  1. it is all the proof I need to believe you, I'm a visual person, lol
  2. You mean, they are the interpretations of the author in those comments and not words that were quoted from Brandon or from the Bills front office????? There have been no direct quotes from the Bills front office that says that they will not re-negotiate with him if he does report to the team. My point is, that saying that they expect him to honor his contract does not mean they won't negotiate. They said Honor the contract, which does not necessarily mean they expect him to play the entire contract out before they discuss a new one. At this point, honoring it would be just showing up to camp and being ready to play on Sunday. At this point, if he did that, he would currently be honoring his contract, something they expect him to do. So at this point the Bills expect him to be with the team playing with them, honoring his contract. He never came out and said directly that they expect him to play out his contract and won't discuss a better deal with him. If the Bills were to actually have said that they will not negotiate with him and expect him to play out his deal, then I think many more would be on Peters side and agree that the Bills are in the wrong, and being hypocritical. Maybe even Racist as one poster had said in the past seeing as how they reworked a deal with Schoebel after he had recently signed a new deal, and now they are saying they won't do the same with Peters. "Never Say Never" makes me lean on the side of "If you come in and open the discussions with us first, we are all ears and willing to work out a new deal. We just can't come out and say it because we have to stick to our guns and not fold"
  3. Sorry, some need phtos for proof, not just your word on this Pictures help, and ists always hard to really tell through a shirt, so......................................... yeah
  4. Oh, ok, good, I was getting scarred there for a moment, but man, if Favre goes down, my guess is the league will shut down for the season and protect QB's in a giant bubble, or make it illegal to touch them
  5. because they also don't want to see this happen with any future players, and want to see the team stay in Buffalo for many years. By caving and just giving him the money he wants, they are opening the door for any player who wants a new deal to force a hold out, and the bills will become desperate enough that they will just give you what you want. What would happen if they gave Peters what he wants after his last season, and say Lynch or Edwards made the Pro Bowl this year so they feel underpaid and threaten a hold out for a new deal?
  6. Sure, he deserves the blame for not "making it happen" at all costs. But what more can he do that won't have possible future reprecussions with his team? The Bills gave peters their demands, show up or we won't even talk. The Ball is in Peters court now With Evans, the bills are negotiating with him, and it takes 2 to agree to a deal, maybe Evans doesn't want to re-sign until he plays out the year, or he wants to test the market for his services before he accepts the Bills offer? Its not always that the Bills aren't willing to give them the money they deserve. The tried negotiating with nate Clements too, but he wanted to test the market first cause he knew his services would be in demand and he would be able to cash in with some desperate team. The thing is, the front office hasn't really done anything yet to deserve any blame yet. Of course the fans will still blame them because they won't just give him the money he wants to get him back, but thats not the way a good buisness works, and the Bills have to run the team as a buisness first to ensure they can stay healthy in the Buffalo market. they can't afford to make a big blunder like caving to Peters and opening up a can of worms for future players to use that as leverage when they want new deals
  7. Uhm, excuse me, we all know that QB is only the 2nd most important position on the team, behind LT of course. Get your facts straight
  8. Between this and his shoulder problems that he has had thats plagued him most of his career and keeps him on the injury list, I am starting to feel a little bad for the guy, lol What would the NFL do if Brady and Manning both had to miss time due to recovering from injuries?? Would they shut the league down til both are better? Maybe have everyone wear their numbers on a black arm band until they came back?
  9. Always chose rock, and put it right between their eyes, then you get to have the game on all the screens, and have some quiet time while you watch the game. As for me 1. Wake Up 2. Put on Bills Jersey 3. drive down to a corner store and spend $20-30 playing proline (Ontario Lotteries sports gambling) 4. Maybe pick up some wings if I am hungry 5. Get home in time to flip between Fox and CBS's pre-game show 6. Watch the game 7. Remove Jersey in disgust after a loss or remove it and put it somewhere out of the way for next week after a win 8.After maybe if I feel like it go outside and do some work that needs to get done, or go back to the corner store grumbling cause one game cost me each Proline ticket i bought and get one that is for the later games 9. Maybe watch some afternoon games If I don't do #8 waiting for the Simpsons to come on (which I usually regret watching these days) to pass the time til King of the hill and Family Guy comes on.
  10. It may be the fact that all his clothes are in it since he is moving But otherwise, yeah, i am never afraid of having one of my vehicles stolen since they are insured and I will just get another one with the insurance money. And since I don't own new cars, I'm not out a whole heck of a lot. Those Camrys are nice cars, My mom and sister share one
  11. But you see, this is a serious problem in the NFL right now, teams are being held ransom by agents and players knowing that they just have to threaten a team with a holdout and the team will tear up the current contract and hand them millions more. Its a problem that teams like buffalo can't afford to let happen to them. Ralph has been a bit of an outsider when it comes to the current owners because he won't throw his money around freely like most will, so his team is standing up and going against the norm on this one and trying to set a precedence in Buffalo that they don't negotiate with holdouts and will not allow agents and players to hold them at ransom. it just sucks that the first example in this has to be a great player like Peters. But what a better example? Showing that the Bills aren't just a group of individuals playing the same game on the same side, that they are a team, and if you don't feel that way and want to hurt the team by sitting out, you can keep doing that, they will move on as a team even if it hurts them. This can all be resolved/made clearer with Peters showing up and reporting ending his hold out. If he had reproted and the Bills then refused to re-negotiate/talk a better contract with him, then he can walk and the blame is on the team in this one and they look bad since he met their demands of reporting, and they also look like hypocrites for re-negotiating Schoebels deal when he was in camp, and not Peters. But right now, what more can the Bills do but cave in to his demands and set a bad precedince for the rest of the team, or stand their ground? Everyday that Peters sits and does not make contact either on his own or through his agent to the Bills is going to hurt him in his wallet, and Walker has looked adequate/good enough at LT that its not going to seriously hurt them if Walker stays there.
  12. The problem is, that quote can be interpreted a few different ways. Of course the Bills would love it if he showed up and played out the rest of his contract, I'm also sure that they would like him and many other players to come in and play for free. Maybe the Bills won't re-negotiate with him at all this season and want him to play for what his contract states, thats a possible interpretation of "Honoring his Contract". They could also be saying that as to not give away any leverage like they would lose if they just came out and said "Come to camp and you will get a new deal". Another possible interpretation could be that by saying they expect him to "honor his contract" they want him to show up to camp, cause since he has not, he is not honoring his contract since showing up is mandatory and a part of his contract. But no where has brandon or the Buffalo Bills actually come out and said that they will not negotiate with him this year at all, they have only said that if he does not report, they will not renegotiate.
  13. One thing I disagree about and so far looks like he biggest addition (basically addition by subtraction) is the last line, they also changed OC, and so far Turks offence looks like it may be enough to turn the offence into atleast a respectable one
  14. Those shows at the Avalon ballroom in Niagara Falls at the Casino were also the fastest to sell out ever at that venue, I didn't even know she was going to be there until I heard that on the radio, so it surprised be a bit. but I guess when you don't listen to stations that would play her stuff, you don't hear about her concert dates
  15. After thursdays game, someone asked Jauron about it and he said that they like the way he runs, but its definitly something he needs to work on, and that there have been a bunch of good RB's in this league that have gotten over having the rep of being fumble prone. It just takes a little bit of patience
  16. Didn't Milloy have a full training camp and Pre-season with the pats before being cut during the final cuts? The issue wouldn't be Peters learning a new playbook in that time, he is a linemen and it shouldn't take him long compared to a QB, RB, or WR to learn it, its his conditioning. The guy has not practiced or workout with his teammates since January, he needs to get into game shape/condition first before he can play and have a big impact, so they would probably be looking at a few weeks of practice first before he takes his position back. Also, I don't believe it says DJ would sit him because he held out, i think he would sit him because he doesn't want to risk an injury to him and have a player who is not in game shape on the field
  17. 2 of my friends play in adult leagues here, I have never been a fan of it i love how MLB is complaining about the lack of black pro ball players, and calling it a problem, when its the same as white basketball players, and similar to white Football players. If you really want to see a lack of black athletes in a sport, look no further then the NFL. I also don't think i can remember seeing a black volleyball player at the olympics (unless Brazilians are classified as "black")
  18. Yup, now that they don't bake fresh anymore and are basically just heating up frozen dough now its not the same and the quality has gone down. As for Tim Hortons, if you really want to see how bad it is here in Canada, come down to Welland Ontario (outside of St. Catahrines/Niagara Falls). I think we have the most Timmies per person. We have 2 about 1 minute from each other down Niagara street (it used to be 3 if you counted the one that was inside a Zellers department store)
  19. I always found that kind of funny considering he was Jefferson D'Arcy longer then Mr. Rhodes was on the show
  20. I like all of their stuff, even St. Anger stuff. It wasn't their best, but it was different But I like this song, the way it starts out kind of soft and then builds up to a really good solo at the end
  21. They also haven't lost a regular season game yet either
  22. My point with walker was that the Bills are willing to stand their ground against players holding out demanding more until they report to camp, no matter how bad the fans, and maybe even the team really want the player there to improve the team.
  23. To Debate your points #1 I'm sure alot of other teams would pay him more, and no where have the Bills said they wouldn't discuss paying him more, but its a moot point because he can't just up and go sign with those teams, or even have contact with them since Buffalo is the only place he can play for another 3 years unless they agree to trade him away. So his choices are continue holding out and losing money, and still owe the Bills 3 years of service, or come back and play, and call Buffalos bluff about only negotiating if he reports, or he could demand a trade, but the Bills don't have to do anything and can turn down that request and let him continue sitting out. #2 Theres no denying that he is a good player and that there are currently very few like him in the league right now, and none of them would come to Buffalo to play for what he is signed for, but that still means nothing with 3 years remaining on his deal. Those points would be more relevent if this was his final season and he could be a FA at the end of the year, and the Bills wanted to lock him up before he could test FA. But he is a long way away from FA under his current deal, so those points can really only be used when debating what the numbers of his contract should be, or as excuses for why he is holding out. And yes, Peters doesn't have to show up, unless he wants to be paid. The Bills hold his contract, and that contract is the only way Peters will be able to have employement in the NFL for the next 3 years. So sure, he can sit and wait, but every day he does it chips into his saving without any new income coming in. If he wants to play, he has to show up, the Bills might not hold all the cards, but the hold about 95% of the cards right now. We all I guess have forgotten that the Bills, even under Levy do not like to bend for their players in negotiations if the players refuse to bend for the team. Remember Last year with Walker after he was brought in from Philly for TKO? He refuse to show up until the Bills re-worked his deal, and they said they wanted him to show up and report to training camp first to take a look at him. He refused to report until he was given a new deal. Everyone here was screaming for them to give him what he wants because they Bills needed help at DT, and even though they did need better DT's, they still wouldn't crack and give into him.
  24. "If my dad knew what I had done, he'd crucify me!" - Jesus, Hamlet 2 Sorry, the movie itself looks pretty bad, i just loved that line from the commercial, and am a little pissed off cause I had wanted to write a play like that
  25. Yeah, thats what I was refering to. I think I would be a spectator for that event, thats the closest I would get to it
