  1. It's not essential that you have to throw for 300 yards to win a game, your defence could dominate the game and help out, or your running game might be on and carry the offence some weeks. But if you want to be the best, it's something you need to be able to show that you can do when needed and so far the Bills have not shown they can do it which will allow teams to focus more on stopping their run game or exploiting weaknesses in the defence. Teams may not do it every week, or even need to do it, but the good teams will do it. So far it's working for the Bills against weak opponents, but how much confidence are you going to have in them beating KC or Baltimore of they are only putting up 250 yards passing all game? Allen was drafted based on him having a strong arm, the deep ball was supposed to be a strength (along with his legs), what was the point in getting him if you want a game manager offence with a short throw pocket passer? Personally, I find the issue is coaching, McD is too old school trying to win with a dominant defence and a weak offence. He seems too 'nice' and doesn't have the 'step on the gas/throat' mentality that's needed. We have seen many games where it looks like Allen could go 400 for the game after the 1st half, then in the second the offence sputters and they just hold on enough to win hoping they can just kick the clock for 2 quarters and the defence dominate. There are many here who keep throwing out 'Who cares, Allen and the Bills are 6-2, wins are all that matters', yet they complain about Daboll and how bad he is, but he is also 6-2 and winning, just like Allen and the rest of the Bills. He is winning as the OC.....
  2. The only way the national media starts to take notice is if they start beating the bad teams convincingly, not scratching out wins against the worst teams with 4th quarter comebacks. Once they start beating the bad teams convincingly, and winning games against winning teams, they will be viewed as not being as good as their record and won't be taken seriously. Their wins aren't impressing anyone outside of Buffalo. The Eagles game wasn't anything new or revealing, it just magnified what has happened all year except they are a good team and won the game. In week 2 the Giants started out the game showing everyone the Bills weakness in trying to stop the run when they had Barkley running over everyone. They beat the Jets and Titans only because neither of them had a kicker who could hit a FG to save their lives. The Pats loss appears to be more of an outlier/fluke result where it may have just been a bad/off week by the Pats then the Bills really being that good.
  3. I was just thinking when i heard it, did the Dolphins front office call this in to the league asking for the suspension? These were for the incidences that took place in the offseason and led to him being released by the Bengals I believe Dolphins get their first win and then the league decides to make a decision?
  4. It doesn't matter, they have earned the respect because of their past 20 years of play And outside of their win against the Bills, they have dominated the teams in their other wins Something the Bills havent done yet.
  5. Well them and the Double digit wins against the other teams. They also have 20 years of signature wins.......
  6. Actually its not, if you dominate those teams (like you should) they take notice. When you need 4th quarter comebacks and struggle during the games to keep the lead, your not going to get the respect of being great. And they won all of those games by double digits, in most cases embarrassing the other team In most of those games when the Bills played, the score was close and 4th quarter comebacks were needed....... Being in a small market never seems to be an issue for the packers
  7. Depends on how messed up this guy really is. Might not help being fired for his comments if he is mentally unstable....
  8. What would be the shortest reign as a HC hired by a team during an offseason? Has anyone ever been fired before finishing a season (I'm not including BB being hired then quiting the Jets job, or counting guys that were given the job on an interim basis during a season)?
  9. Possibly one of those fluke Lake Erie Hurricanes?
  10. If it wasn't a private flight, it sounds like security may need to be checked at the airport's again. You would think with all the supposed security for flights that it would be impossible to just end up on the wrong flight without someone noticing and stopping it. Atleast he wasn't carrying any large bottles of shampoo or water with him....
  11. That will only be an issue against the Jets......(for the Jets of course) It does seem like the games against the Browns always end up with the weather being odd and the game being brutal. Anyone check the weather report yet? Cleveland expecting a blizzard this weekend?
  12. You hope He has won games without Brady, and his last 2 picks as Bradys heirs are leading the Colts and the 8-0 49ers right now. He may not find another Brady, but he has found some other good ones recently
  13. And they did what they were supposed/expected to do and beat them convincingly. They now lose one game to a team that is viewed as the 2nd/3rd best team in the AFC and they lose which is something they are bound to do sometime this season (They only have 1 undefeated season in their history)
  14. And the Bills have yet to beat a team with a winning record....... They struggled against a team that many of the experts around the league view as being the 2nd/3rd best team in the AFC and a team that usually gives them trouble Bradys particularly bad game still had him throwing for the same amount of TDs, and more yards then Allen with 1 INT The Ravens offence has looked good in many games this year and this wasn't the first time this year they scored over 20 points.....
  15. Aren't you supposed to give new hires atleast til their 3rd year before you fire them? Everyone seemed to have that mentality here with Rex.........
  16. Whats to worry about? Dayboll and the Bills offence is 6-2 right now, they won, thats all that matters If you believe otherwise your not a Fan and should go cheer for the Pats..............
  17. Except Like Usual, they are beating them convincingly and aren't struggling to get the win 8 wins this season with 7 by Double digits (By 30 vs Pitts, 43 vs Mia, 16 vs Jets, 26 vs Was, 21 vs Giants, 33 vs Jets, 14 vs Browns, only close win was by 6 vs Bills) The Bills biggest victory was the 15 today against the Redskins which would be the Pats 3rd lowest margin of victory this season. Against common opponents, the Bats beat the Jets by 16 & 33, Bills beat them by 1, Pats beat Miami by 43, Bills by 10, by 26 vs Washington compared to by 15, by 21 vs the Giants compared to 14 by the Bills. So yeah, The Pats are also beating teams that aren't winning also, but they are atleast doing it convincingly as they are expected to. It did look like this week that the Bills might make a statement and finally have a dominating game against the Redskins after the 1st half, but like usually, they went into a shell for the 2nd half and decided to just try and run out the rest of the game clock.
  18. But they beat the Juggernaut Redskins and for the first time all season the offence put up 20+ points How can you not be thinking about what hotel you will be staying at for the SB and where the best seat will be for their parade?
  19. I'm only saying what he is trying to say, I'm not saying it is true or not. But winning out involves them and the pats being both at worst 14-2, along with beating the Ravens. According to him the Bills would have the tie breaker and would get the #1 seed
  20. Because then if the Bills win out, they will have Beaten NE in NE, and would win the tie breaker against them giving them the #1 seed, therefore the Bills are in control because they just have to win out.......
  21. What would be the shortest time as a HC that wasn't an interim move?
  22. I don't even think that happens, don't think even Gruden had a hard on for him?
  23. Singleterry and Brown look like 'make a wish' kids on the field compared to everyone else, they are tiny.......
  24. I didn't realise the Bills were allowed to do that?
