Peters angry with contrace? I doubt it.
apuszczalowski replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the time he was a starting RT, and they had plans to move him to LT, which they did by the middle of the first year in his current contract, in year 2 (his first year starting at LT) he became a Pro Bowler. Most will agree that for a Pro Bowl LT, he is underpayed right now, but the problem is that he just signed the contract, and they had to have had some kind of knowledge of the Bills plan to eventually move him to LT. Why would you then agree to a 5 year deal knowing that you will more then likely move positions to something that will be a higher paying spot? Why wouldn't you look for a 3 year deal so you can renegotiate quicker? -
MSN is rumoring it too http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8364800?MSNHPHMA

Pay their guaranteed money and have some of the salary on their cap. I knew someone who reply with that comment, and I don't think its fair either, but I bet half the guys that get cut for underperforming would still have a spot on the team if they went to the FO and said they would renegotiate a lower contract to stay. But that will never happen cause if they are released, theres a good chance they will just get picked up by another team that will give them a chance to redeem themselves -
You are also forgetting that the Jays have the worst and dumbest GM in the league. he's the guy that just released Frank Thomas for nothing, on a team that was struggling with hitting, and brings in Wilkerson and Mench. Also, his 2 "starting shortstops are now riding the bench wo a utility player can play short since neither SS can hit. He will probably end up keeping Burnett just to let him walk in the offseason. He is the same guy thet dealt Shoewenweiss and let Lily walk after the both had physical altercations with the coach, and never disaplined the coach for making the confrontations physical

I believe he has 3 left (he just finished year 2 of 5 IIRC) I agree, he does deserve more money, but he did just agree to this contract The problem with the NFL today is that a contract means nothing. If a player has a good year, they will want to renegotiate and will threaten to sit out. You don't get the ability anymore to have a guy signed to a reasonable deal (underpay) for long. Once they get to the point where they feel they are underpayed, they demand a raise or a new deal. You will never see a player ask to renegotiate for a lower deal cause they aren't living up to the one they have. -

??? If he is not upset with his contract, he would be in Buffalo ready for training camp and not threatening to hold out. How is his agent doing the right thing? His job is to get his player on the field in time for TC the regular season. His job is also to get his player the best deal when it comes time to negotiate a new deal. Obviously his agent didn't do a good job at that last one when 2 years ago he was negotiating a new long term deal for his client, knowing full well his client was playing RT and would be groomed to try LT eventually. I don't blame the agent or Peters for trying to get more now, but theres a few things to consider. If they figured he would be switching over to LT (and they obviously knew they would try it seeing as how they made the move halfway through his first year, why would they agree to a 5 year deal? why not a 2-3 year deal that they could renegotiate after he became established? And if it didn't work out in his favor and he didn't become a great LT, would he be willing to pay back any money or renegotiate for a lower deal because he was being overpayed? And you are trying to say that after only a half season at LT and only after one year into the deal the Bills knew they were going to have to renegotiate the deal when they brought in Dockery and Walker? Of course he will get a better deal, the Bills know they can't be without him, and so does Peters and his agent. The original deal was only signed because it provided insurance incase Peters didn't establish into a great LT. But theres no point for a team to try and sign a player before they become a FA anymore and hope to get someone at a discount rate because it won't happen anymore. Players will just threaten to sit out until the team decides to renegotiate if they have a good year -
He might be consistent and the best blocker, but he is in no way irreplaceable if hypothetically, the Bills needed to trade away one of their top 4 WR's. Personally, I wouldn't deal him away (or any of the 4) because he does have value to the team, but out of the 4, he would bring the lowest return and out of the 4 has been given the most chances to move up and has not been able to secure himself a high spot then a #3/#4. Obviously they would be stupid to let any of their WR's go until Hardy proves he is up to the challenge over the course of the year, and even then, Hardy is already pretty much penciled in as the #2, above Reed on the depth chart.
-
Ah, ok, you were basing it mostly on what kind of return you could get for them. Thats understandable then. I was thinking of it more on who is the most expendable to the offence Going by what you could get in return Evans - you could get the most for, but they have no one yet who has shown they can take his spot. Its not like with moulds where he became expendable due to age and having Evans ready to play for the #1 spot Parrish - As a WR you could probably get a decent return cause he is still young with potential to be a playmaker with his speed, but it would be a tough sell to a team unless they feel they can maximise his potential. But factor in his value as a return man on ST's and he does have value out on the market. Hardy - He has yet to play a down, but could get a return because he was a high draft choice this year Reed - He is a decent 3rd/4th WR and is a tough player, but I don't know if he will ever amount to much more then that and would probably bring in very little in return Going by expendability Reed - Letting him go would hurt a little because he is good depth, but he is no way untouchable Parrish - As a WR he has potential, but has yet to show it. With the Bills drafting McKelvin and McGee still here, the Bills can afford to move one of their return guys on ST's Hardy - He has yet to prove anything in the NFL, so he is expendable, but only because he hasn't proved anything in the league yet Evans - with no solid proven depth behind him, and the bills still having question marks at #2 WR until Hardy shows something, they would be creating a huge hole on the Reciving corps by dealing away their #1 WR, and not having someone capable enough to step in and be the #1 guy.

Andy Dick busted for groping an underage girl

Joe Rogan's Character was alright, but just because he played a funny character, I wouldn't go and call them a comic. I see comics as being seperate from Actors who just do comedy's. Some Comedic actors I would consider comedians though when you look at their body of work and it is mostly really good (Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell, etc.) I don't think I have ever seen a stand up act by Joe Rogan that was ever really all that great or funny (besides the Carlos Mencia thing, but that still wasn't funny) and he hasn't done much in the comedic acting way since News Radio Someone Else I would want to throw in for consideration onto the list, Jay Mohr. If I was ever on Last Comic Standing, I always wanted to go into the booth and say "I know I'm funnier then.....Jay Mohr", and then just be like "since the producers keep telling me I can't vote for him, then i guess I will just chose <insert name here>" -

Good ones. i think Ant as maybe a character in a sitcom (I believe he was one on one before, the one with Bobcat whateverhislastnamewas did the voice of Mr. Floppy the stuffed Bunny. "E" from Entourage played the older brother, Reese from Malcom in the Middle was the youngest, and they had the really hot sister Tiffany> I think he played her gay friend on the show, if not the eprson who did is really similar) is better then as a stand up commedian. He always had trouble making anywhere on Last Comic Standing. As for Jim Bruer, He is borderline on the list, but I don't think he makes the cut onto the list. -
I would definitly say that most of the new members are not as good as Carrell and Colbert, but those are 2 high standards being set for someone to live up to. Personally, I don' think its gone downhill though
-
Why? Do they have a gun to your head? J/k - I'm only kidding
-
Because a team can't just place a player on to that list because they feel like it. The player has to announce his retirement and still have time left on his contract, or they have to have a serious injury like Everett's before they can be moved to that list. All it is for is to allow the team to keep the injured/"retired player" on the roster should they ever be able to return (in the retired players case its incase they change their mind before signing their papers) so they won't have that influencing their cap numbers.

You would trade Evans, a proven WR over Hardy, a Rookie who has yet to make a catch in the NFL??????

Lol, I know She got me to go see the movie Wanted, I was up for seeing it, but could have waited til it came out on DVD, but she wanted to see it. The funny thing was, I enjoyed it, she didn't. I had to see a Brad pitt movie with here, but it was OK I wanted to see it too, It was Oceans 13 and she is a huge Oceans series fan. On a side note, Last Saturday I got to see the Batmobile fromt the new movies up close. It was on display with the bat bike at a Radio Station Concert in Toronto (I went for the Co-Headliners, the re-united STP, and left before the other headliner Linkin Park went on). I thought it was just a promotional car that was just made to look like the movie one, but I found out later that it was real, they started it up and drove it out surrounded by cops. Its funny cause I mentioned to my brother that it could be street legal, it had some forward facing lights for headlights, and even windshield wipers I wonder how Batman gets replacement ones? Does he walk into a local Napa and ask for replacements for a 2008 Batmobile?

I'm not a comic book fan, but I enjoy watching the movies. I just never got around to seeing Begins, although everyone tells me its worth watching

How does an 8 foot long snake end up in the washing machine?

he si only retired in name right now, until he signs his retirement papers with the NFL, he is property of the Packers for 2 more years (the rest of his contract that he signed). He is on their Long Term Injured Reserve/Retirement list. Alot of players that hang them up on their own (i.e. not because they are too hurt to play again) will "retire" in name only and hold off on signing their retirement papers with the league in case they change their mind or theres interest from some other team that wants them. Its their way of calling it quits, but keeping their options open

As long as he isn't trying to perform there.............. -
I realise that they were hyping his performance prior to him dying, but I feel that it wouldn't have gone as far as it did with possible Oscar nomination talk if he hadn't died I guess I will have to watch the first one, the girlfriend wants to go see this one soon

I'm not a huge fan of their music, but I will listen to it, I just wouldn't call myself a "Rushian" But I will give them credit for being some of the best musicians at their instruments. Neil Pearts drum kit blows me away everytime I see it. It looks like he needs to be lowered down into it.

theres a couple you could add to that list, like - Joe Rogan (also was in a show with Andy Dick, has he ever been funny? the Carlos Mencia thing was good though) - Pauly Schore (do I really need a reason here?) - Jimmy Fallon (sorry I can't stand him, he is merely a very bad clone of Adam Sandler) -
I am a huge fan of COlbert and the Colbert Report, and that show last night was great, especially how his producer (or was it director) is a huge rush fan and kept interjecting rush stuff into the show

You didn't know about Frank? Ralphs evil twin brother, the one who is cheap, and is trying to get the Bills out of Buffalo? He looks identical to Ralph but has a long curly moustache and wears a cape

It would have had all the hype (Its a superhero movie), but he wouldn't have been considered for an Oscar for his role as the Joker
