punished for it. That's not reasonable. That's not punishing somebody for their beliefs, or their associations, or their business practices. That's punishing someone for proximity.
  8. Twitter is usually more open than that...but they have an odd policy/algorithm that considers pictures like that "incitement to violence" that violate their TOS. Not that Twitter's angelically innocent...but never attribute to malice what's adequately explained by stupidity.
  9. She has THREE lawyers for testifying in front of a Senate Committee? Yeah, that's completely normal.
  10. I was offended. He couldn't mention drinking? Not as offended as I am at this though. Jesus, Micah...who the hell wears those brown shoes with that tux?
  11. This is such an obvious tactic to string people along, it reminds me of when I was single and dating...and I'd have walked away from a woman doing this to me much sooner than the Senate is. I've had to counsel a lot of victims of sexual assault. The one thing they all have in common is the feeling of powerlessness that comes from experiencing the loss of control over themselves and their lives. I have never seen or even heard of an assault victim, directly or via proxy, even thinking they could exercise this much control over an investigative process, much less doing it.
  12. They're a business. They want to do business. In China. That's not hypocritical. That's business. Supporting a "free and open internet" while selectively suppressing search results to promote an agenda...that's hypocrisy.
  13. What the hell is this? I need more than a single tweet saying this to believe it.
  14. Google ditched that motto, though.
  15. You know that it's still your email, and this can be used as evidence against you in...say...a future Senate Confirmation hearing? Or really, anything if gets out. Seriously, in this day and age, that's practically an admission of guilt. Other than that, it's awesome.
  16. So? China is sovereign, and has their own laws and regulations, and companies that want to do business in China have to abide by them. Never understood the constant whining about companies in China having to follow Chinese law that isn't American law.
  17. Glaciers carved out the Great Lakes and Norwegian fjords. But I'm sure a pile of !@#$ing sand will keep them in place...
  18. "Want to hear the most annoying noise in the world? It'll be testifying Thursday."
  19. He can't be. He has to be impeached, convicted, and removed from office before a criminal charge can be brought against him.
  20. That is an overly sappy and insipid video (although by WJLA standards, it's downright restrained.) And I hope those jarheads get recognized somehow.
  21. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/william-bradley/from-russia-with-love-the_b_627368.html Particularly, "Skolkovo." If you want to know where the Russian capacity for "hacking elections" came from.
  22. "Why should I have to read what you already explained, when you can just explain it to me?" What the !@#$ is a "GMail server?" It's a cloud service.
  23. Also never heard the offer to send people out to take her statement for the record, either. You know what? Hold the hearing Monday, state the facts as they are known in to the record, invite Feinstein to speak to those facts on the accuser's behalf, allow Kavanaugh to speak. The record will show the accusation, have both sides of the story represented, and go a long way towards silencing any rational future criticism of the process.
