  1. No, they will just be replacedwith whining that the players they did bring in or sign suck and that theres hundreds of better players available then that guy
  2. Exactly, I don't think it has anything to do with Coles. Coles supposedly has the Bills offer and is seeing if theres any other interest out there, theres not much else the Bills could do without looking desperate and losing any leverage in negotiations. They now have to wait for coles to make up his mind. If they start bringing in more WR's, then I would agree that it means they are pretty much done waiting for Coles
  3. I only read they were looking at Fowler after losing their centre to Miami, but Preston too??? Nice
  4. Sure, they could do that too, and usuallythats one of the preffered methods, but theres never a guarantee on any player that they will amount to anything, for example, Mike Williams, who was the 4th overall pick and now is a backup or out of the league
  5. Anything that improves the offence and might put the ball in the endzone a couple more times is a MAJOR NEED on this team, not a bonus. That is unless the league is changing the rule to give 7 points for a sack and 3 for rushing the QB
  6. I think the Bills overpayed for Evans, but only because they never use him. Evans is worth what they payed, if they actually throw him the ball more then a handful of times per game.
  7. He tried to refuse, he even called the Ravens back up to try and get them to send him a comparible offer, butthey weren't interested, and no one else wanted to offer him anything anywhere near what the Rams were. He didn't want to sign there and desperatlytried to get some other teamsinterest, but there was no other interest for his price The Bills have already said they would not be spending that kind of money on an interior linemen
  8. Exactly, "that guy from the Ravens" (his name is Brown) was so in demand because he was such a great Centre that his own team didn't want him back, and the onlyteam willing to give him an offer was the Rams, where he desperatly tried to not sign with, but had to when no one stepped upto give him a comparible offer. But of course he is the only choice to be a starting centre. You do realise that the guy they did sign has been a starter before and played well, well enough his old team did want him back but couldn't safford to sign him, and he onlylost the starting job because the other guy played better. When he came in, I belive their running game actually improved a little bit, and he has experience working against the jets 3-4 nose tackle (probably the better nose tackle the Bills face in their division) when Jenkins played in Carolina. There are many ways to address FA's. Overpay for top tier guys that are not guaranteed, or may be on their last legs and are living off their name, or sign backups/second tier guys with potential that may be able to step in and be an improvement over what you had.
  9. Probably not, thats why they were cut
  10. Buffalo used to be in a division just like that, at onepointthe AFC East was one of the tougher divisions in the league so thats no excuse
  11. So in other words, what you want is the FO to sign a bunch of over hyped, over priced FA's in the offseason, forcing you to pay 10x's more for the product, to get pretty much the exact same results as what you get in Buffalo. Either that or you want a team that doesn't overpay for guys and only brings in top notch players that pan out. Its so easy to do that all the otehr teams do it all the time except for Buffalo If you want the team to spend the kind of money the big markets spend, you better be willing to spend the ame kind of money for the team like the fans of those big market teams, if not, you get what you pay for. I will never uderstand why people get so mad at a sports team thats supposed to be your favorite. If you don't like how things are being done, don't support them and go find one that will make you happy. No one is holding you at gunpoint to stay a fan, find one that makes you happy, you will feel so much better
  12. they didn't have a top 10 D last year and they still had a chance to win 4-5 games against their own division, if only the offence could have figured out how to put the ball in the endzone when they were on offence
  13. But mcKelvin will need time to rest on the bench after being the Kick and Punt return guy when roscoe gets traded because Jenkins is more valuable as a ST's Gunner if the Bills get Coles
  14. So then wouldn't that mean that Roscoes job is more then safe? Recently they have been making some moves, letting some ST's go and replacing them because they don't have the roster space anymore (Coy Wire?), but I don't see Buffalo letting one of the leagues best return guys go to keep around a guy who is going to only be a gunner on ST's
  15. I think the problem was that the McMahon name was involved, and they used WWE announcers for games. it linked it too much to Pro Wrestling so people just figgured it was fixed and "Redneck" sothey wouldn'tsupport it. If Vince would have kept it seperate and stayed a silent partner while having someone else be the "face" ofthe league, it may have ahd some success, especially with the price of the NFL now and the higher salaries for players
  16. And what is that? He can play ST's as a Gunner? They can find someone else for that job
  17. Jenkins is more of a "luxury" then Rsocoe. They can find another gunner thats close enough to what Jenkins gave us, but you aren't going to find another return guy remotly as good as Roscoe. Jenkins deal is not very big and he can be let go. They are obviously looking to upgrade the WR core, otherwise Washington and Coles wouldn't have been brought in and Coles would have never been given an offer. Evans is staying, they could try to put Johnson on the PS or move Reed or Parrish, or if Hardy is still hurt, put him on IR, or maybe even deal him if they didn't like what they saw in him last year. But from the list of their WR's, Jenkins is at the bottom since he won't be used as a WR unless injuries occur, so he's there for ST's only. Do you keep a roster spot open for a ST Gunner who may play WR, or the NFL's top Punt returner who can also play WR just as good.
  18. No one is throwing Hardy or Johnson away Hardy shown last year that he is not ready for the #2 role just yet, and with his injury last seasonhe is going to need time to get back into the game. A for Johnson, For crying out loud, the guy has played in 3 games in his 1 year career and made 10 catches, people nowthink we have the next Randy Moss in the 7th round pick
  19. I have asked that so many times, as everything I have read just says that Miami would be in the mix because of Pennington, but no talk about him going to Miami for a meeting. But don't let that ruin the love around here that the Bills could potentially bring in a FA. Remember, no one ever wants to come here and everywhere (even Detroit or Oakland) is a better choice.
  20. Before I read that it was 2 Lions players and a Raiders player, I thought that it would be just Buffalos luckthat it would be Coles, Simmons, and someone else the bills had come in to talk
  21. Seeing as how The pats got a 2nd for both Cassell and Vrabel, I'm sure this deal would take 2 - 1st rounders
  22. HAs he even been to miami for a visit? I have never seen anywhere where it says he visited the dolphins, just that they would dbe interested because of the Pennington connection And why wouldn't he consider Buffalo, they are supposedly offering equal or more money, and give him a chance to be a starter, Buffalo couldn't offer that to Taylor like NE could
  23. Did you? Cause if you did, and not just follow Stats or the opinions of some posters, you would have noticed that the Bills defence was not the best last year, it wa notwhat held them back. THE PROBLEM LAST YEAR WAS THAT THE OFFENCE COULD NOT SCOREPOINTS AND KEPT THE BILLS FROM WINNING GAMES. The defence was good enough to keep the team in games, but the offence couldn't do anything when they got the ball back. DE is not the biggest priority, fixing the offence so it can get in the endzone is the bigger need, unless they change the rules and give 7 points for a sack, or change the rules so that the way you score is not by getting into the endzone, but by applying pressureto the QB
  24. he seemed like he was interested and spent alot of time with the FO yesterday, and its not like every team is knocking down his door to sign him right now. Buffalo would be a good choice for him because he will have the chance to be oneofthe teams top receivers and given plenty of playing time. No one is looking at him to come in and be their #1, and Buffalo would guarantee him the spot as a #2 WR. So far, from whats been said, the Bills ahve been the only team that has shown interest in him, although according to some here, Miami is signing him as we speak cause they want him really bad.
  25. Is he going to be a JOE? Cause he isn't a pro, unless his event is going to be a fighting event
