  1. And if the prostitutes they were involved with were trafficked, then they would have supported human trafficking. But mens rea is still a thing: if you're not aware that the prostitute is a victim of trafficking, you are likely (not certainly) not guilty of human trafficking yourself. There was a massage parlor around her that was shut down some months ago, a legitimate human sex trafficking operation: women brought in from east Asia, had their passports taken from them, were housed in the parlor, not free to leave, and employed as sex workers. Men who went there for just a massage (i.e. did not request and receive a "strong finish") certainly supported trafficking - but unknowingly. They certainly weren't guilty of trafficking. (The moral of that story, too, is: be careful where you get massages. There's about a dozen places within three miles of me; exactly two of them I'm certain aren't fronts for prostitution, and one I'm almost certain is involved in prostitution, if not trafficking).
  2. Funny how that didn't matter for coal miners. #LearnToCode
  3. Yeah, but...I mean, my sympathies, requiescat in pace and all, but I've never seen him where he didn't look like he hadn't just drunk Eddie van Halen under the table. And I figured he would have died of acute embarrassment after making that God-awful video for Take Me Home Tonight...but maybe that was just his career.
  4. Is Chris Berman that broke, or that bored?
  5. I'm a little less insulated from it than most. It's...not uncommon. Disgustingly not uncommon. Slavery isn't dead.
  6. What the hell's a Dollhin?
  7. There's a rumor that it may have been Doug Flutie, but it should have been Rob Johnson.
  8. You know, with the thinning, darker hair and the goatee, compared to his lighter hair and shaven face when he was in Buffalo...he's going through something of a Walter White/Heisenberg transformation.
  9. We also know it wasn't Marshawn Lynch. He wouldn't pay to meet a prostitute, he'd just show up with his own. And it wasn't Vontae Davis. He'd have ghosted her halfway through.
  10. We know it isn't Travis Henry. He wasn't smart enough to be discreet enough to hire a prostitute.
  11. How stupid is it that they completely forgot the whole "Trump is doing Putin's bidding threatening Ukraine?" This would have been the perfect time to stoke the Russia fires. You know what the biggest part of selling a credible conspiracy theory is? A coherent narrative. Democrats don't have one. They just have random spasms of outrage. They think they're writing Goodfellas, when they're actually writing Aquaman.
  12. A lot of people don't. They have to work for a living rather than do what they'd love to be doing. They just fail to understand that the reason they're not the lead guitarist of a multi-platinum rock band isn't because they're too busy working to tour, but because they suck at playing guitar.
  13. It amazes me that Brooke Shields is as well-adjusted an adult as she is, as her childhood is as ***** up as anyone's I've ever heard of.
  14. I genuinely feel bad for Greta Thunberg, who has no idea what she's talking about and is just being used as a figurehead by others.
  15. If a 2% failure rate is a ton of unwanted pregnancies, then none at all is fifty tons of unwanted pregnancies, the difference being 49 tons. I honestly hadn't expected my demonstrating your stupidity by the extension of your metaphor to be as effective as it was.
  16. Which is 49 tons less than not used at all. People are idiots, you're living proof.
  17. Eddie Money always looked like someone who was sober for maybe six minutes of his entire life. I'm honestly surprised to find out he was still alive.
  18. That's more of a Whoopi Goldberg look, though.
  19. ...nothing of any consequence. Jesus, what a waste of a life - professor of social justice and gender studies. "So what do you do for a living?" "I professionally take offense at everything."
  20. It's one of the great short stories that defined the Golden Age of Science Fiction.
  21. I might just buy stock in some gunmakers and vote Democrat.
