Are they minor? After last years incident and the courts taking it easy on him for a "first offence", they might not take it easy on him" this time and he could end up in some trouble. A one game Suspension? This will be the second offseason in a row in only his second offseason with the team that he has been in trouble with the law, he's most likely looking at 4 games. The NFL is not going to take any gun charges lightly anymore after the Plexico Incident.

Bills to make one last push for Greer
apuszczalowski replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And the bills play in a division where they see Tom Brady and Randy Moss twice, and guys like Ginn Jr. -
And since Bill Polian walks on water in the Football World, obviously this was an amazing steal and a great deal for the Colts Polian does no wrong
-
Because it only solves the TE problem for 1-2 years at best

I don't get why players sign for more then one year at a time when anytime they improve their play a little bit they want a raise, oh yeah, its cause when they play worse they will still get that higher money and not take a paycut.
-
And it would have set the precidence that if you aren't happy with a contract you just signed, threaten to hold out and you will be given whatever you want

Who says DE is a "huge need"???? It seems only the fans and the "talking heads" think Buffalo needs a huge upgrade at DE because they looked at the stats and saw the Bills sack count drop without Schoebel. The defence improved alot last year, and it may not have become great, it was good enough for to be a playoff team. The biggest needs of this team is to improve the dreadful offence, thats what held them back and cost them games. Improve the offence and the defence will get better because they won't be pressured to not make a mistake and cost the team the game because the offence struggles to get the lead back

Or, the pats know that there is some value to Cassel having such a great year for them and know that some team will give them something that they franchised him with no intentions of keeping him and will trade him to whomever gives them the best deal, rather then get nothing for him. But chances are you are right, in a deal with a divisional team, they won't make the deal if they think he will come back and beat them

Bills changing their logo??
apuszczalowski replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fred Taylor? Uh-Oh, Lynch must be in some serious trouble with the league then, or they forgot about Jackson What about this?? Baltimore Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome "hinted" during an interview at the Combine that the Ravens are prepared to part ways with free agent kicker Matt Stover and safety Jim Leonhard. I thought the Bills front office made a huge mistake for letting this amazing player leave to become a star somewhere else????? -

If Mack Is Going To Be Such A Dominating Center
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is the biggest. It won't matter how many sacks the defence gets, or if they become the #1 overall defence, they won't be any better then they were this year if they don't improve the offence. This years defence, even though there are plenty of areas for improvement, wasn't the reason for the Bills mediocre season, they were good enough to get the Bills into the playoffs. The horrible offence was the reason why they didn't make the playoffs. Trent and the offence struggled heavily against 3-4 teams with big nose tackles, something an improvement at centre should help greatly. Fowler and Preston are backups at best, the Bills need a serious upgrade here or else it won't matter wehere the defence is ranked unless they also score all the points too -
I'd get one of the top TE's in the draft, or Scaife over TG just because the Bills would be back to square one in a couple years when TG retires, and they wouldn't be getting TG in his prime

Yeah, but Reuben was liked by the fans in Buffalo, If you were JP, would you think twice about keeping your home in Buffalo?

Was that not a Bob Dylan song? Or am I thinking of something different? Or did he cover it, the one that was used in Reservoir Dogs? -
Still a QB situation in Buffalo?

Have the bills had the same coaching staff since Kelly retired? -

Did he? looking at his stats, I would say he regressed this year. He didn't look any better then he did in his first year in Buffalo -
Mr. Wilson at it again I betcha
apuszczalowski replied to Kenwick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're talking basically about inflation and value here. Its not like he has that $750M just sitting in his bank account waiting to be spent, he won't see any of that until the team is no longer his. $25,000 back then was worth alot more then it is right now. Plus, he has had to spend money in that time to run this team too. Its not like he put $25,000 into an account back then and sat around for 40-50 years letting the money collect interest and grow, not having to spend a dime in the process to keep that investment growing. Does anyone know exactly what it costs to run an NFL Football team on a yearly basis? Or do most just think that the only costs are what is spent on the players and coaches salary? -

then when you add in that some players will take less to play with certain players, or certain teams (like Moss wanting to play in NE for less then what he is actually worth on an open market) it makes things even harder for some teams even though the cap is supposed to help small teams cause some players have values based on what teams want them. -
What most are also missing is that you need to have actual money to back up those deals to pay those guys. It isn't like a video game where you are just given a number to spend to. And just because the leagues cap is set at a number, that doesn't mean that the teams have that much actually money to spend on players and can go and spend freely every dime without worry. Thats the way you get into financial trouble, spending money you don't have as if you actually have it

History is the best indicator
apuszczalowski replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At that time, they weren't looking for Pro Bowlers at alot of those positions and were only looking for stop gaps so they atleast had some players to play those positions until they could bring in guys that better fit their plans. Maybe 2-3 of those guys (tripplett, Fowler and Royal) were actually looked at as possible answers to their positions. The others were filler pieces who they hoped might surprise and do well at a cheap cost. The Bills will have to live by the draft and reclaimation projects because they don't have the market to support big spending in FA. It doesn't matter how loaded theowner is, if the money is not coming back to them to support the spending, they won't be spending it. -
Its now officially a clean slate......

I thought the Bills automatically get put to last because DJ is the coach, Ralph is the Owner and they haven't been to the playoffs in a decade? -
Anyone else think Katy Perry is the new Pat Benetar?

Why is it that I keep picturing Jimbo's group being led by that guy that came to Buffalo to build the sky scrapper and redo the Statler building. What ever happened to him? Seems like around the time that the whole Jimbo investor group talk died down was around the time he ran out of town selling the Statler building -

But what if no group that can guarantee that the team will stay in Buffalo steps forward? orthe only group who comes forward can't offer anything anywhere closeto what other groups can? Just cause Goodell is from WNY and has said he will try and keep the bills in buffalowhen he comes to Buffalo, it doesn't mean its a guarantee, he has a whole group of other NFL owners who may not agree and might be looking at the bigger (financial) picture of another team located in a better market. The NFL is a buisness first, and the key toany buisness is what makes sence financially first
