  1. The problem is, the Bills offence can't capitalize on those opportunities. It didn't matter what kind of opportunity the defence gave the offence this year, did anyone ever feel confident that the Bills would take the ball and put it in for 7 instead of just 3? The difference for baltimore is that their offence is good enough to be a threat to score more then what their defence allows. In that case, the bills would need to build this offseason the greatest defence that has ever played the game and is able to keep teams to under 7 points a game to give the Bills offence enough to win a game
  2. So they improve the Sack total then, but what does that do? They don't get points for Sacks in the NFL, andthe biggest weakness on this team is that the offence struggled to score in more then half their games. They were never a threat to score when they would get the ball. Unless the defence is going to do all their scoring, theres noway that improving the offence is not the #1 and #2 concern this season. With an improved offence, the defence will look better. It would be great to improve the defence, but that is going to do nothing at this time to make the Bills a playoff team next year. The Bills D was not a"dominating" defence this year, but they were good enough to make this team a playoff team, if only the offence was better then Sub Par
  3. If he comes back and has 6 sacks, thats fine if the defence plays at atleast the same level as this year and the offence learns how to score more then FG's and is a threat for more then 15-20 points a game
  4. Would he have time to do that after he cured Cancer and Aids, single handedly revives the economy in WNY and makes it a thriving metropolis, Eliminates the chance that the Bills ever move by bringing in a bunch of billionaire investors to buy the team, walk on water, and then part the Red Sea? I love how people make this guy out to be a God. Why does anyone believe he would make any of those moves? For years Indy's problem has been their sub par defence, they were so bad that they even made a deal to Buffalo to "upgrade" their DT position and picking up McCargo. Indy's success is based on one person, Peyton Manning. Take away Manning and polian has alot of work to do to keep up his godly image in Buffalo If he hasn't improved his defence in Indy over the years, why would anyone think he could improve the Bills in just one offseason?
  5. they recently aired all the episodes for a while on a Canadian Channel that keeps going from MTV Canada, to some independent channel like MTV, and now back to MTV2 Canada
  6. Anyone who thinks that the Raiders are less of a mess then Buffalo has their judgement clouded. To Billsfans, the grass is always greener on the other side. The Raiders are a mess, from top to bottom. They have a couple of young players, but the team has no structure at all, partially because they can never stick to a plan and al Davis goes meddling. If bills fans want to see a real meddling owner, look to Al Davis. Consistently firing coaches, and causing internal rifts. Seriously overpaying for mediocre talent at best. Raiders fans wish they could have Ralph Wilsons Meddling and the Bills 7-9 records.
  7. Mularky is a top candidate for the Detroit job too. Just go o the main board, you will find peoplethat will now argue that maybe Killdrive and MM were mistakes to let go
  8. Big bang theory? Seriously? That show is horrible. I getit, theyare nerdsand a hot girl lives accross the hall, and they don't know how to interact with woman cause they are nerds. The best parts of 30 Rock are with tracey morgan or tracey Morgan and kenneth. The rest of it is unimpresive. The funniest thing Alec Baldwin has ever done was that interview recently where he talks about the thing that happened with his ex wife and daughter. He is horrible and have never even been able to crack a smile at something he did that supposed to be funny. he is just about at Dane Cook level, which is a step below Jimmy Fallon. Sorry, had to rant, I just can't stand those shows. After seeing those 2, I'm almost waiting for someone to throw in that other NBC thursday night show Cath and Kim. All the rest I would agree with, maybe throw in 2 and a Half Men, definitly Flight of the Concords Another showthat is unfunny, the last 5-8 years of The Simpsons. Fox needs to let that show die already, it used to be it would ose a couple more decent episodes a year, but still havesome good ones, now its just bad.
  9. Does he do the lapdance for a "proffesional lap dance purchaser"? or is it another celebrity? I wouldthink he might be considered one fo the Pro's if he is allowed to do a lap dance for his partner Favre
  10. Four projects completed? Wow, move over New york, you are going to have competition now! Like someone said earlier, until Buffalo gets some big buisness taking up roots in Buffalo and bringing in some good paying jobs, this waterfront project is just putting lipstick on a pig
  11. Greg the Bunny, Aired on Fox for only a season. Seth Green, Eugene Levy, Sarah Silverman, and a bunch of puppets. I have it on DVD and seen all the episodes a few times. I was also a fan of (although it aired a few seasons and then quickly canceled) Titus, with Christopher Titus, based losely off of his life and childhood.
  12. What about the White Sox Jersey's?
  13. I hope he isn't leaning too hard, he might hurt his shoulder even more
  14. He may not come back at the same level, but he may also come back and play better then he has before. Who knows.
  15. Are things really this bad that fans are now saying that mike Mularky wasn't a bad coach in Buffalo and it may have been a mistake letting him go????? We have now reached SUB Rock Bottom here people
  16. Sorry, but DE is a luxury at this point. the bills get an upgrade next season when Schobel is back. The offence needs work this offseason, otherwise the Bills could throw a brick wall out there for a defence and still lose cause this offence cannot score points. Improving the defence at this point will do nothing but make the pats game a slightly less of a blowout. The current defence might not be one ofthe NFLs best, but it was good enough to give the Bills a chance to win games. The offence is what is holding this team back. A new OC, a new TE, some back up o-linemen, thats more of a need if playoffs are a must next year. FG's won't win games, they need to be a threat to score whenever they have the ball, and that will allow the defence to play a little more aggressive
  17. I think that if Tebow had a choice, the best team he could go to would be to stay in Florida and play for the Dolphins. He might be a perfect fit at QB for the "Wildcat" offence. face it, he's not known because he is a great pocket passer, his skills would fit in perfectly running the "Wildcat" offence. Vince Young could be another choice for Miami if the want someone to backup/replace Pennington for the Wildcat
  18. They won't be ignoring it, they will be getting back hopefully a 100% Schobel next season, and like I said, with an offence thats a threat to score more then just FG's, the defence can play more aggressive and not have to worry about giving up some points cause the offence can't get those points back. I think the biggest reason why the defence didn't look better was because they were too affraid to get beat and give up points that they knew the offence couldn't get back. If the offence is a threat to score points, the defence won't have to continually try and pitch shutouts to keep the team in a game.
  19. I was going to say that the difference was that those teams had offences that are threats to score more then FG's in a game
  20. I don't think DE is the biggest priority, Center and TE over both DE and LB. If the offence ever becomes somewhat of a consistent threat to score, you will see the defence improve as they will be able to be more aggressive and take some chances because they won't have to worry about playing perfect cause they know the offence can't get those points back
  21. i have been saying that almost all season. The Bills defence is good enough to be a playoff team, but they can't win the games on their own. Looking at the games this weekend, SD beat Indy because they had a good game defensively, but most importantly, the Colts defence couldn't stop Sproules, he ran all over Indy all night and couldn't be stopped. Baltimore has an incredible defence, but their offence is a good one too. Flacco has been a great QB for them, and they have a great running game where McGahee is considered a backup. the only thing I do disagree on is that the Bills #1 priority is DE. There #1 priority is improving the offence. The Bills defence is good enough to hold teams to a low enough score for a decent offence to score enough points to win a game. Improving the defence is more of a luxury at this point with an offence that struggles to score 20 points a game.
  22. Mitchell left the Super Bowl Champs to come play in Buffalo. Miami's success this year, mostly because of a gimmick offence could be a fluke and they become a very average team next year.
  23. Everyone says they would, but I highly doubt it. wasn't it last year people were crying cause of an increase in the parking cost at the stadium? The were still the cheapest price for parking in the league. You have to also take into account that the price for things behind the scenes go up too because of inflation. The cost to put on a football game goes up, along with the cost of payers salaries. Would fans in buffalo be able to support, on a continuous basis, a large jump in ticket prices to a competitive level ofthe rest of the league for an on going basis? Would they only support them at these costs during a down year too? Thats the problem, it has to be on a continuous basis, they have to be willing to spend that money in down years too, and no matter what the economy is like. As for stuff like the TO deal, and the naming rights. They didn't just hand over $78 million in a single cheque, its most likely a payment made over the length of the deal, and it only works out to just under $10 mil I believe. Thats enough to cover a decent players signing bonus, and would not include the players salary. The naming rights would be from anywhere around $3-5 mil a year I believe too, figuring since Buffalo is not the biggest draw, it would probably be closer to the $3 mil area. Thats not much. Its something, like maybe 1 players salary, but its not going to turn the team around. They need bigger things then that to turn the financial woes around.
  24. The rule is, that unless the Bills were to demote April, or fire him, no team can talk to him for a position that is a lesser position then what he currently holds, I think its one of the major reasons why the Bills offered him the Assistant Head Coaching position, so the only real way someone could get permission to talk to him is if they offer him the HC job somewhere. The league rules also state that a team cannot deny one of their coaches the opportunity of talking to another team about taking over a higher position on another team
  25. But if you really look at the start, the collapse was not all that a surprise. They had an easy start to the Schedule, and even as a mediocre team, they still should have been atleast 5-1, maybe 4-2. They plaid no divisional games for almost the entire first half of the season, and the teams they started against in those 7 games were pretty brutal teams. Seattle was a bad team, along with the Jags, although at the time they were looked at as good because of their play last year. Oakland and St Louis are bad teams that are trying to rebuild. The Cardinals are a good team at home, and are a playoff team, and San Diego are an up and down team that didn't put it together until atleast mid season and were lucky their division was bad and that they could become a playoff team. That was a cake walk of a schedule to start the season looking back. Throw in 2 divisional games in there and the bills are 3-3 to start the year and theres no "collapse" and the season doesn't look as depressing. It was deceiving because of the schedule the Bills had to open the year, they were never a really good 5-1 team, the schedule made them look better then they actually are
