But had six first class stamps.

Simply put, you're allowing the narrative to explain the facts.

"Let me write an editorial about not embracing hate, and Trump is a Nazi!"

Oh, ***** her. You call for civility NOW???

Not terribly. Simple way to disperse a biological agent...albeit not very effective, as it can kill up to 90% of the agent. The sort of thing someone with "Discovery Channel" knowledge would try.

A suspicious package was reported to have been sent to Michael Avenatti's offices. NYPD and the FBI are requesting he open it and tell them what's inside.
-
A CNN staffer opened the envelope, and took a picture of it, before handing it over to police. CNN actually has a better quality picture up, showing the surrounding desk as well.

Bill de Blasio has condemned this as an "act of terror." No word yet on whether he's blamed an unwatched YouTube video.

I categorically deny being involved.

Like I said earlier: the logistics are interesting, and a prime initial focus of the investigation. But they're QUESTIONS, not answers. And you're missing some other very obvious indicators. Like: delivered not just on the same day, but at roughly the same local time. And why doesn't the picture of the manila envelope shown previously in this thread appear to have the stamps cancelled?

Presumption that because they didn't work, they weren't intended to work. There's no basis for establishing intent from failure.
-
Not enough data; I could invent multiple patterns to fit this.

Looks like the point where everyone just starts getting paranoid about random garbage now...

I shouldn't be laughing...but I can't help having a grudging respect for the DWS troll. It just keeps getting better.

Senate Democrats are calling for an investigation into whether or not Kavanaugh was bombed last night...
-
Just talked to security in my building, and they all agree: putting DWS's address as the return address is hilarious.

But usually - and I think this is peace's point - politicians release independent condemnations. I've never seen a statement of condemnation that was just a retweet and "Yeah, what he said!" tweet. I don't think it's nefarious, just Trump being his typical self, and not understanding the conventions in such a case. He probably had Kelly and half a dozen other staff at his elbow trying to take his phone away, and screaming "Don't say anything yourself, dammit! You'll ***** it up! Just retweet Pence!" I'm just going with "epic troll."
-
And radical Democrats are quick to complain the Republicans aren't condemning the violence. Seriously...check Twitter.

Which tangentially relates to "cui bono?" But really...possibly no one. "Who benefits?" is a question based on the a priori assumption of a conspiracy. When it could be something as prosaic as a crazy person hearing Clinton's "civility" nonsense and thinking "This means war!" And the answer to "why now?" in that case is simply that to package and deliver multiple bombs takes a minimum of about two weeks. That last is what really scares me, as it could be a trigger for an equal response that we'd see around Nov. 12. I should not find that as funny as I do. That's practically Trump-level trolling.

If you're standing on the outside looking at the perpetrator. Instead, put yourself in the perpetrator's shoes...what do these targets mean to him, and his motivation? What you think is irrelevant as to understanding; what he thinks is paramount.
-
It's still interesting - the discrepancy in delivery, however it was delivered, speaks to the logistics of the whole thing. Even if it's a completely separate and unrelated incident. None of us have enough information to make even a realistic guess at what it means...but it'll be an immediate, strong investigative focus.

They're a big deal as symbols. Particularly within the "collusion" narrative. And the problem with that observation is that anyone stupid enough to send bombs in "defense" of the collusion narrative is probably too stupid to do it without blowing themselves up.
