  1. I see, I went with a buddy to see it and we didn't stay til the end of the credits
  2. But my view of it was that its a wash, having him play and having him not play is not going to hurt the team anymore or any less.
  3. I would have thought 4th degree would be that you were in the vicinity of it. After seeing that there was a 7th degree, I figured that would be something like you lived in a neighborhood that had a dealer living about 5 houses down who had some coke on site As for the band and their music, I'm personally not a fan, but I have never had a problem with it, theres much worse out there being called music Whenever I think of them doing a childrens album, I keep thinking of Charlie Sheen on "Two and a Half Men" as Charlie Waffles, the persona he came up with to make childrens music. Maybe Steven page was trying to wmulate Charlie Sheen? I wouldn't be surprised to find out those girls were or are strippers/prostitutes
  4. I don't think losing out on having a McCown be your starting QB makes anything "worse", unless that means Beck is now named the starter without having to compete with Henne EDIT - Wow, it is sad to look at that list and realise that that is the QB depth chart in Miami right now. Personally to me this doesn't matter, even with McCown as the starter, I really don't see their QB position as a strength
  5. Fourth Degree possession? Later the say one of the woman was charged with 7th degree? How many degrees are there? And hey, if you were in a band that had just released an album of childrens songs after almost 20 years of playing and touring regular songs, wouldn't you want do a few lines when looking back at your career? Funny thing is, I just saw a commercial at the movie theatre (one of those ones made by the theatre company) where he was showing 2 "hosts" how to make his special popcorn that he makes and loves. I guess they left out the third kind thats covered in a mysterious white powder
  6. If its allowed under the CBA (or whatever the NFL has called it) then they could make it a conditional pick saying that it would become a first if he plays a game for another team besides the one he was traded for, or maybe a condition that says the Packers get to match any offer made to the team that traded for him if they try and deal him away before he plays a game for another team. but i don't know if the league would allow such conditions.
  7. well, then i guess that means that unless tampa has permission from GB, that would be tampering cause he is still officially a member of the Packers, but is just on their LTIR/Retired List
  8. Yup, pretty much its just the government forcing its hand into your pockets after you die to ensure it gets a fair share of inhertitence from you
  9. But I don't think he is officially retired, I haven't heard anywhere that he has officially signed the papers for the league to say he is retired. He is on the LTIR/retired list for the Packers, meaning he is still part of their club until he does officially retire in which case, then no one would have his rights and he could talk to whomever he wants. Players usually do this, they come out, and they give a PC saying they are retired and will not return, but they don't sign the papers yet so they can keep their options open, because once the papers are signed, you are then officially retired. They sometimes don't sign them for a while
  10. How is this a sad story? Sure 2 guys died, but if you are dumb enough to stand up on some seats on a open air double decker bus, you deserve what happens too you. And being drunk is no excuse. The Bus is responsible in getting you from point A to point B, not in making sure that you are behaving yourself and acting like an adult
  11. Bob Saget would NPH was pretty good in the sequel to Harold and Kumar (soiler alert - I can't believe they killed him though ) He is also the best part of that TV show
  12. He is only retireds in name (moved to the Packers long term IR/retired list) Like most athletes, he probably has not signed official retirement papers with the league yet "just in case". He is still under contract for 2 more years with GB and they still have his rights so yes it could be tampering if GB did not give him permission
  13. I don't think it is possible for the Packers to include anything in a trade that could exclude the other team from turning around and flipping him to another team of their choosing, besides just a handshake, "take him at his word" gentlemens agreement between the GM's
  14. The thing is with the Bills D-line and how they work it. There really isn't a starter/backup type status. They are rotational and rotate in and out all the time depending on the play or situation. Their DT's are more of a 1A/1B situation
  15. Well, when you look at it from an outsiders point of view, its understandable. In the offseason they opened up a hole by letting Trpplett walk (funny cause he usually opened holes up too on the line) and their big move was bringing in an older DT with injury problems that the jags didn't seem to mind trading away. They also picked up another Dt who is more of a rotational depth player who can also play DE. Untill they actually show improvement on the field, they are not going to impress much on paper. They need Stroud to prove that his ankle is 100% and that he can stay healthy. They need McCargo to continue to grow, and they need the DE to show they can go back and play at the level they played at a couple years ago, and that the decline last year was due to the poor DT play.
  16. Who knows, It all depends if Rodgers is ready and if he has learned anything the last couple years on the bench. If he steps in and plays like he did in the Dallas game last year, I don't think its that far of a step back. But of course it will be a step back, going from Brett Favre to anyone not named Peyton Manning or Tom Brady is going to be a step back for the team. The thing is, is it worth taking the step back now and let your potential new starter get his licks in now while the team is still young and developing, or after Favre finally makes a decision to retire and sticks with it.
  17. From what I have been reading, the team was fine with him coming back when they asked him after the season (apparently many times) if he was coming back. He said he was done, so they moved on I can't blame the Packers for doing what they are doing. He retired and said he would not come back, the teams is then forced to move on and prepare for the years ahead without him. Now he comes back and wants his spot back because he changed his mind and the team is supposed to stop everything and restart their prep for the upcoming season to accomodate him? I don't bame them for not accomodating his request to release him either. He has value, so I would keep him on the roster as a backup if he wants to play, trade him so you can control where he goes so he won't play within the division, or let him sit out and cry. All he had to do was say at the end of the year that he would play (he could have even said he would play but wouldn't be around til training camp) but he decided he didn't want to and stepped away.
  18. That veteran team is one of the youngest teams (if not the youngest) in the league right now http://www.nfl.com/news/story;jsessionid=E...mp;confirm=true The Packers were the NFL's youngest team this season, and several of their key players are locked into long-term deals
  19. I wouldn't say she is a super fat fatty, but I'd say that its an obvious "airbrushing" on that cover.
  20. I think the part that sours me on this entire situation is that the Packers had asked him many times at the end of the season if he was done and he said yes. He said he did not feel like playing anymore and was done. So the Packers finally moved on and made Rogers the starter and drafted Brohm. Now that they have already started moving on and are about to start training camp, he gets the urge to play again and wants to come back? I really think that the league should decide to make player retirements official. None of this announcing your retirement, but not signing the papers so theres a chance to change your mind. If you retire, you are done, hers a pension check, we will call you for some publicity events. personally I think this is making Brett look bad. He retired with class, leaving while he was still ahead and on top, with nothing else really to prove. I think the Packers should stick to their guns and say, backup here or stay retired, unless some team blows us away by offering to grossly overpay for him. But you know that won't happen because the NFLPA would step in and demand that the league make the Packers move him or release him if Brett is unhappy. Now saying all that though, I would not be against seeing Favre play a year or 2 in Buffalo as the starter
  21. I would put Donte Whitner in that Category if he was a "best of whats left" choice, but he was the guy that the Bills wanted all along. He was only the wrong choice because he wasn't who the fans wanted and who the Draft "experts" thought they should take. But your first point is the way I feel about picking up Mike Williams. He was rated as one of the top o-linemen in the draft that year. The Bills took him because they needed a linemen and he was supposed to be one of the best, unfortunatly for them, he was a bust and did not work out well. I can't blame the GM 100% for making that pick because the player was being scouted and predicted to be a great player. The player just didn't live up to the hype With Youbouty, he was supposed to be a value pick. Someone who could be a top pick in a year or 2, but was coming out early so their stock wasn't as high and was being viewed as more of a "project". Personally, I think that had his mom not died during his first season, he wouldn't be fighting for a roster spot right now. But that death really set him back which was something he probably couldn't afford to have happen since he was already a bit of a risky pick coming out early
  22. Some of the older ones in the past were designed by Roots clothing company. i think these are the first being designed by The Bay (or Hudson Bay company)
  23. Exactly, its not even a question of weither it should be legal or not, right now it isn't and its one of the rules that his employer (the NFL) has set. Yet these players keep trying to get away with it. As a player, you have accomplished something that not many people are able to do, and basically won the lottery, getting millions to play a game for a career. And one of the only things they ask is that you stay out of trouble, and no drugs. Is it that hard to, for the sake of your job, stay away from drugs and trouble for 5-10 years (depending on how good you are). When thats over, you can go out and do whatever you want and still have your money. Its the same with celebrities who party. With all your money you can't hire a driver to drive your fancy vehicle to the club with your friends? Hell, pay one of your friends to stay sober and be the DD so you don't end up with a police record
  24. He was one of those guys that they say if he spent another year in school, he would have been a first rounder. So taking him in the third was not a bad move, hoping that in a season or 2 of conditioning in the NFL, he would be that player who would have went in the 1st. The problem was that his development was slowed after he missed most of training camp when his mom died and was behind the curve his first season due to it, and has struggled to catch up and make strides yet. He still could become a decent corner, but he will need to step up now and play harder to make the roster because the Bills are moving forward, ready he is ready or not
  25. Yeah, those are interesting, and yes it looks like Pajamma's, or something you would see a white guy in a club wearing while trying to be "ghetto" or fit in at a Hip Hop club. The track suit and the pants from the track suit are bad, but the rest isn't that bad. It looks more like they are trying to go with something less formal The US just make it look like they are part of the new Olympic chess team, or are headed to the yacht club/country club to dine with Muffy and her husband Gerard The rest look like they could double as the airline attendants on their way to the games. Maybe thats their plan, work on the flights to get them cheaper so they can afford the ever rising training costs for amateur athletes.
