  1. maybe if Trent made other teams pay for putting 10 guys in the box, they would then have to worry about keeping guys back to defend the pass. You see, it works both ways, having a passing attack that keeps your opponent from loading up on the run can help improve the running game. Maybe its time to stop blaming others for this teams mistakes. Trent is not playing well recently. Everyone blasted JP supporters for giving excuses, and now those same excuses are coming out to defend Edwards poor play recently. I know this is going to start a huge flame war, but maybe trent isn't as good he was made out to be last season, and teams now have an idea on the kind of player he is? There have been many players who started outtheir careers on a hot streak and then came back down to earth to become only decent, not spectacular players. Maybe he is one of them?
  2. yeah, thats true, but its pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things, since one of them is going to lose no matter what
  3. They need the companys to buy what they have now before they can even consider building more luxury boxes. The Casino is only about 30 minutes away now and they have no investment interest in the team, why would it matter if they built the stadium closer? They would only have an interest in the stadium if they could put machines in it and get revenue from it, and the league won't allow that to happen.
  4. When have I said that they don't have flaws? there are alot of major issues with the team, but I don't think its complete Doom and Gloom, blow up the team and start over again type issues
  5. they have a chance to move up and tie one of them this week, so does Miami, and they would lose the tiebreaker to either of them because of the 0-3 division record and losing head to head, sothey are still in 3rd at best in the AFC East. i don't see what advantage getting to watch any of the games gives buffalo
  6. Thats assuming that Jimbo is not just all talk at the moment. He is not wealthy enough to own a percentage stake in a billion dollar investment (he didn't make huge money over his career, and alot of his money has gone into Hunters hope) The local government could get into it too, but they have enough trouble trying to keep buffalo alive at the moment, and won't give those kind of tax breaks to big buisnesses to bring jobs to Buffalo, why will they do it to help out a billionaire get a new toy? I am a northern fan technically, and theres not much of an issue from getting from Downtown to RWS, it would save me maybe 20 minutes. The stadium at the moment is not even an issue, the first thing they need are the company's to want to pay the money to buy the existing luxury boxes in the stadium, at competitive rates to the rest of the NFL stadiums, then they can worry about providing a better stadium.
  7. I don't see any problem with the call. They are 1-7 with nothing to lose, they were going for the win knowing that SD is most likely the better team, and they need to capitalize on the position. NFL coaches are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Everyone complains about DJ not having balls, yet they would crucify him for something like this cause its not a safe move. You don't show balls by doing the safe things, you show you have balls by going for the win in that situation. the play they chose might have been the wrong one, but going for the win at that point in a game, especially as a 1-7 team was not a dumb move.
  8. Did he play? I don't think I saw him out there? I always wonder how they could pay a guy $9 million, and only throw it to him 4-5 times a game. TO gets 20 passes and still complains he's not getting it enough!
  9. Good point, NE was missing Brady, Playing a practice squad RB that had a career game against Buffalo, and had jason Webster, whom they just signed this week, and they still won. Buffalo was hurting missing a few players, but thats not an excuse.
  10. The only team inthat last that is definitly worse then Buffalo at this points the 49ers. The Browns have started to turn their game around and may be returning a bit more to the team from last year, they played pretty good against Denver this week. KC just about knocked off the Chargers this week and have been playing better football. All 3 should be teams Buffalo should roll over if they want to be considered a playoff team, but the chances of them going 3-0 against them, are as good as them going 0-3 against them with the way the offence is playing the last few weeks. I see 2-3 at best, 1-3 at worst. I don't see Miami losing more then 1 of their upcoming games NE could go 3-0 over that span, Pittsburgh hasn't been playing very dominant lately The Jets are most likely the ones to struggle over that span and i could see 2-3 at best, but 1-3 at worst for them (maybe beating Denver) The AFC is going to be VERY tight and going down to the wire. The Bills had their chance to run away with the division and blew it, and now made it a huge uphill battle just to make the playoffs now. During the pre-game radio show they said that this game could be a make or break game for them for the playoffs.
  11. How is any change in ownership a godsend? how many serious investors are there just hanging around to drop almost a billion dollars to buy the Bills and keep the team in Buffalo? Say what you want about Ralph, but he is the strongest thread that is keeping the team right where it as, and after him, theres no guarantee what will happen to the team
  12. ???????????????? Heart doesn't come from having a good line, or even winning. The defence was not the problem today, and hasn't been the big issue in about the majority of the games. the problem is that the offence doesn't put up points. They are relying on their D to stop everyone and win FG games. They held the Pats to 20 points today and struggled to put up 10 themselves. Ngata wouldn't have made a difference if the offence isn't scoring. If you want your team to win the offence has to put up more points then the defence allows, and its hard to complain about a defence when they hold a good team to 20 and the offence can't keep them close.
  13. I wouldn't call him out for this game, he was questionable during the week as to weither he was actually going to play, so I will give him a pass
  14. you are right, unlike Hardy who is a long standing veteran, and Ellis, a journeyman defensive linemen
  15. Different RB's have different specialties and different styles. Jackson seems to be better at going through holes and ripping off longer runs with his speeds. Lynch is better at working for tough yards and getting through tackles I wouldn't say either is better then the other because they aren't the same
  16. Couldn't you say that about all positions? Oline? You just stand there and block guys from coming through WR? You just run and try to get open to catch the ball RB? You just take the ball and run with it QB? You just take the ball and hand it off or throw it Punter? You just kick the ball as far as you can Theres more to any position then most of us think to play in the NFL and be good. Talent is one thing, and McKelvin has proved in college he has the ability/talent to do it, theres an adjustment to going from college to the NFL, sometimes it takes a while to adjust to the tougher game no matter what position you are playing
  17. Yup, he was hit withan unsportsmanlike i believe, and he came out afterwards and said that he did it on purpose cause he did not like others disrespecting his team and team mates like the Raiders player did by showboating into the endzone
  18. Sounds like a rich getting richer deal, but if you have watched any Cowgirls games this year (and I have cause a friend of mine is a big fan of them) WR is not even close to being a problem for them. TO was already complaining about not getting enough tosses in a game where he had been thrown to about 50% of the teams passes. Adding another WR isn't going to do them any favours when it starts taking away attention from TO or takes away his title as #1 WR.
  19. That was me, and it didn't really have anything to do with Losman or Edwards, it had to do with the love for the backup QB over whomever was in there at that point. You can go back a long time and always find a large group clamoring for them to put someone else in cause the backup is always better since Kelly was about to retire. Flutie over Johnson, Losman over Bledsoe, Edwards over Losman, so I started the Hamdan bandwagon to get a head start. People were already saying Edwards should start over Losman last season cause of "Poise" and what he showed in the pre-season. He had the same amount of experience as Hamdan in the regular season, so I figuredit was a matter of time.............. Although i wouldnt discredit Hamdan as being just a scrub 3rd stringer who is not capable of being a #2 in this league, or being a very good QB. He was a very good QB in NFL Europe and I believe he was one of the better players there. The bills obviously see something in him to keep him around and give him a roster spot keeping 3 QB's
  20. Really? Cause I think with a defence giving up 41 points that it doesn' matter if they had the greatest o-line in the history of the NFL, they still probably won't win when teh defence is stopping no one
  21. It will effect the Bills season depending on how long Edwards is out though And it is not the most talked about thread, maybe you missed the 20 page gem about how JP cost the Bills the game on Sunday?
  22. She's not bad, and she must have just been added. I think its funny that they are professionally done photos
  23. But why would Detroit give up a good DT and DE for an underachieving DT?
  24. I highly doubt that the 49ers give up on him after less then 3 years, so he won't come cheap If SF was stupid enough to get rid of him for cheap, I would say it is definitly a move you make. A change of scenery/offence maybe just what the guy needs. We already have a blocking TE so that should solve on of his issues. He has the ability and skills to be good, he's just the kind of player that may need the change to a new team and the right offence to get him to reach his potential But theres no way that SF gives him up for anything cheap
  25. Why? He's locked up for another 2 more years after this season in Buffalo. He is locked up And besides, after his play so far this season, I doubt he is interested in talking a deal with the Bills right now, he would probably get laughed out of Brandons office right now if he came with his demands from the summer to him now.
