  1. It's as though they're trying to stage a coup in Florida, as a tryout for the rest of the country.
  2. "The collection was said to occur as part of the CIA’s “routine counterintelligence monitoring of government computer systems.”" Wait...what? Since when does the CIA, and not the FBI, have domestic CI authority? That's some serious ***** right there. I'm normally conservative about declassifying information...but that's so egregious it's in "Make everything public and let the chips fall where they may" territory.
  3. Of course. Where else are we going to get cheap labor we can exploit? "We *need* Morlocks." - Eloi
  4. 1) "Succession," not "seccession." 2) There IS no "line of succession" for Presidential appointments. What happens is that the President appoints an acting director, according to the VRA. 3) Senate Confirmations ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Being confirmed as Deputy AG does not confirm one as the AG.
  5. How young? Younger than, say, 35? 30? 25?
  6. It's been demonstrated to you repeatedly that he can. And the VRA satisfies the portion of the Constitution that says Congress can delegate such appointment powers to the President as they see fit. But nowhere, in anything - the Constitution, case law, statute, precedent - does anyone ever make a mention of "principal" vs. "minor" officers. Read the law, read the Constitution, and read all the precedents. You have already been given ALL of this information in this thread.
  7. Awesome...it has kaiju...
  8. I recalled seeing it yesterday. I also spent time digging into CNN for you, and your post was their first identifiable story. Just admit you're wrong. C'mon, you can do it. Hell, you should be used to it by now; it shouldn't be that big a deal. It was pointed out by someone that they were busily scrubbing from social media all the evidence of Avenatti's associations with CNN personalities. That's probably why it took them so long.
  9. Holy Christ. It's outlined in the Vacancies Reform Act of 1998. Which, if you'd read it, absolutely allows for Whittaker's appointment in an acting capacity. And you've been given multiple examples where it's been done before. What's not codified anywhere is this idea of "principal" vs. "minor" officials, which you used last week to push a "But that's different!" argument. Entirely my point. NPCs don't dress things up. That's what makes them NPCs.
  10. Let's be fair: Philly's whining above was at least original, and not NPC-like. It's bubble-headed, devoid of any thought, rationality, or common sense, and not nearly as funny as he thought it was. But it's clearly not the product of an NPC.
  11. No. Because I'm not an idiot. And she doesn't yet have to move to DC. This isn't even about finding a new place. It's "What the hell happened to your place in NYC?"
  12. How are the JFACC and, JFMCC, and JACCE related?
  13. Check the time-stamp. You really just argued that B-Man was wrong because he didn't copy-and-paste quickly enough.
  14. Having read your wildly ignorant opinions on warfare, I'd take hers long before I'd take yours.
  15. Yeah, you all think I'm kidding, but...
  16. I'm not going to go through all the steps down the rabbit hole from this, but eventually you get to the OAS report on the Honduran elections, where the OAS Secretay General calls for new elections because of Hmmmm...sound familiar?
  17. Before or after he steals the arc reactor from Tony Stark? They even wear the same tie.
  18. CNN's still working on the anti-Trump angle to their story. Let me tell you how this is going to go: Somebody at CNN, probably Don Lemon (but not Acosta - they'll make sure they keep him out of the public eye, to avoid damaging their "he's not allowed to be a reporter any more" narrative) is going to say something stupid along the lines of "Trump's a known serial abuser, why is he President, but Avenatti is charged with a crime?" And someone else - probably Rubin at the Post - will pen an op-ed about the hypocrisy of the Republicans in denying en masse the truth of the criminal accusations against Kavanaugh, while wallowing in schaedenfreude of the same charges against Avenatti. (Of course, they're not "the same charges," and there's an actual criminal complaint and evidence against Avenatti.) One or both of those will lead to Trump tweeting something inexorably stupid. Whatever it is, it won't make much sense, because Trump Gotta Trump, but it will be widely mal-reported by CNN, and shift the POG's (Party of Gatorman) focus to "Orange Man Bad," and lead to all sorts of ridiculous histrionics which will probably include: Trump's rhetoric caused Avenatti to do this (because he's normalized assaulting women), If Avenatti's charged then Kavanaugh must be impeached (because to not do so violates the equal protection clause), Trump is interfering in Avenatti's criminal investigation by tweeting about it and should be impeached, Trump tweeting about Avenatti is an assault on all women, and "Let's not forget that Stormy Daniels is the real victim, because Trump called her 'horseface!'" And then gatorman will say "Hold my sippy cup and watch this..." Because while I can predict normal Democratic and progressive stupidity, gatorman's on a completely different plane.
  19. Fake news. She punched herself to frame Avenatti. [/Avenatti]
  20. Denial is a symptom.
  21. I think he might be even worse than that. I think she's lying. Because the world needs that irony.
  22. "But he's innocent, because...Kavanaugh!" - average progressive, not understanding they're not even remotely the same situation.
  23. And Acosta will just yell out his questions, heckle the President, and be even more disruptive than he was before, but now with a court order enabling him. And Acosta would just yell out his questions, heckle the President, and be disruptive. Acosta, in fact, inhibits freedom of the press, because he interferes with the rest of the press corps' ability to do their jobs. On that principle alone, he should be banned from the White House.
