If signed to the regular PS, teams could take him but for their 53 (and since he wasn't claimed while making very little), I doubt anyone is going to swipe him off the PS from Buffalo, they may make an offer to put him on the PS though

That rule may apply for the 53 man roster, not for PS signings

I think it may have more to do with the Bills having more younger players being cut then previous years where they were signing a bunch of scrub veterans to fill the roster for the year and then cutting some of them. They signed less scrub guys this offseason

But it seemed like in previous years we always had rumored lists of PS signings way before that leaked out

It could happen, if the Bills felt as highly about him as the fans, I'm sure they would want him with the exception, but if he is offered a regular PS spot on another team they would make him an offer to not use the exception for him I don't think anyone really knows, lol I think the exclusive rights only apply to the 11th man exception for the PS

Even the Bills apparently wanted him for the PS, but never got the chance since the panthers claimed him for the 53.

I think it may also have to do with what is out there and what Duke wanted. He was probably told when cut yesterday that numbers wise they couldn't keep him over others but they really wanted him and he would be the first one brought up to fill a roster spot when one opens.

Its always funny how people always predict after cuts that the Bills are going to sign all of their cuts to the PS, and then end up signing mostly other teams cuts with maybe a couple of their own What about 25? There you go, Bills fans rejoice!

His age, I believe you have to be on Waivers if you have less then 4 years experience in the league. Over that, your a FA right away

The PS seems to be used differntly depending on positions A PS QB is someone the team feels needs work but is not someone they want to see the field for a while WR's, RBs, Linemen, they seem to be guys that teams liked but weren't good enough to make the 53 right away and they are being held on the team as a potential fill in later in the year after an injury. When was the last time a team brought in a PS QB to fill in when their starter went down?

I think his best assett was kick returns and they brought in last years best at that this offseason (don't recall if they kept him around though....) Everytime I thought of him I thought he was this front offices version of Roscoe Parrish

Yeah, kinda crazy calling him a God because he was able to get a few late round picks for guys they may have otherwise cut. (Guys who fans felt were horrible, but the 'God' thought highly enough of to bring in as starters) He didn't rob teams like other teams did to the Texans this weekend, and he didn't make the team any better this year with those moves (but he didn't really make them any worse either....)

Well they haven't signed any of the available FAs, and it wasn't because they were waiting on a waiver claim...............

Is losing Ray-Ray really that much of a loss though? He has yet to really show that he has the ability to do anything on the field yet

But are they really a Security Blanket? They may know the offence but that won't help if they aren't good enough to run it. If Allen or Barkley went down they would sign someone off the street. Coaching won't carry them through games if the QB sucks. Nate Peterman knew the offence and ran it with the same coaches and they couldn't carry the team through a few games. PS QBs are guys that they don't think are ready for the league but have tools they believe could be good if they can coach them up.

But what about Wade?????? Weren't teams going to be fighting over themselves to try and snag him away from the Bills and he would never see the PS?????

It also helps that he isn't white, Netflix would never be able to put out a special where a white guy tells the audience he doesn't believe the people who claim to be molested by MJ actually were.....
