Gruden didnt want Haskins
apuszczalowski replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems like it's becoming more and more common for HCs and front offices to be on different wave lengths when it comes to who they want and how they want to do things. GMs appear to be wanting to decided on what they want the team to look like and want the coaches to follow their vision while the coaches feel that the team should be how they want it and the GMs job is to get what the coaches want. This is fine if the Coach and GM are on the same page and want and believe the same things, but when they aren't it's a huge mess and you get what went on in Arizona and now what appears to be going on in Washington. Teams wasting draft picks cause nobody is working together and they are just doing what they want to do. It's also possible it has always been like this but with the current media and access to insider stuff it is just becoming public more now. -
Two beers very expensive in Phish stadium - $724
apuszczalowski replied to Saxum's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Ripping off the fans on the field and in the stands........ I read the article earlier and they made it sound like they really were charging an insane amount for beer when it was just one of the vendors scamming people with technology. -
I thought Andre Reed was there....

McDermott in early COY discussion

But the Bills had to come back to beat the Jets and Bengals, and almost let a game against the Giants slip away. I wouldn't dismiss other teams wins against bad teams when Buffalo hasn't beaten anyone with a winning record yet. -
Yeah, no thanks, not that desperate....

Worth it? No I don't think she looks anything special that would want me to risk getting my testicles crushed........

Game Day Experience: Week 4 (Pats* at Bills)

It should be hard to prevent if they followed the rules they were going to put in place and not permit intoxicated people into the stadium, and the stadium should be refusing to serve anyone inside that appears to be intoxicated -
What's for dinner tonight?
apuszczalowski replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
Give it a few months and the scientists & 'experts' will be telling us to eat more of it and less of something else, and then a few months later something else will cause cancer, etc This happens all the time (but more frequently now it seems). I wouldn't be surprised if it's because scientists and experts are being persuaded by certain industries to find what they find. Just look at the diet trends today, no the latest fad involves eating bacon and high amounts of fat but staying away from Carbs and Sugar even if the sugars are natural from fruits and vegetables. A few years ago it was eliminating gluten. There really one true way to be healthy, and it's to stay active and don't eat in moderation and not so much processed and packaged foods. Talk to the people in their 80s and 90s right now and they probably grew up eating things cooked in lard or having things that may have sugar, but they worked doing physical work during the day and were active. They didn't spend their time sitting around and eating prepackaged foods packed with preservatives and other additives. There's no magic way to be healthy or lose weight outside of being active and not eating so much crap. -
Study: Asian carp could find plenty of food in Lake Michigan
apuszczalowski replied to T&C's topic in Off the Wall Archives
So your saying they need to get a head start and build the wall now in the middle of the great lakes? -
Game Day Experience: Week 4 (Pats* at Bills)
apuszczalowski replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It's why I stopped going to games Too many alcoholics there just as an excuse to be drunk in public and obnoxious and think it's acceptable and makes them a 'super fan' cheering on their team. -
At first I thought that this was meant to bring him in as a backup which I wouldn't have a problem with But reading on and seeing people's reactions that this would be to compete for the starter spot, I would agree with most and say no, he would be losing his job as the starter in Carolina for a reason, and it's not because the backup has looked elite in his absence.

What's incredible with that is there's no central post for support like most spiral staircases so this would take alot of engineering and design to make it support itself and the weight of people walking on it. As for spiral stairs, they look cool but most places they won't pass codes and be permitted where ever a stairway is required. (Some places may let you get away with them for a secondary stairwell)

Study: Asian carp could find plenty of food in Lake Michigan
apuszczalowski replied to T&C's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I remember as a kid it was all about the Zebra mussells taking over the great lakes, now nothing about them but it's all about the Asian Carp. Asian Carp is ok and the government won't be stepping in unless the Mexican Carp try to get in somehow. I did wonder if there was an issue with eating them, if there wasn't a problem with it, why not just fish for them and solve the problem by eating them? All they need is for some famous chef or a hipster restaurant to start cooking it and they will be complaining in a few months that there's a shortage.... As for using them in Cat food, are you Mad? Today's pet owner doesn't serve their fur babies anything but the most premium food. Serving them something you would not eat yourself would be like beating the animal or abandoning it. I usually by one of the name brand cat foods at Walmart for my 2 cats, but one day I was at a local pet store buying cat litter and decided to just buy food there so I wouldn't have to make another stop on my way home. The woman at the register seemed disgusted at the fact that I was buying that food and not one of the more expensive premium brands. She gave me 2 sample bags of the premium natural stuff to give them and said "here, give them some of this so they aren't eating the equivelant of junk food everyday" -
I am into woodworking and am slowly trying to get the time to organize my garage to get a shop set up so I can do alot more. I've built bookcases on my porch and in the basement because it's where I had space. Even built an Arbour type thing for my wedding a few nights before in my basement for the reception. It all depends on what you are looking to do and build. If you want to build furniture like tables and benches and bookcases, bigger tools like table saws and compound miter saws are good ones. If you plan on just building smaller things like shelves or jewellery boxes or other littler more detailed things, scroll saw, drill press and table top disc/belt sander are good choices. It also depends on how elaborate you plan on getting. A router with a table is a good one to have eventually if you want nicer edges for things. Best bet to start is (as said above) look in the local classified ads online, you can get some good stuff for cheap at estate sales, or from people who bought them and then decided they didn't need it and it's been collecting dust. I bought a table saw, planner, joiner and a few other older heavy duty tools cheap from local online classifieds that I would have never bought if I had to pay full price for. It's also good to have a good set of the basic hand tools in the shop (and lots of clamps) because sometimes it's just better to take a few extra minutes to do something by hand then use a power tool. I have always liked building furniture and have been trying to get into building wooden toys for years. Ever since I was a kid I have loved going to craft shows and checking out wooden cars and trucks so I have been starting to collect plans and hope to soon get my shop set up to build them

You said the entire NFL gave up on EJ, it only took a couple of teams and a few years later though.......

First coach fired this season?
apuszczalowski replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering the rumors were that losing to the Giants would be it for him, I'd say that's a pretty good guess....... Atlanta's HC, Carolinas, Vikings too, they have been in place for a while and have had bad starts so far this season. Tomlin could be a wildcard but doesn't seem to be how Pittsburgh operates. Anthony Lynn in LA with the Chargers slow start. -
Today I learned...Part 3

And today I have now learned that this is what they were refering to on Seinfeld in that episode. I assumed at the time it was regular rat and just another name for it........ -

I think last summer or the year before a few of them broke out of the Toronto Zoo and were running around the City for a while. I think they caught them all I can understand the one in Minnesota, I don't know why you would want to and risk it, gets pretty damn cold there in the winter...... This weekend Sex toys were banned in certain part of Orchard Park....... -
Electrical is one of the only things I don't have to look at or worry about. Here we have a separate organization the inspects under their own electrical codes. The Building code here in Ontario doesn't really get into electrical outside of where lights are required and a few other smaller details. Interpretation of codes can be big because everything is written in 'legal jargon' and some things can be interpreted differently. You can get into some debates over whether the inside of an attached garage is classified as still being inside the house or outside.

Make the trade for Stephon Diggs
apuszczalowski replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well Thielen did come out after the game frustrated by the coaches wanting to run the ball all the time and said that when the running game isn't working you have to start throwing the ball. I would think he is closer to being traded over Diggs unless Cousins and the coaching staff are almost out the door? -
After how many years did the NFL give up on EJ? He was still on a roster until this offseason......

Josh's foot work in the first qtr - Woof
apuszczalowski replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watch Brady though, his feet are dancing all over the place when he is looking to throw -
Brady has commented on the hit, says He never likes seeing injuries, but the hit was just part of the game Hope he remembers that next time a defensive player gets within 5' of him and he's prancing around to the refs screaming for a penalty call....... Too bad no one in this league has the balls to actually hit him......
