I have a ? about the preseason game in Toronto
apuszczalowski replied to BillsD#1in2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey, as a Canadian I am really insulted by this post. None of our money is pink, thank you very much! The dollar coin is gold, the $2 coin is silver and gold, the $5 bill is Blue, the $10 Bill is purple, the $20 Bill is Green, the $50 Bill is RED, and our $100 Bill is sort of a light Brown colour, BUT NO PINK MONEY! Now if you will excuse me, I have to fix the leak in my igloo, damn global warming keeps melting my roof quicker then usual. But first I have to take the 11am Polar Bear to the Lake, where I can catch the 12 pm Orca Whale into the north to go get some Timmies to feed my family. -
My challenge to Edwards tonight
apuszczalowski replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From an article I reasd yesterday, It seems Edwards expects to play the first half, but Jauron might not play them much more then what he did last week. -
Miami's bad luck in finding a QB
apuszczalowski replied to JK2000's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think everyone has But its alright that he was left off the list, I don't think he would have noticed. If the guy doesn't read a play book, I really doubt he would be reading an internet message board. And yes, although the Bills have struggled finding a starter, the list of the QB's brought through here has been much smaller over a longer period of time then Miami. -
I actually wondered today while eating my lunch and reading an article from Toronto on the game if the fact that its a Toronto game could play a factor, the FO telling DJ to play the starters more then usual to give the fans more of their moneys worth. According to the article though, Edwards is expecting to play most of the first half of the game.

Top of the Draft Budgeting Trends
apuszczalowski replied to Chilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is an interesting point of view, but it really means absolutly nothing when it comes to winning an losing. Good teams usually don't need the same type of players as bad teams do. It is kind of funny to see that the Bills really don't draft many more DB's then other teams early, like some would make us think The real reason why the Bills continue to miss the playoffs, they are still trying to clean up the 5 year mess that was the Donahoe regime. That was a big mess they were left with, and with the revolving door at coach and QB, its hard to get the consistency you need in order to build a winner. Hopefully this regime has them on the right track now and they have started to build a winner, cause the biggest factor in winning or losing starts at the top of the FO, the GM. If they are not good, the team will suffer, and its not always a quick fix. -
I wouldn't I personally think I look much better in a knee length dress, makes it much easier to walk through a mall shopping........... Oh, you meant would I do her? Well, hell yeah

Exactly, he is definitly in the top 5 no doubt, and no one is saying he shouldn't get a raise, just that he needs to show up to camp and do what others before him did to get the raise. Show he will put the team infront of his own demands and honor his current contract in camp and discuss a new deal with Brandon. He needs to show the Bills the character they are looking for, someone who is committed to winning and playing for the team first, and worry about himself and his bank account second. As for Bell at LT, was the original poster serious? Are we talking about the same guy (Karl Malones son?), the late pick at OG who is not even guaranteed to stick with the team, let alone get a starting job, hasn't played football for that long, and he thinks he could start at LT when he hasn't even played that position in the NFL before after not playing it in college?

Channel 13 in Rochester is reporting.....
apuszczalowski replied to Luvbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They said it was not one of their insiders with the team, and that this person has no connection to the team, it was more of a personal friend of theirs (doesn't 97 rock broadcast from the same building? Oh wait they said friend, never mind) and that there will be movement on the Peters situation, but said it did not mean he was reporting to camp, or anything, and that it could just mean he moved from the couch to the recliner or to the store to get a copy of Madden 2009 -
Shredd and Reagan also had a source, they said this was just from a person they knew, but had no direct tie with the Bills organisation and was not one of their sources from the team, that said movement will be coming soon in this situation. Now they said that doesn't mean he is coming in, and could just be that he is moving to go get a copy of Madden 2009, so take it for what its worth.................

Charlie Batch's career over?

What does it say when it says they took a look at, and made their choice between Leftwich and Culpepper? -
preseason football sucks
apuszczalowski replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do they really need 2 games? I think we have already determined what the roster will be and who are busts after only one here, why bother with the other 3, players are only going to get hurt if they play in them -
CTV, CityTV, or Omni 1 or 2 may have the game, I know Omni has been advertising the game itself with the festivities before hand, but I'm not sure if any of them are actually going to broadcast the game live

According to this part of an article found on MSN Hayes was about to begin work on a new album for Stax, the soul record label he helped build to legendary status. And he had recently finished work on a movie called "Soul Men" in which he played himself, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac, who died on Saturday. I would say that Samual L. Jackson better take it easy for a few weeks and maybe go into hiding, stay away from anything dangerous...... The article - http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx/?n...2>1=28102 It was sad to see his relationship with South Park go so bad at the end, He was my favorite as Chef

Going to WWE Raw tonight in Richmond.....
apuszczalowski replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Its an interesting experience. I usually buy the "cheap seats" cause if they have trouble selling out, they give you a free upgrade to the lower levels to make the place looked more full Its different seeing it live without the commentators and only hearing the noise of the wreslters and the ring. It looks tiny though compared to TV -
Are you kidding, i watched that game and didn't give a crap what the outcome would be, I never usually watch pre-season games too. It helps when you go into it without expectations cause well, its game 1 of the preseason. It just got me fired up to watch a regular season game!

I'm hoping to get some tickets to that game cheap on Ebay Buying a house in the next couple months so funds will be tight and my brother is a Niners fan so I figure this will be the game we go to this year (he usually joins me at the Bills games I go to)

apuszczalowski replied to billsevans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol, don't worry, they will tire themselves out and then someone will post here that they signed Leftwich to backup Big Ben. Apparently the choice was between Leftwich and Culpepper -
I won't form an opinion until after the 4 pre-season games to decide if either QB played better then the other. JP had a good game and looked good, Trent didn't impress as much, but it was only game one of the pre-season. The Bills have 2 different styles of QB's in Losman and Edwards. In Losman they have the gunslinger, who is going to take sacks and throw picks, but he gives you the chance of making the "big play". Trent is more of the conservative, efficient passer who will not give you the option of making the "big play" but will be more conservative and work the ball downfield more efficiently. Both styles can win in the league, with the proper players around them and the right offensive gameplans. I really don't think it matters how well JP plays, you might as well leave Edwards in all season unless he is hurt because JP is as good as gone this offseason and will not be back in Buffalo next year no matter how well he plays. Now as for those saying that JP played against backups/scrunbs, well you also seem to not take into account, he played with them too as he was playing with guys like Duke Preston on his o-line, and no Lynch or Evans

Its definitly going to be interesting to watch, and the Jets will either have to adapt to his style, or he will have to adapt to their style. But as a vet of so many years, I would think he could probably learn a new playbook quicker then a younger inexperienced rookie. I would also assume tat the Jets didn't just go running into this situation without first having a plan on how to deal with this issue and what will be best to get him ready for the season the quickest. It may start out with the season begining with a dumbed down offence with less plays for him and the team to adapt to unitl after a couple of weeks they feel comfortable enough to open up the playbook. In my view, you will either have 2 things happen. 1. The Favre experiment will be a huge flop because he was rushed into the offence too quickly, and its too different then what he is used to or 2. Favre will have another year like last year where he will lead a team into the playoffs and he will be one of the top rated QB's again this year

Maybe the Bills couldn't afford Favre?
apuszczalowski replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You do realise the Bills are no where near the cap right now, and Favre only has 2 years left on his contract? They might be close to their personal cap, but adding him would not put them in Cap problems, and they could still re-sign Evans, Peters and Crowell. The thing is they would have to throw out their personal Cap/budget for the sake of winning now, and merchandise sales. Plus if they don't want him after this year, they have a few choices, he retires for good, he gets traded again, or they release him, they don't need to worry about any long standing emotional attachement to him like the fans in Green bay had to. At this time, the Bills can afford to tie up 12 million for someone like Favre for a year or 2 if they wanted, as long as theyw ere willing to go over their personal cap/budget -
How slow are you Southerners down there? You guys couldn't see them coming over on their huge ships carrying the tanks and prepare to fight back?

The Packers were going through a bit of a re-building phase back in Favres down years and last year had one of (if not the) youngest team in the league last year. They were not overly talented in 05-06 I'm not denying that those guys aren't talented, and the pack are talented, but I wouldn't call them stacked, and I wouldn't say that those guys carried Favre and made him look better.

apuszczalowski replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We all hope But this league is littered with guys who showed potential and never really panned out. What did Edwards do last year that would make you believe he can carry this team as its QB without needing a HoF QB to help tutor him or learn from? He is getting alot of hype in Buffalo mostly because he wasn't Losman. His stats didn't differ much then Losmans, and he didn't lead the Bills to being a better offence, it was because he wasn't the other guy and as a rookie played as well as the other guy. Can anyone honestly say that Trent Edwards had a great year, without having to add on "for a Rookie"? I really hope he does turn out to be a great QB and can lead the Bills, but letting him sit for a year or 2 behind a veteran future HoF is not going to ruin him. Throwing a young QB to the wolves didn't do much for the past couple QB's they have had around here
