I had Barkley last year too Tonight I drafted 8th so I had no chance. He ended up going 3rd (#1 was Kamara to a Saints fan, #2 was a Chiefs fan who took Mahommes because he basically won the season for her last year) At 8th I took Johnson, but I do worry about how he will do with the Cards oline. In our Draft, someone used their last pick to take Luck just for fun, Elliott went 6th overall I believe even though he may not play

I took him as my backup also, was debating him or Rivers My starter is Russell Wilson

I used to watch her every weekend with Ian on Xtreme 4x4 which she eventually left and let him take on the show himself until a couple years ago. (Used to watch 'The Power Block' every weekend, mostly for Stacey David and Trucks, back before Danica Patrick was the host for the hour of the 2 shows) Besides the one year of Myth Busters while Keri was on Maternity leave, she was also occasionally on Overhaulin' and part of another Car show with 2 over woman called 'All Girls Garage' I was shocked to hear this morning what happened, it was all over facebook with posts from a few of the auto/offroad magazines, Mythbusters cast & show, and Richard from Gas monkey Garage (Fast & Loud Show) She was very well known in the car/truck/motorsport world as a great fabricator and participant. Many people have been saying that atleast she went out doing something she loved, trying to break a landspeed record in a rocket car (she already held the record for fastest woman at just under 400 mph).

Beatles Hypothetical

A few weeks ago while on vacation I watched part of a repeat of one of The Monkees TV show and man, it was BAD........ I guess as a young kid it could have been funny and entertaining, but watching it now as an adult, it was just BAD The episode was about Daveys grandfathers friend who needed help with his race car for a big race, which ended up being against a rival German team which was pretty much Col Klink from Hogans Heros............. Cant see that episode every getting made today -
Star Wars - The Rise Of Skywalker
apuszczalowski replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Well they claim that this is it for the 'Skywalker Trilogy' series and everything else will be new stuff from other parts of the galaxy..... -
I think thats why the PGA forces them to walk the course instead of using Carts They want to force them to do something to make it seem a little bit more like it could be a sport.........
-
Neither are 'sports' Although auto racing does take a lot of conditioning on your body, most racers can lose up to 10 lbs in a race. Hitting a small ball with a club then driving to it in a cart doesn't appear to be any more physical then controlling a vehicle going at extremely high speeds around turns. I wouldn't consider John Daly or Dale Earnhardt Jr. as 'Athletes'..........
-
It is really hard to define exactly what is truly a sport as something may or may not fit in that definition but could be considered from either side (similar to the debates over what is a fruit or vegetable) In my opinion, a sport should involve these things - physical activity (video games are not sports) - special skills (hitting, catching, throwing, etc.) - require more then one person to do (golf, fishing, darts, can be done by yourself and points are awarded based on other peoples actions) - is a competition against others (biking & running can be done alone, but races involve others) - doesn't involve machines or something other then the human to compete ( Nascar uses people to control a car, equestrian events have people controling horses, etc.) There's probably more too, but that's just some examples The other issue is that sports are usually games or hobbies, but not all games or hobbies are sports. I don't necessarily believe that all sports require people to be in peak physical shape to be good at it because they can require different skills. Baseball for example doesn't require all players to be work out machines, guys like Vladdy Jr. or Prince Fielder don't look like they can beat anyone on the base path, but they could hit a 100 mph fastball into upper decks of stadiums, David Wells and CC Sabathia could throw a ball hard and get guys to miss even though they didn't look like the every missed a post game meal. Football is another example where you have guys who are at both ends of the list with huge linemen appear that they spend more time at buffets then the gym and WRs who look like they spend all their free time working out.

Tyree Jackson is an ideal practice squad candidate
apuszczalowski replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait, I thought the problem was that it was unfair that some WRs trying to make this team had to have Tyree throwing it to them, now there's a problem that Tyree has bad WRs not catching the balls thrown to them? There's only so much that can be done, and not all players are going to make it in the league no matter how much training and practice they get. Teams can't give guys 5 years to sit and hang around and try to develop. -

Isn't he going to be their 3rd stringer again behind Rivers and 'Bills fan favorite' Taylor? How many years has it been since he came in to the league? -
Finally, someone said it. Golf is not a sport, John Daly is not an athlete

If it wasn't for the connection of him going to UB, no one would be thinking about him as being someone to waste a PS position on. -
Well in a few hours the "24-48 hour" prediction will be up....... As for the fake tweet, the only reason I knew it was fake was because of the inclusion of Singletarry. I could see Dawkins and a conditional pick (probably also see a conditional pick coming back to Buffalo) and a RB like Yeldon as being a deal for Clowney

They may not have known about CTE, but they knew they were possibly looking at long term health issues seeing what previous players had been through. I think people have known for a while that taking many blows to the head could result in problems. Now they just know more about it. As for the other careers, sure miners and factory workers know that they can end up with health issues later on, the difference is most have little other choice for a career. There isn't much out there if you don't have the education and need to support yourself and family. Playing a game for money is more of a luxury for those born with the skills and talent to do it. They don't have to and no one's making them do it. They can leave and get other careers to make ends meet. It is a shame that a billion dollar industry that is making money off others playing a game that can affect their long term health doesn't give them medical care afterwards, but that's also part of why they get paid so well today, it's not the league's problem most can't save for retirement. But it's also not surprising that they don't have it seeing as how Vets don't get much assistants, and first responders needed to have a celebrity help them fight for almost 20 years to get help in what is supposed to be the best Country that makes everyone pay for their own medical care.....

Breaking Bad Movie 10/11/19 - Netflix

Malcolm? Or maybe just the effects of doing too much meth? -
The only difference was it was not a secret and widely known the Kawhi wanted to play at home and it's why the Spurs were willing to trade him cause they knew they weren't re-signing him. Everyone knew he would end up playing in LA, he listened to other offers but there was almost no chance he wasn't going to play in LA unless LA didn't want him or another team gave in to some huge demands. I don't think I have seen or heard any comments that Clowney wants to play closer to where he grew up. From what I have seen, he just doesn't want to play under the Tag and wants to go somewhere that will pay him with a long term deal.

That's how they could end the movie, I'm sure it would go over well with fans to find out everything was just a dream..... Or we find out Walter survived and has a new family with 4 boys and a wife struggling to get by...... -

Black cloak and a double red light Sabre? -
So you prefer to have 2 players needed to make up the production of only 1? This reminds me of last offseason when everyone downplayed interest in getting a great dlinemen from the Raiders because 'it wasn't the right time' or 'the cost would be too high', etc. If you have a chance to upgrade any position with better players you should do it. Buffalo should hold alot of the cards in this type of deal because the Texans have little options of either dealing him or letting him sit out. A good GM should be able to get a deal done without having to overpay and while looking at what the Texans need, the Bills have some options for them that are expendable. As for Miami, they can offer their entire draft and roster to the Texans, but if he won't sign the tender, it won't matter.

Your right, an older vet who barely played for the team and wasnt a huge part of the team walking away is something to be mad about compared to your franchise QB and the cornerstone of your offence deciding right before the season starts to shock everyone and walk away before turning 30.
-
I don't think I blame the fans much. Bills fans ripped Davis, an older veteran who wasn't a huge part of a rebuilding team, for retiring during halftime of a game because he just didnt feel like he could do it anymore. These fans just had a similar thing happen to them but with their franchise QB who was the star of their offence and decided that 2 weeks before the season opener, he just doesn't feel like he wants to play anymore. The team now went through the draft and FA without being able to find a replacement for him to backup Brissett

Im sure the evil genius has a way around that.....

Lol, just looking at the stats, Wilson has thrown for 10 more yards in the same amount of completions but one less attempt, and is averaging the same Yards per carry on the ground.....
