  1. The Dolphins haven't really gotten better this offseason (for the upcoming season I mean, they have set themselves up to get better in the future, bringing Parcells into the FO doesn't automatically make them a better team) and the Jets are a big question mark cause it will all depend on weither or not all the FA vets they picked up will work out. If the Bills can't sweep the Dolphins, and take atleast 1 of 2 from the Jets, they have taken a step back and are truly a bad team. Peters is a very good player, but he is not the entire team, and i really don't think the team will take that much of a step back as everyone thinks without him. I think Walker will be able to hold his own at LT, and Chambers should be able to hold his own at RT. They won't be Pro Bowlers, but they won't be bad enough that they are going to cost the Bills games.
  2. I have always been more familiar with the Joker character from the movies, the early comic version may have been a little different, but I don't think he was ever as sadistic as the one Ledger played
  3. Nice, places around here have $0.39 wings on Mondays and Thursdays, and a sketchy place has $0.29 wings. The one regular place we used to go to now uped the price to $0.49 wing, and they are nothing to shout over. Just the usual smaller wings with the Franks Red Hot/Butter sauce
  4. I liked the book and the movie, I was a big Crichton fan when i was younger
  5. the fact that there are books out for it is truly sad. Fantasy Football is just another version of Dungeons and Dragons except made for the kids who used to beat up the dungeons and Dragons kids
  6. I think its a Japanese Robot playing a Guitar with the word Ridiculous below it I have no idea what it is, I just found it mixed in with other pictures in a google search before so I used it.
  7. It all depends on what kind of restoration you are talking about for expense and what kind of condition its already in, plus what needs to be done. You could just get whatever is wrong fixed on it, and maybe a freash coat of paint and be done, or you could have someone do a full frame off resto where they disassemble everything and rebuild, that would be the most expensive, but probably unnecessary unless its in rough shape. Personally, I can't stand having a "showroom piece". I love classics, but I want to drive them all the time. I want something that can be used and I'm not affraid to take out. Its tough to make money off the vehicle doing a full resto having someone else do it, and I am assuming that since its a family vehicle you want to keep it in the family, so you will probably want something you can use and not something to flip and try to turn a profit with. Honestly, i would say have anything needed fixed fixed, and have it look good and drive it. Cars were meant to be driven and enjoyed.
  8. The difference is, I believe Nicholsons Joker was supposed to be more like the comic book Joker and more "comical" with one-liners and all where as Ledgers Joker was supposed to be darker and more sadistic. The newer movies are less like the original comics and more like they are just borrowing characters and settings from teh comics, and making them more modern day, by appealing to what most people want in a movie like this today, dark and creepyness. Think about it this way, how many people here with children would let their kids watch the first 4 Batman movies? How many would take their young kids to see these movies? How many times in the original movies did you see a person get shot and killed in the originals and how many times did you see it in just the dark night? These movies are geared more toward the adult movie goer then the younger crowd like the others were, or say, a series like Spiderman AS for the "plot holes", seriously? you are going to complain about stuff like that in a movie that is about a guy who is a crime fighter who has all these gadgets and "flys" around the city undetected fighting crazy criminals? Why not complain about the fact that Dent, not to long after having half his face burned off, can walk around fine with half his face missing and not die of an infection
  9. I don't think they will ever be active again, Meg just seems like she has a serious problem performing now. I heard she came out during a show in Detroit with Jacks new band and was supposed to play one of their songs during the encore and she played a few beats, got up and walked off. Sad to see cause they were a very good band. I always gave them credit for playing what they do as only a 2 piece band
  10. I don't think its possible to put conditions into a trade like that where it would restrict teams from being able to flip him, and I doubt anyone trading for him would do that considering that team would basically be sending a big FU to the Pack by doing it and straining a relationship between the 2 teams on any future deals. A team that is going to trade for Favre will be bringing him in to play for them. Plus the Packs GM has stated that he may consider dealing to a Division rival if it comes down to it, so why not offer him to a rival but make them give up alot for him? If they want him that bad, it will cost them to get him from a rival, if not, they can deal him somewhere thats planning on keeping him
  11. I was thinking that the Bills should have brought in Gray too as the backup, but I figured that he would want a spot where he would have a chance to win the starting job in camp. Then he went to Indy and now it confuses me even more. He must really want to collect a check for holding a clipboard. If theres 2 places in the league that have to be the bottom rung of NFL QB Backup jobs, its Indy and NE.
  12. probably more then most of us do
  13. Did you lower yourself to have meaningless conversations with Janitors on busses to make them feel more important?
  14. Well, first you have to contact the tribal counsil to set up his "Baptism" Then he will have to pass a test on his Bills Loyalty. They will lay out 4 toys, one a cuddly stuffed dolphin, the second a remote controlled Jet, the third a video camera with shiney championship trophys and candy, and fourth a scarry looking ripped and destroyed buffalo and finally, the holy Grail. He will have to chose which one he wants on his own. If he choses correctly, he will be presented his very own Jersey (with removable name tag since he will be growing up as a Salary Cap fan and we all know that players come and go in this era. He will then be given back to you where you will be given the great responsibility of ensuring that he is tought the proper way about football, and be prepared for his "first communion" when he is older and that will be when he is sent to school and must make a choice of joinging the crowd and picking the "popular local team" or staying loyal to the Bills. If he makes the right choice he can move on to his confirmation, which is the first trip to RWS for a bills regular season game
  15. Nah, it happened in Brazil and not Canada
  16. So if I understand this correctly, If your not in Camp by the 8th (one month before the season starts) the year doesn't count towards a year of service in the NFL when it comes to eligibility for Pension and FA, etc. But if you come back and play before the 10th game of the season, it will count as a year on your contract with your current team.
  17. I know, they throw this money around to sign guys like Schoebel and Butler, and Williams but won't even call Williams and offer him whatever he wants?!?!?!?!?!?!? Obviously the Front Office has all the sheep convinced that he isn't a player the Bills need
  18. Isn't there a rule that if he does not report to camp by the 8th (one month before the start of the season) he loses the year? I heard this on the radio this week but I wasn't sure if it was true or how it worked cause I though the rule about the 10th game was what determined the year
  19. True, in movies like this, they never actually make it know the character is "Dead", so that they can leave it open for a return, like a Soap Opera never truly kills off its characters, except for Days of Our Lives "Dr. Drake Ramoray", they made sure he was dead and everyone knew it
  20. http://msn.foxsports.com/other/wcStory?con...8#story=8399698 No, not that Mike Williams, the Overweight, out of shape, motivational problem former Detroit Lions WR Now just because you know someone will ask, "Do you think he could be converted into a TE?" He came to the Titans weighing 270lbs, and lost 30lbs over the offseason, trying to get his career back on track, but it wasn't enough
  21. thats my point though, he didn't retire and then decide the few months of retirement was enough, and force the team to trade him to a division rival. Thurman was free to go to whomever wanted him, and I don't remember there being a huge bidding war for his services. He still thought he could play and the Bills cut ties with him, I can look past that because he didn't force the Bills to do anything. The Favre situation is looking more like someone called Favre and made him an offer he couldn't refuse, so he is forcing the packers to make a move. If he would have told the Packers he still wanted to play atleast one more year in Feb/March, they would have welcomed him back with open arms. But when you go through the full retirement PC's, and announce you are done for good, but then just before training camp you decide that for some strange reason, you want back after the team has already started the tough task of moving on, things get a little difficult
  22. Isn't this getting past the point of "crusading" already and enough to get this person out of here?
  23. http://msn.foxsports.com/other/wcStory?con...8#story=8395848 He could always end up in Minneosota or Chicago........... Apparently the Packers are saying they may, as a last resort, be willing to trade him to a division rival. Good one Brett, way to kill your legacy and God like status in GB, force them to trade you to a hated division rival.
  24. I saw it Wednesday and walked out finding that it was overhyped. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying ti was horrible, or even bad, it was good, but I didn't find it to be the great film that will forever be a part of movie history like everyone is making it sound like. Ledgers joker was good, he played a great psychopath, but I wouldn't be handing over an Oscar to him for it unless it was a really poor year for supporting actors. I really thought that the Twoface storey line was too quick, I thought they would set it up for him to be the main villan in the next one, and not just kill him off so quickly AS for the other Batman movies, you have to take them for what they were, adaptations of a popular comic book. They weren't supposed to be so dark, they were supposed to be intended for a younger audience that would be reading comic books regularly. They couldn't keep doing those anymore because the public doesn't want that anymore, they want dark movies like this now. It was good, but I think it wasn't worth all the hype
