NASA Satellite captures a black hole destroying a star
DC Tom replied to BuffaloBill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I know, right? All these people pretending the moon landing happened, when there really isn't any moon. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!!! Here's what it actually looks like to astronomers: -
Gameday Thread Bills vs Pats* 2nd Half
DC Tom replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay might be a good second or third. The real problem is that the WR corps lacks a big, strong receiver that can go up and make that catch. They need an un-deranged Antonio Brown. -
Gameday Thread Bills vs Pats* 2nd Half
DC Tom replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To have five turnovers and only be down by six is pretty damned remarkable. In terms of play, this is about what I expected: Patriots play tight, let the Bills make the mistakes, and win. I'd expected the result to be a lot more lopsided than it is right now, though. The Bills shouldn't even be in this game. -

New England is starting to get caught playing dirty. They always play like this. -

Do that to Brady and it's a foul, ejection, fine, and public execution. -

That was a dirty ***** hit. That should be an ejection. -
Yes, I know...no new threads during games, but I think this deserves its own. Congratulations to Frank Gore, now the fourth RB to rush for 15000 yards.

Gameday Thread Bills vs. Pats* 1st Half Thread 9/29

Bills fans might be the most knowledgeable fans of football rules in the league, just from having to know what bull#### Brady and the Patriots are getting away with. -

Gameday Thread Bills vs. Pats* 1st Half Thread 9/29
DC Tom replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So...so far, between both teams, there's been one successful running play, and six pass plays resulting in five incompletions and a sack/first down by penalty. Let's all keep passing, that sounds like a plan. -

What have the Democrats done in the past Four years
DC Tom replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
House procedure is the sole provision of the House alone. And now that minority parties hold absolutely no power in chambers, the Speaker is free to amend procedure however they want. Pelosi's perfectly within her rights to "bypass the official vote," because there is no official vote if she amends House procedure to say so. -
Nazis have several hundred camps in the first 18 months, reduced to four by 1935 or so, back up to a few hundred by 1939-1940. And Jews didn't get sent to concentration camps until after Kristalnacht. First political prisoners - Communists and Social Democrats, for the most part. Then "asocial elements": gays, Jehovah's Witnesses, the "work shy," repeat petty criminals, etc. Jews that were detained in camps before Kristalnacht fell in to one of those two categories. And the 40,000 or so Jews detained in the immediate aftermath of Kristalnacht were, for the most part, released within a year. The "Slow Build" myth is...not false, but misleading. There was a "slow build" because while the Nazis had an end goal of "freeing central Europe of Jewry," they didn't have a coherent plan, just random lurching from expedient to expedient.

Bi-Partisan Support For Impeachment
DC Tom replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Because Democrats consider Congress to be nothing more than an advocacy group. Which they can just as easily do with a minority. -
Bi-Partisan Support For Impeachment
DC Tom replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hell, I'm old enough to remember when Hillary used government resources to collect information on political opponents as First Lady. Pretty sure if people were actually upset about the action itself, every president since...Carter, maybe?...would have faced impeachment. -
The Deep State War Heats Up

"Sent." Past tense. Sure. Who honestly believes that certain senior members of the State Department stopped communicating official State business with Clinton via..."alternate means," let's call it...when Trump won? -
Advice needed: Dog got sprayed by a skunk.
DC Tom replied to gomper's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Mix half a bottle of 100-proof vodka with a quart of water. Rub it in to your dog's coat. Wait five minutes. Rinse well with soap and water. If it doesn't work, drink the other half. -
NASA Satellite captures a black hole destroying a star
DC Tom replied to BuffaloBill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Knowing the approximate frequency of supernovae and black hole creation, astronomers can estimate the number of black holes in a galaxy. Then, knowing stellar densities and relative motions within galaxies, they can calculate the frequency of star-black hole interactions at the bulk limit. It also helps that, in astronomy, "accuracy" is defined as "within a factor of 10 either way." Which I always thought made the lab work easier... -
Bi-Partisan Support For Impeachment
DC Tom replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You wouldn't think so, but it really does get boring hearing that constantly. Even annoying...imagine having people tell you "the sky is blue" or "grass is green" all day, every day. -

I'll bet he fantasizes about being sent to a prison camp, just to justify his own sense of importance.
