  1. Point of note: that's still all any of this is. Delay. Democrats lost the filibuster, thanks to themselves, so they're pulling out all the stops to keep this from the floor. What's really amusing is you now have people complaining about the electoral college also complaining about the "tyranny of the majority" who also applauded when Obama told Republicans "elections have consequences." There's no rhyme or reason to these people's attitudes except "I want things my way, now!!!"
  2. It won't. You really think a week-long delay settles anything down? This encourages the Jacobins to double-down on their bull **** tactics, confirms the legal principle of "guilty until proven innocent," encourages rule by mob hysteria...the next time they don't get their way, someone's going to get shot. If I'm Trump, I tell the Senate "!@#$ you, the FBI's done their investigation. File a criminal complaint with Maryland, or shut the !@#$ up and vote." If I'm Kavanaugh, I release a statement saying "This process has been perverted all principles of American government and jurisprudence, and I can no longer in good faith take part in it" and walk away without saying another goddamn word. This is !@#$ing ridiculous. We're making the !@#$ing Italians under Berlusconi look sane and coherent.
  3. Unless they're having the FBI investigate Feinstein and Harris for violating victims' rights in this whole circus, it's bull ****.
  4. Or he's posting random bull **** that makes no sense and no one understands. Given past history, which do you think is more likely?
  5. If the pilot ejected, they're probably dead. The F-35 has a nice "feature" where the "smart" helmet is so heavy and unbalanced that ejecting comes with a high risk of having your neck snapped. At one point, the Air Force advised some smaller pilots that it was safer to ride the plane in. The JSF is such a !@#$ing turkey.
  6. The simple fact this post is so completely devoid of content that it doesn't put your stupidity on display makes it your most intelligent post ever.
  7. I'm pretty sure all the Senate Dems will walk out of the final vote if they know all the Republicans are voting to confirm. A couple of fence-sitting Republicans should let leak they're deciding to vote against, just to get the Democrats to stay for the vote. Then vote for, with the Democrats present, so the Democrats have participated and can't argue there wasn't a quorum and Democrats weren't represented at the vote.
  8. Sometimes there's valid reasons. But walking out of a vote in a fit of pique because you can't get your way because your a great big !@#$tard who turned a confirmation into a political hatchet job should be grounds.
  9. Gee, thanks Booker. Considering you're one of the asshats who caused it to begin with. Think about this: the Democrats who are walking out are effectively protesting the principle of "innocent until proven guilty."
  10. Reminder: they just attempted to try a criminal case in a goddamn Senate committee hearing. The !@#$? That's exactly what the Democrats tried to do. And his name is racist.
  11. I vote asshat. It better fits his inconsistency.
  12. Thanks, Obama!
  13. "Ski" was code for "gang rape" among high schoolers in the early '80s. Must be, because...Kavanaugh.
  14. It IS already sealed. The time for prevention is well past (has been for about 20 years), and we should be planning remediation. Anyone who understands the science knows that.
  15. The ABA knows better. Probably a Chinese spy. We'll never get that far. This system is going to collapse before we do.
  16. Holy ****. I actually tweeted something substantially similar to the above, and changed someone's mind. This really is the !@#$ing apocalypse.
  17. This wasn't a "victory" for anybody. Everyone came away pissed-off and oppressed.
  18. CA has already decreed the possession of souls as discriminatory against the soulless (a/k/a "Gweneth's Law"). So theirs are probably already gone.
  19. Interesting...did Ford finally decide it was 1982 and not 1983?
  20. I'm not sure...one effect of this shitshow is that the right is really pissed of at Democrats' manipulation, and while anger doesn't last forever, it can last the six weeks until elections. This'll be another turnout-driven election, and I would be surprised if we didn't see shockingly high turnout for mid-term elections for both parties.
  21. The Joint Strike Fighter flew its first combat mission today. For those keeping count, that's 22 years from specification (1996) to combat use. The plane had ground crew who weren't even alive when the program started. Nice job, Pentagon procurement.
  22. Dammit. I wanted to show the math. It may not be charged a felony. But it can certainly be investigated as one. And I strongly suspect a blue state would do everything possible to make this charge a felony against a Republican court nominee. That is a beautiful "!@#$ off" letter.
