  1. if McKelvin is returning punts, who returns kickoffs? It looks like last year they were moving him into that spot to takethe laod off of McGee returning kicks, and anyone else returning kicks will be a big drop off. i just don't see why you keep a roster spot open for Jenkins to make only a couple of catches a year instead of keeping Roscoe to return punts
  2. But none of them are as good as Parrish at returning kicks, and he isn't useless, they just don't get him the ball. I think Leodis is going to be the return guy for the kick offs and parrish will continue to return punts. Like I said, if they get a great return from him, then sure, deal him away, but don't tradehim away just to keep a guy like Jenkins to sit on the bench, its easier to find a new gunner on ST's then a punt returner like Parrish.
  3. I thought people were saying that Coles does go over the middle for receptions, even though he isn't a tall receiver? His height doesn't mean a thing if he can play, and if he is good enough that it forces other teams defenses to respect him and make someone stay on him and take pressure off Evans, the only problem will be that the bills need to make sure Trent is the guy that can get the ball to either of them. As for him going and almost definitlysigning in Miami, has Miami even shown interest in him???? All I have seen is that they MAY show interest, and its mostly just reporters saying that because they link him to playing with pennington, even though miami has not made any formal attempt to bring him in to talk.
  4. Warner is not going to Minny, they found a QB that they wanted in Sage, they tried getting him last year. I'm surprised no one suggested he goes to the Jets???? They are screwed at the Qb position and their moves this offseason aren'tof a teamthat is looking to rebuild and get younger, they want to win now so why not go get another QB with SB experience
  5. I think Jenkins or Johnson are gone (maye johnson to the Practice squad if hes eligible before they trade away Rscoe. They only way you trade him is if you get a great return for him. He is one of the best Punt returners in the league and losing him will really hurt the Bills Special teams
  6. They still need a backup to play OC, remember, they lost both Fowler and Preston so they had no Centres prior to this signing. I think it would be a good idea to draft a guy that can sit and play behind the new guy until he can beat him out.
  7. thats what I was thinking, o-line guys don't need to use much leg speed for running like a RB or WR would, and those are usually the guys who come back and never get back to what they were before cause the injury affects their speed. Wasn't there just a linemen who came back (I think for SF) who was a comeback player of the year nominee after coming back from a torn achillies injury???
  8. Because maybe they aren't considering bringing in TJ?
  9. Talked yesterday is that it would free up closer to $20
  10. thats what was rumored yesterday. The #3 and some other picks for Cassell and Vrabel
  11. Except that didn't he sign the deal with the Rams since the Ravens didn't want to give him a competitive offer to the Rams?
  12. Maybe he isn't considering Buffalo because they aren't considering him?
  13. First, since the bills have not traded, or released (or made any indications thats what there intentions are) Lynch, he would be fighting for carries with 2 other guys the Bills are high on. You think that Fred Taylor is going to be content sittingbehind those 2 guys and MAYBE being bumped up for a couple games IF Lynch does get a suspension, when he can go to NE, a team that is always a contender for the SB with Brady and BB where he will have a chance to be one of the top guys. And yes, I believe that Taylor still wants a shot at being a #1 back, but Ithink he is willing to share the role with someone, and NE gives him a better chance at that then buffalo, where his biggest role will be to mentor the 2 guys ahead of him and be an insurance policy incase Lynch is suspended. Have the Dolphins set up a meeting with Coles yet? All I have heard is that Chad would like him but won't pressure the FO forhim. Of course it would have been better that if the Bills were really high on him, that they keep him there until he signs on the dotted line, but maybe he still wants to see his options before making a decision? Why not overspend? Because there are more moves that needto be made, and overspending is what gets you into messes like the Dockery situation
  14. No, I'm not saying you build your team off of FA, But I'm not sold and don't have a huge hard on that a 7th round pick is going to step in and become a #2 WR that can take heat off of Evans after only 1 start and 10 catches for 100 yards in his first year
  15. Who says they can't do both? And are you willing to go through another season having the current receiving core that can't get open, and a playmaking WR who does nothing because he can't get open due to opponents double and triple teaming him? THE OFFENCE WAS WHAT KEPT THE BILLS FROM THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR. The current offence can't find the end zone, and they will continue to miss the playoffs until something is done, or until they can figure out howto get the defence to score more points, or Special Teams scoring on every kick
  16. So they should just throw enough money and overspend on those guys just so that they sign here? Do you want a 3rd string RB who may get less then 10 carries a game making more then the 2 guys in front of him? Maybe the Bills made a better financial offer then NE to taylor but he just felt that at his age, and the Pats RB situation was a better situation for him to be in because he has a chance at being the #1 guy there. Players have to be willing to sign the contract, and not every guy is going to want tosign a deal immediatly, some want to test the market and see what other options are out there. Just because Coles left without signing, it doesn't mean that he isn't seriously considering somewhere where he willbe a #2 or #1b WR in an offence. And who says Miami is a serious contender in signing him? Just becuase Pennington played with him in NY?
  17. And they could have, but they, along with any other team looking for an interior offensive linemen, including his old team, didn't feel that he was worth anything near what the Rams were going to pay
  18. Who wouldn't be sold on making a second year 7th round pick the #2 WR on the team after only 1 game started in his career and 10 receptions for 102 yards. Therest of the league must be shaking right now trying to game plan for the Bills #2 WR. No wonder the Jets traded for Lito
  19. Damn, with Hardy and Lynch on the team, they really could have made a huge impact on FA if the NFL would only look more highly on that
  20. Only one memebr of those 3 members of the offensive line was released, the other 3 became FA'scause their contract ran out. Should the Bills have signed them to a deal just to cut them later? Coles apparently has serious interest in coming here (and why not? he would become the #2 WR with a chance of being a #1b behind Evans) and Taylor only went to NE because , well, its NE and it gives him the best chance to win now, and it gives him the best chance to step in as the #1 guy or atleast a #1b, where in Buffalo he is the backup to Lynch and Jackson at best and will have very little playing time.
  21. Everyone was screaming for the Bills to sign him and pay him whatever he wanted, yet the only team interested in giving him anywhere near what he wanted was the Rams, and he even held out signing that because he didn't want to sign there. Maybe the Fans here in Buffalo overrated this guys value, or 30 other teams have dumber front offices then Buffalo's fans
  22. Inguaranteed money, I think Hall made around $40-50 million in the last year now since he receieved $20-25 from the Raiders guaranteed, and then they cut him, and now another $20-25 mil in guaranteed from the Skins. The feds should be looking into trying to lock him up forthat much theft! And like someone said, he is the perfect owner for most of the people posting in the last 48 hours, the guys crying cause the Bills haven't spent any money on Day one and let all the good players go
  23. Can Trent?
  24. He had to dothat because fanssee something and then misread what he wrote and run with it as fact. He never said Coles was staying all night, he just said Coles stayed in Buffalo and didn't leave immediatly afterhis interview, yet some fans sawthat and ran with it as he was staying all night
  25. No, Daniel Snider spends more then Lots of money. And yeah, it gives them hope, but thats it, unless that would appease all Bills fans, HOPE, cause I think TD try that approach and he was run out of town cause the fans wanted results
