  1. It's funny because he could go down as one of the worst 1st round QB picks from that year. The Jets traded up for him that year. With Rosen he fell and hasn't necessarily had the best chances to succeed going to a bad Arizona team that gave up on him early because the new coach wanted 'his guy's and then shipped off to a worse Miami team. Darnold has been given way more opportunity to succeed with the Jets. He doesn't have the greatest weapons, but it's widely over blown how bad his weapons are. Watching him play today, there were alot of plays that his weapons didn't have a chance on. He's just been so overhyped
  2. It's funny because this morning I was reading some of the writeups of picks by the 'experts' on CBS and the write up they had on this game mentioned that the problem with the Colts could be Rivers trying too hard and doing too much to try and show everyone he isn't done.... I think normally, with a regular offseason and preseason they may have been better because of the time and practice they would have gotten together. It will probably take them a few games to get up to speed and I to a rhythm with all the new players. It's rare for a team to add so many new players and come right in and dominate. If they all continue playing together next year they could be really good, but this season will probably start out rough and get better as it goes on, unless their attitude has them quitting because it's tough. It's a tough division they are in, the Saints are still the favorites.
  3. But how do you enforce it the whole time? It would be much easier and allow everyone to forgo the precautions if everyone wore hazmed suits or bubbles, but it's easier and more practical to just limit how many people are permitted on the sidelines. If he isn't playing in the game or part of the crew need to play and produce the game, he doesn't need to be there, other then being a fan/cheerleader. First world problems I guess when players and fans get upset & angry because they cant attend a sporting event in person
  4. Everyone knows the proper procedure to starting a season are 1. Get out pitchforks and polish them in preparation for running the scapegoat out of town (if you are not a pitchfork carrier make sure your torch is clean and you have plenty of matches and starter fluid) 2. Pick up your shirt/jersey off the floor under your couch where it ended up after the last game 3. Retrieve your Hat and dust it off from behind the TV where it ended up after you through it at the end of the last game while screaming how your done with this team.
  5. I would assume it's a numbers thing and limiting areas to only those that need to be there. The players aren't living in bubbles like the NHL and NBA, they go home to their families and because of this risk catching it while they are away from the team. They are also not in contact regularly with the other team and with the game officials and other crew there to broadcast the games. Adding extra people to the sidelines just adds to the possibility that someone could get infected.
  6. Not according to the Yankees, they still feel it's not up to the standards it should be and allowed the Jays to steal signs and make them look bad As for JBJ, the only ones who ever made mention of buying and relocating the team were scarred Bills fans who assumed that it was all a devious plot with Rogers to steal the team away.
  7. There's no excuses, you have had plenty of time to have it dug out by now and at the ready.......
  8. The streets have not been closed to the public which would warrant trespassing charges? It's not like the police aren't trying to arrest or charge anyone caught looting or burning down buildings.
  9. There's a way to do it to change the setting of your keyboard. It's a pain because I have hit the shortcut a few times by accident and had to google how to switch back
  10. Yup, it's all a democratic conspiracy over the US election that the entire world is all participating in and playing along with I realize most Americans believe the world revolves around them, but this has nothing to do with the election in November.....
  11. That's why I'm hesitant when drafting the Bills defence/ST in fantasy, they are a good defence in the NFL, but aren't one to get huge points cause they don't score as often as you need. I don't know if we are going to see a big difference this year. There wasn't alot of change to the defence this year and I don't think it's McDermotts style to expect much scoring from them. I always think of him as an old school football guy who expects the defences job to stop the other teams offence and get the ball back to the offence and let them get the points. The defence may have a strength now being together going into another year, but other teams also now have more video of the Bills defence to look at
  12. The euros are usually more open to this in certain places ( beaches, bars, in general public) but they also are a bit more stuff when it comes to the classier places. Walking through a city street or in a bar/club wearing that outfit is accepted. Going to a high class restaurant or museum/art gallery they usually expect more 'class'.......
  13. The Bills lease the facility and property from the county so it isnt just open to anyone being able to walk in whenever Nd wherever they want. The Bills can restrict who can enter the facility. Your municipality/state/country have buildings that are tax payer funded, but it doesn't mean you have the right to enter them whenever you want our go anywhere you want in them. You cant just walk into your towns City Hall building after hours and sit in the mayor's office because you pay taxes and it's a publically funded building. Public parks can have signs posted listing hours that your permitted to enter and use them. We have public arenas and pools where they have hours of operations and fees for using them even though tax money was used to build them and they are public.
  14. I took the Bears defence for my bench but ended up changing my mind and dumping them on waivers for the Titans defence as I already had Pittsburgh's defence to start.
  15. Allen to throw more then 200 yards......... Seriously, I would like to see an offence that looks capable of competing with the better offences and not having to rely on the defence being dominant to win a game. It would be nice to see an offence that teams feel they need to slow down or stop to stay in a game and isn't going to be afraid to run up a score. The last few years it seems very few teams felt the need to worry about the Bills offence taking over the game, they felt they needed to get a few score and their defence to play well enough to win because they wouldn't be running up the score. Anytime the Bills were talked about, they barely mentioned the offence, it was all about how well the defence played to keep them in games so the offence could do just enough to get a win.
  16. I always find that it lessens the blow of watching the Bills lose because then atleast you can look and say not everything's bad if your fantasy team does well. But having a bunch of Bills players on your team, the Bills losing affects your fantasy team too and is going to make you extra angry/disappointed because you can't say 'Atleast the Bills won' when your fantasy team is bad or 'Atleast I did well in my fantasy league's when the Bills lose.
  17. But where did you hear your info from? Maybe media guys thought Smart did well and Zimmer didn't, but it appears Beane and McDermott thought otherwise because he is one of the 4 protected players on the PS this week for the Bills. Sometimes the fans or media might think someone looks better, but the coaches and management think differently because they know what was asked of the player and what they want to see from them. (Just as an example, people might watch a RB and think he isn't doing well because he keeps running up the middle and not breaking off long runs or going outside. Meanwhile it could be because the coaches asked him to keep doing that because they want them to work on that and wants the defence to practice that.) Also, maybe he looked good because he was doing something that fans feel is important (like getting pressure/sacks) but is not doing what they need from him stopping the run and that's what they feel they need to do more.
  18. Well I wouldn't unpack my bags if I was Williams cause he seems to be someone this front office just can't completely let go of.......
  19. I don't know about contracting (I'm not really in favour of expansion either) but I think they do need some relocation of franchises or some new ownership groups taking over teams. I think Montreal could make a good location for a team again, even Vancouver could make a team work (just watch a Jays/Mariners game and see how many fans from BC fill the stadium for the Jays). Teams like the Marlins and Rays should be on notice that if they can't improve attendance, they could be relocated. As for a team like Pittsburgh, there issue just seems to be cheap management holding them back....
  20. Because the Yankees are in Baltimore, and Yankees fans abandon the bandwagon when they don't look to be the dominant team. Mets fans know their team too well and aren't going to put in that much effort to storm the field over their team....... I thought the table smashing just showed how hardcore and amazing fans they are? How's that not great PR for the team?
  21. And I'm sure they aren't going to arrest or charge you if you are just walking down the street to get from point A to point B. They might tell you the road is closed and to keep moving as long as your not stopping to drink in public.
  22. Hey look, an Old white man who thinks everything is fine the way it is...... When did I say I would join the riots/protests or was anti police? All I was saying is that theres a big difference between throwing tantrums and wanting to 'protest' so you can attend a sporting event and tailgate, and protesting blacks being killed during routine minor police confrontations.
  23. You mentioned nothing about masks, you said that it would be bad PR for the Bills to not allow people to tailgate at the stadium. I said it might be worse PR to be the cause of an outbreak because you allowed it
  24. Would it be better PR that they are the cause of a virus being spread so people could attend a televised sporting event in person? Just looking at KC last night, they had fans in all sections spaced out, so chances are they would need almost a full security staff to have enough to cover the areas. This also requires most of the concession stands being opened or partially opened. It wouldn't be a problem if they could have everyone sitting in only a couple areas, but then how do they get spaced out properly?
