  1. I think that if it is Bills related, it should be ok, because after all, its a Bills board, so if someone has a show or something where a current or former Bills player will be on, they should be alright to let people know Although if what they are doing is Bills related, and they stand to gain a profit from (like selling t-shirts, or other items) they should be required to pay a fee or "donation" to the site as an advertising expense We have links posted to articles and websites/blogs all the time, so I don't see why it should be a problem to see someone post a link to a show or blog thats Bills related.
  2. Its called negotiations, they need both sides to come to an agreement, and its much worse for the Bills front office (and makes them even dumber) if they just hand these guys blank cheques and tell them to fill in whatever they want. They are talking with Evans, he even said he has had talks and is looking it over and not in a rush. With Peters, they did just sign him to a deal, and now because he has lived up to his potential and feels he is underpaid, wants it renogotiated not even half way through it. If the Bills turn around and cave in and give him what he wants, it will show other players that all you have to do is threaten a hold out if you have played up to your deal (no matter how many years you played under that deal) and they will give you what you want just because you are good. Thats not smart negotiating and its not bush league either
  3. Exactly, they did, they signed him to something both thought was fair. The problem is, it was only fair when he was paid modestly/overpaid, but once a player fees underpaid, its time to renegotiate. Like I said in a different post, would he be asking to renogotiate to get a lower contract or give money back if he was mediocre or sucked at LT and was being overpaid? If you do this for him, where does it stop? If Lynch has another great year, do you renegotiate his rookie contract? What about Edwards? What if he leads the offence to TD's this year and plays better then a player who was picked before him? Do you renegotiate? What about Evans? If you lock him up to a long term deal now, and he has a Pro Bowl season next year, do you re-do his new deal to reflect the Pro Bowl nomination? The Bills knew they had something in Peters, its the reason why they wanted to lock him up early before they had to pay sky rocketed UFA salary to keep him, and he knew he was being groomed for bigger things. He accepted the long term deal, now he needs to live with it
  4. I understand that too, and I'm not for the Owners being allowed to cut players just because they don't want to pay them what they agreed too. It goes both ways, which is why I prefer the NHL's system where the contract is pretty much guaranteed with no renegotiations and a buyout required to end it early. The problem that this breads is that it no longer makes sense to lock up a player early because once they start to perform up to their contract, they will hold out for more money.
  5. I know we are all scared of losing him and that he is underpayed at his position compared to others, but I don't agree with just giving him his money, cause it then shows the other players they can get what they want when they want. I'm sorry, Peters signed a deal, early and long term for what he thought was fair, nowing he was going to be playing RT and probably moving to LT. If the move didn't work out, would he be willing to re-negotiate and lower his deal, and give back that money that he was overpaid? Highly unlikely, so why should the Bills do the same because he feels he is underpayed? You signed a contract, play it out for the terms you agreed to, and next time, if you think you are going to be worth more in the future, don't sign a long term deal.
  6. Drinking a Miller Lite produces a "drunk Driver" who will kill innocent people Thats a closer comparison if you want to paint with such a broad brush. First of all, he said to hand out condoms to make it a "safe" sex party, just like having an adult present makes it a "safe" drinking party. Wearing a condom is supposed to stop you from getting most STD's and pregnancy, just like having a parent/guardian/shaparone present is going to stop over drinking/alcohol poisoning/drunk driving and make it safe.
  7. thats probably because you aren't black (I'm assuming ) I remember reading an article about a "movie reviewer who was ripped for saying they didn't enjoy the latest Tyler Perry movie and didn't think he was all that great of a writer because most of his stuff was the same, with typical black stereotypes, and they went off on him because he's not black and that Tyler Perry was making films that relate to the black audiences that hollywood studios don't cater movies to. I have yet to see any of these TV "pop up ads", but I can tell you I would be furious seeing that. I'm trying to watch a scheduled program, and you are interupting it with a commercial not at a commercial break?
  8. I have watched it a couple times here on Showcase (Canadian cable station that started shows like Trailer Park Boys, and Kenny vs. Spenny) and its not bad. The ones I remember and thought were pretty good was the one were they thought the one guy was a serial killer, and the one with the dance contest at the bar
  9. One of the reasons they let go of Leftwich was because they had Gray and Garrard. Garrard was #2 behind Leftwich before last season, does that mean he sucks too and shouldn't be starting? I don't know why the Texans let him go, apparantly it looks like its because they like Sage better or couldn't trade him away. No one is saying to bring Gray in and have him take over the #1 job, but as a #2 (if they could deal Losman) or a #3 right now until next season when Losman walks, is not a bad option since he did look good filling in last year. And my original comment had nothing to do with wanting him in Buffalo
  10. You can throw in Lacrosse Championships too I guess, and can you consider the Bisons a Pro-team? I think Buffalonians are sinking to a new low if they are seriously disapointed that they are not put on an ESPN list of top 20 "title towns". With no major sports championships, and no big college championships, its shocking ESPN overlooked Buffalo
  11. but in those couple of weeks throwing a ball around, he's made what an average (to slightly above average) person makes in 1 year
  12. I believe I'm about the same age as you, and i would have to completly disagree with this. Having the parents around wasn't going to help, because the parents that were holding the party were usually considered the "cool parents" for holding the party, and the kids weren't afraid of the parents not allowing them to do something. Maybe I have a different perspective on this because I never drank at these parties, I never drank until I was 21 (having an alcoholic father, I never had the urge to drink) Heck, I've been to parties just a few years ago with kids legal to drink and at their parents house and seen things get out of hand, and it is almost always worse the more people in attendance drinking.
  13. You think that 80 kids can be supervised enough by a couple parents (assuming that there were more parents there then just the host parents)? I have been to a few parties like this growing up, except that the drinking age here is 19. They were all "Supervised" by the parents, who either sat in one room watching TV, or were at the neighbors house "supervising" the party. Nothing ended up happening, except a bunch of my friends got drunk and ended up puking or passing out (or both), but thats not saying nothing else could have happened
  14. 18yr olds can legally have sex, they can't legally drink To make the comparrison fair, it would have to be an adult supervised BBQ/Pool/Beer party and a Supervised under 16 year old sex party
  15. You mean the ones that have Kelly spelled with a 'C'? Its one of the main reasons why I don't buy anything off the net not located in the US or Canada
  16. Someone call Marv back! He leaves and the place just goes crazy now
  17. True, if they actually look nothing like they are supposed to and you are trying to convince people its authentic. Whats the difference between wearing one that might be a knock off cause they used Blue #345 instead of Blue #348, and the "mesh" is slightly different, compared to wearing one that has ironed on numbers, instead of sewn on numbers?
  18. I'm talking about if you saw me at a game or walking down the street, and did not come up and look closely at it, could you really tell it wasn't even a replica?
  19. x2 Its hard to get excited about it, usually the sequel is either really bad, or just them trying to re-hash old jokes in a new movie
  20. So? Who cares? Can anyone actually tell that they are fake without having to take a close look at them? I bought a Whitner, and a Lynch, with the NFL tags on them for $30 and $50 last year, and they look real enough. Its not like the names were misspelled, or wrong numbers. The weight of the ones that I have don't feel super light, they feel heavier then the replica my sister bought me from a sports store for christmas one year.
  21. But in this case, they didn't make the new one because the old one did so well, otherwise this would be a sequel. Its more like, other comic movies make huge profit, popular comic character didn't do well last time, lets tweak it with new writers/director/producer/cast, and try to turn a bigger profit
  22. I've never been a fan of fake breasts I'd take some smaller sized real ones over comically large fake ones any day Obviously this really narrows her career path - Porn, Stripping, freakshow. And looking at the face, I'm leaning more towards freakshow for her. BTW - I have never found Sarah Jessica Parker attractive, or any of the cast of Sex and the City (FG had the best description of it, 3 hookers and their mother)
  23. I believe thats his actual name, and not a nickname "Can't get enough of that Coco Crisp....................................... getting his @ss kicked by the Rays!"
  24. The one they released a couple of years ago tanked when compared to other comic book movies, so they decided to just sweep that one under the rug and re-do it with new writers/directors/producers. Kind of like the new Batman movies which aren't prequels/sequels, they are just new movies of Batman and Hulk
