  1. People were calling for Jim to be the OC just cause he was a HOF QB. Well they would call for him to be OC until the Bills miss the playoffs, then they will all bash Ralph and the Front Office for such a stupid move
  2. Its simple, Marv was a "stop gap" choice for GM, just like the players he brought in. Marv was never going to stick around more then a couple years, and he was only brought in to try and bring some control back to a team that had lost all control with TD. The player he brought in were temporary player brought in to help carry the team until they could replace them with drafted players. A-Train, Reyes, Tripplett, P. Price................ none of them were supposed to be corner stones to championship teams, they were stop gaps. Players who were veterans to help mentor the young players, or guys that had ptoential and could help improve the team now. What people don't think about when it comes to signing players and coaches is that the player and/or coach have to also want to sign here. Its not like Buffalo is the biggest market with tons of media attention, or great nightlifes with celebrities. They also forget that some of the big teams today, Indy, NE, etc went through many years of struggling and top picks before they got where they are. If it wasn't for Manning in INdy, or NE lucking out with Brady, those teams would not be where they are today. Another thing is everyone thinks Buffalo has been one of the worst teams just because its playoff drought, but Buffalo fans haven't had it too bad and there are fans that would love to have the Bills record the last decade +. Buffalo has been a mediocre team this last decade. 7-9 is mediocre, not bad. But apparently its better to have one good yeaqr and then have to sit through many truly bad years. I'm sure 49er, Lions, Raiders, Browns fans would love to atleast say the last decade they have been mediocre.
  3. Well, they either believe that Butler is a better, or atleast just as good of a RT then Walker would be. Walker didn't want to play LT, thats a fact. He prefered playing RT because he felt he was better there. Everyone wanted the superstar Bell to play LT anyways, now he gets to. Why is everyone so cranky now? Did they really think with Walker at LT, or even RT that the Bills were that much better of a team, or where they better with Turk callinig plays? The starting offence couldn't even score a TD in the preseason, that right there deserves big changes. Better now to atleast give them a bit more of a chance this season, or atleast gives some younger guys more time and experience
  4. So the bills would play in an offence with 2 LTs????? The hype around Bell is almost as bad as the man love for Steve Johnson after only a couple of catches at the end of the season
  5. I love how first, most people say he sucks, then they rip him because he says he isn't happy at LT, and now they act like the Bills cut a Pro Bowl LT and replaced him with a rookie no one wanted.
  6. Its funny how people are making a huge deal out of this. The Bills starting offence didn't score a TD all preseason, and the offence has looked horrible all preseason, coming off a season where the offence was just as bad. Its not like this move was made because of one bad game. Cutting him now might give them a better chance then cutting him later in the season, atleast now they have 17 weeks to improve, instead of however many games after he is canned in the season
  7. But he sucks remember, cause he was picked at #8 and they could have traded the pick away and had him latter
  8. Like people have said, if 2 players give you just about the same production, but cost different, which one do you cut? The guy making more. Omon didn't grossly outplay Rhodes or look like he could fight Lynch or jackson for the starting job, but he did play atleast as well as Rhodes, maybe a bit better. Rhodes looked like nothing special out there and his production in the preseason was not worth what he was being paid. But obviously "Ralph Cheap, Bills suck, Player just released/Cut was Pro Bowl worthy, The Bills are a joke of a franchise"
  9. Yes, Edwards hasn't impressed this pre-season, but he is the starter, the Bills don't have to announce this, he is the starter, Fitz is the backup. If Trent continues to struggle, maybe we might see Fitz sometime, but I wouldn't hold my breath. You can if you want though...............
  10. BUT, BUT, BUT The Patriots picked him up so obviously he is a Pro Bowler
  11. theres a difference between SIMPLE, and PREDICTABLE. Fairchilds offence was PREDICTABLE. Everyone knew what they were going to do, RUN, RUN, PASS, PUNT. That is worse then SIMPLE. SIMPLE can mean having only a dozen different plays, but the key to that is knowing how to hide which of those dozen you are going to run, and mixing it up so that teams don't know whats going to be coming. When its so easy that the fans at home know what is going to be run, what do you think its like for the other team that has studied and watch video of the team all week
  12. Schoebel won't get cut Kelsay or Denney may go with Ellis and a couple other DE's stepping it up in the preseason. Now with Maybin, and Schoebel, plus either Kelsay or Denney, that makes room for having Ellis in the rotation
  13. It must mean Fred Jackson is good to go, or else they have found someone better in FA/waivers DJ did say before the last Preseason game that no one was safe, and that if they found someone better on waivers/FA, they wouldn't be against cutting someone to replace them. Rhodes wasn't too impressive, Oman did look pretty good at times. Seems like the front office knows that its do or die this year. Turk already gone, Rhodes cut, Simpson traded to Detroit.......
  14. Its doubtful the Pats have given a scrub TE info regarding a game over a week away and cut him. He might now the basics, about as much of their game plan for week 1 as we do watching them on TV right now in the preseason
  15. The Bills can't score any less points on offence with marshall at Qb then with Trent right now Not saying I'd do it, just saying........................................
  16. So did I, I have loved all his movies I think one of the problems is that people go into it expecting something else. The go into Halloween movies expecting it to be remakes of the originals, but they are not, they are his versions of the halloween movies As for the others, they were throw backs to the B-movies of the 70's, the kind of stuff he grew up watching.
  17. This is it, he was only doing 2
  18. How come everyone uses the Pro Bowl to judge Peters worth (the first Pro Bowl he deserved, last year was off of his past play and no other healthy choice) but yet Schoebel is horrible and worthless yet he has played in the Pro Bowl? Pro Bowl and All Star games are jokes, and alot of the time players are named to the game due to their name and past play, its not always about their play that season. As for Peters, so far, he has been disapointing in Philly. He was a great player in Buffalo for a coupleyears, but he is not the greatest LT ever to play the game like the homers want everyone to think, and he isn't the worst LT to play like others want everyone to think. Lets all face facts, Peters was going to sit out again because he wanted a new deal to replace one that he just had renegotiated. The Billswere not willing to renegotiate a deal that they just re did a few years ago without him proving again that his play was worth it. He did not do that last season, and his hold out put a bad taste in the mouth of Bills fans and the front office so they decided that instead of having that distraction again, they would move him and get what they can for him. Jason Peters is replacable, and LT isn't the be all end all position in football like Bill has made everyone believe. Its an important position, but you can win without having the best LT in the game. The Bills were 7-9 with him playing LT, and there were still problems with the QB's getting sacked. Everyone needs to stop overrating Peters and the LT position thinking its impossible to do well without him. Unless he is going to be throwing or catching TD's too, the LT position has not been the problem with the Bills offence. Even with JP playing LT this preseason, the Bills offence would still be struggling
  19. He has? Or has it been people are blinded and using the fact that he was better then the last guy so he is playing great?
  20. Because Trent isn't comfortable/can't throw a decent pass that far
  21. With the 8th-12th pick (they aren't bad enough to sit lower then Tampa, or Detroit right now) the Bills will select............ Someone that the fans will b*tch and moan about because he wasn't the player that the fans thought was the better player/saviour that their guy would be, and that the player was a reach that they could have gotten later, or atleast just taken a guy not as good, but still got their guy, or atleast should have just traded down cause they had every team in the league calling up to trade all of their picks for the bills pick. Then, after ever game, if this pick doesn't look like a Pro Bowler, we will have 5-6 posts about how player 'X' should have been taken because he looked so great in a preseason game
  22. You guys realise whitner doesn't have to be prepared for a 3-4 defence, becuase he isn't on the field when the other teams defence in on the field. INT's don't mean everything, sure he hasn't been worthy of a Pro Bowl start, but the guy has been far from horrible, or on the verge of being replaced/cut. People seriously need to get a grip on reality. Whitner was not a horrible pick, and there will always be someone else that might have been a better pick in hindsight
  23. while I don't think the fans are the reason the team wins or loses, I do think they are t blame for the culture of losing, cause I think they were the ones that created it by constantly complaining about every little thing. There are plenty of fans of other teams who would love to have the Bills last decade of mediocrity, over what they have had. Except the fans here make it sound like the Bills have been the very worst team ever in the last decade or so. The Bills have not been horrible since the last Super Bowl they were in, just mediocre. Would peope here rather be Lions fans?
  24. I would hope Trent isn't a #1 WR, otherwise this team and coaching staff have even more problems then we know, although it wouldn't suprise me with the way this team likes to move players to other positions, I mean, we did have a converted TE play LT for a few years
  25. I was just at the Classic Albums live of "Dark Side of the Moon" on Friday. They had a woman who did all the backup singing who was pretty good, although on that album, I'd also have to give the soud effects guy credit for backup vocals too, lol
