All I'm saying is that is it really inference if the guy can still catch the ball? Did the player really get interfered with then? -

Seems kinda weird that pass interference can be called on a play where the WR makes the catch. -

Of course it does, why wouldn't it? It just got an extra shot of youthfulness yesterday afternoon after 4pm....... I expect this will be another one of those record years for them where they look unbeatable again...... -

It's only one game and they don't look good. There will be a bunch of hot takes from today that will look different in a few weeks. -

I'm not sure if he is a good coach or not, but I do agree that this may be a transition year for them as they work to replace Bell and Brown and the defence gets older -

It's funny, I was at the store making my picks for today's games and their were a couple older guys talking about this game and Ben, the one guy said to give him a bad game or 2 and he will start threatening retirement again. The way they are playing, he may join Luck soon....... -
As it should. They got themselves into a huge self inflicted jam and don't deserve a good grade because they managed to sneak out a win in the end. And I think giving the Jets a D is generous, they did blow the game. They were gifted 4 turnovers and managed to do something only about 2% chance of doing by losing a game when they were given 4 turnovers. The Bills were lucky the turnovers didn't put them into a deeper hole then it did and that the Jets weren't able to take advantage.

Bills (1-0) at Jets (0-1) Postgame thread

Its a 43 yarder, they have a similar chance of missing the FG as they do having the punt blocked, the punter shanking it, or a possible return. Make the FG and you force the Jets to score a TD -

Bills 17, Jets 16!! Game Balls...
apuszczalowski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder if it helped for Singletary that they barely ran the ball early on and he was pretty fresh late in the game when the Jets defence was worn down. He made some good runs and helped win the game later on. -

I just don't understand why they didn't kick the FG instead of punting at the end? The punt ends up a touchback which would be the same as if they were kicking off and atleast this way the Jets have to score a TD. I kept expecting them to get into range ad then the kicker would redeem himself by kicking a perfect FG to make up for the rest of the game and get a win. Atleast it all worked out and their kicker was probably given a one way ticket back home as he got back to his locker....... -

The defence today was better then expected and probably could have been even better had they been able to play a little looser with a lead. They made what should be a pretty good offence look pedestrian all day -

Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS

But isn't an agent's contract based off of a percentage of the total contract? They may agree to take money paid at certain points of the deal, but I doubt they are contingent on the client having to fulfill it. -

I don't know, BB has an ego too, and it's possible if he can get him for vet minimum with incentives, BB could then show the world again why he is the greatest by being able to reign in someone that others thought was impossible. -

You think a guy like Drew would keep AB around after causing him to lose his cut of ABs deal with his antics after all the work he had to put in to get him it in the first place? I would think if he isn't getting paid, he would be dropping AB right now since the next contract he negotiates for him is probably going to be for vet minimum with incentives. -

I don't think it matters because the team doesn't pay the agent, the player who hired him does, so I would think AB would still owe his agent his cut because his agent did his job negotiating the deal for him. The only way he wouldn't get paid is if he declined taking it now that he isn't getting paid, or if his client contract with Brown says he only gets paid if the contract is fulfilled (I can't see that because then agents would lose out if/when players get cut without completing the deal) -

I would think his client still would owe him his cut because he did manage to negotiate and get him the deal. I doubt its contingent on them fulfilling the entire deal. Wouldn't this be the same as a player signing a long term deal and getting cut before it's over? -

I wouldn't rule out cap space because I think if he wants to play, he is only getting a vet minimum show me deal with incentives. He isn't getting anything big from anyone. I doubt he is willing to sign for the Bears, they have no QB to get him the ball. And he wouldn't go to Buffalo after Beane and the Bills turned him down after they only checked into him (he was so hurt his camp had to make up a story that he turned the Bills down...) -

Mayock is the GM, and he has been covering and evaluating the Game for a while, what have other new GMs done differently to get their jobs that give them so much more respect? He isn't coaching where you could argue playing the game or being in the game might help -

I don't get it, are they just sexually attracted to homes? Or are they only turned on by making love at home? -

But didn't he lose all the money from the Raiders because of the fines and clauses?
