For a witness to be dictating to a Senare committee like this, she has got to have committee members directing her. Which itsel would be a gross conflict of interest, as they'd be directly interfering with the investigation, not just holding a hearing.

Is there every polling evidence of that yet? I thought it was interesting in that it provided an opportunity for the Senate Republicans to step up and say "Hey, shitbird, take this **** seriously! Don't mock women who come forward!" Basically, allow them to establish that just because they're searching for the truth does not mean they aren't sympathetic to assault victims. Struck me as a risky attempt to take the heat for them. He should have gone with the much more well-known "bimbo eruptions."
