You do realize that, ultimately, no matter how the Mullahs go down, we are going to be involved in a military campaign that includes attacking sites along the Iranian coast to keep the Straits of Hormuz open and tanker traffic unmolested? That's a virtual certainty. They won't lose power without threatening world oil supplies. We will step up to defend Europe's, China's, and Japan's supplies, as we're still the only nation that can project power globally.

It's not just "the media." People are complaining about a tweet. They want to be upset about hypothetical future events as will happen under a non-existent order establishing non-existent ROE in an imaginary future conflict. That's a psychosis. Even being this upset about the threat embodied in the tweet is overwrought, since there is a long distance, with a couple dozen hoops to jump through, between that tweet and actually bombing the Isfahan Mosque.

We are...in that college officials were bribed to accept fake scholastic records. People like Felicity Huffman didn't just "bribe" schools to accept their kids - that's not illegal, it's called "paying tuition." Technically, I'm guilty of it - got into grad school on the agreement I'd pay tuition out-of-pocket and not take aid. But what they did was "hire" an outside "consultant" to create fake high school records, then bribe school officials to accept the fake high school records and grant scholarships to their kids. That is definitely fraud and bribery, and is illegal. And probably more expensive than if they'd just asked "Can my kid go to your school if we make a donation and pay her tuition?"

The crime was that they paid someone to create a fraudulent scholastic record. It's not the exchange of money itself, it's the "service" of creating a fake high school transcript and record, and then using that to fraudulently get athletic scholarships.

But who doesn't look down at the micks, *****, and bead squeezers?

Most of their world heritage sites are cities destroyed by Genghis Khan. Worst we'd do is bounce the rubble. (Yes, sarcasm. But it's surprising, how many of those sites are "There used to be something here, before the Mongols.")
