  1. Just to play devils advocate
  2. Langston did not want to play LT, and he let it show with his attitude and play. What veteran was available that would have made this o-line so much better? Runyan? How many teams have passed on him? Jones? How long did it take for a team to finally pick him up? Bell and Butler were playing alright (The fans also got exactly what they wanted, Bell playing LT), problem has been keeping the Tackles healthy
  3. ?????? It doesn't? Isn't it the #1 job for the o-line to give his QB time and not let him get sacked???? News flash, Buffalo is not the very worst in this league at everything like everyone wants to believe in "Whoa is us" Buffalo. The difference is, GB has a QB that can make plays and doesn't require all day protection to make a short pass over the middle.
  4. Did DJ tell him to take the day off or was it just DJ that approved his request? Also, TO can always turn and say "thanks, but I would rather get my timing down and work with Fitzpatrick and help the team" Wow, I almost couldn't write that keeping a straight face think that TO would actually say that
  5. Then how can you blame the QB's and say they are bad? A good QB would have this offence playing much better, good QB's do that. Unfortunatly, neither of Buffalos starters this year are good enough to help a team win. Kelly in his prime would be able to make passes to Evans and TO (no guarantees that Mr. "First Ballot Hall of Famer" OWens would catch the ball though)
  6. Aaron Rodgers has looked pretty good with worse protection, he does lead the league in sacks, and thats including already going through the bye week Too many people think that just giving the QB time will help. The problem is, one QB can't throw a deep ball to save his life, and the other is a backup who is mediocre at best and has his #1 WR who feels that taking Friday off will help more then getting your timing down with a new QB Biggest mistake of the season by management was not dealing TO for whatever they could get at the deadline.
  7. TO is gone after this season (and you are insane if you believe that he is going to re-sign in Buffalo), He only has a 1 year deal. Baltimore make take a serious look at him if its true that they tried to trade Buffalo for him. If TO has another option for next year, he will get on the first plane out of Buffalo Also, why is everyone so down on Hamdan thinking he will get cut? He knows the offence already and is content being a backup/third stringer.
  8. But bringing Dick Jauron Back for another year would require alot more then a first round QB, they would need to trade Keith Ellison straight up for Brady and Moss for fans to buy back in to another DJ season. The only way he is back at the end of the season is if the Bills make the playoffs, cause then atleast they can say that they made the playoffs and are building off of that and don't want to disrupt chemistry
  9. They were face to face, but there wasn't any yelling or screaming going on, he was actually talking to him and letting him know that it was alright
  10. It won't matter unless that nearly .500 record will get them a playoff spot. A change is comming, Dicks fate is sealed unless miraculously they make the playoffs. Ralph knows that if not, he will have to do something even bigger then just bringing in TO to try and win the sheep back that ran out and threw away their season tickets due to Dick coming back for this year. Dick won't be fired at the Bye, or during the season (unless things become brutally ugly later this year) but he will be gone and they will go in a new direction this offseason. It just won't be the choice that all the fans want. It will be an assistant or someone who's coaching in the UFL right now. Not Shannahan, Gruden, Cowher, Dungy, Holmgren, etc.
  11. Aaron Rodgers has been sacked more then Edwards and Fitzpatrick combined this year and Rodgers has been in one less game since GB had the Bye week, yet Rodgers still makes plays and can throw for over 300 yards a game.
  12. Edwards Supporters have become exactly what they hated before, JP Losman Suporters Same excuses/arguements, you could take the excuses by Edwards Supporters and replace it with JP and you will find those same things in posts from the last couple years. The o-line is bad, the coaches are bad and screwing him up, the play callings bad.......
  13. He looks Bad @ss with a limp?
  14. I love how apparently theres only one choice, that when healthy it has to be either Whitner or Byrd. What has Wilson done thats been so incredible that he deserves to take a starting job away from Whitner? You do know that it can be Whitner AND Byrd on the field. Byrd isn't going back to the bench, thats a fact, but when healthy (unless he becomes a ball hawk too and becomes a Pro Bowler) Wilson will take a seat when Whitners back. The guy you should be asking about is Scott
  15. I'm not blaming the entire loss on Trent or anything, but last time i checked a score of 3-3 against one of the worst teams with a bad defence, is not exactly "Winning". Sorry, If Edwards finds the endzone just once against the Browns, the Bills still win the game despite Parrish fumbling There was a big difference I saw yesterday in Carolina and Buffalo, when the Carolina player fumbled a kick (identical to Parrish's) there was a player on the sidelines who came over to him and got in his face and talked to him to let him know that it was alright. In Buffalo when that happens you get your house vandilised, they scream for you to get cut, or your made inactive for the next few games
  16. The Bills defence is alot better then people give them credit for, they only look at the stats and don't actually watch the game. This defence kept one of the leagues best offences to one of their lowest scoring of the season, and the only reason they lost the game was because the Bills offence couldn't do anything but give the ball back Look at almost all of the games this year and the Bills defence keeps Buffalo in the game until usually late in the 3rd or the 4th, when they just hit a wall cause they have been on the field for about 2/3 of the game at that point. Take almost any of the leaguse top 10 defences and give them an offence that keeps going 3 and out and i can almost guarantee you that they don't stay in the top 10 very long I have said it many, many, many times the last few seasons, THE DEFENCE IS NOT THE PROBLEM, ITS THE OFFENCE. Get an offence that is compitent enough to score more then 20 points a game and the Bills will be competing for a playoff spot late in the year with a defence in the top half of the league, even with jauron as the coach
  17. And a New location I really hope you get what you want though, a new owner, cause that also comes with a new location, unless Buffalo becomes an economic powerhouse of the US
  18. Isn't this only Ellis's second season? I think he was on a personal leave since the Miami game since his mother died? (I think they said it was his mother). Ahead of him right now are 4 other DE's (Schobel, Kelsay, Denney, and Maybin)
  19. Yeah, Yeah, if the Bills took Steinbach instead, things would have all been different, the balance of the AFC East would be changed and it would be Buffalo leading the Division instead of NE. Steinbach proved that on the teams hes been on since being drafted. Maybe they took the chance on Willis cause they knew that they were not a o-linemen away from being competitive and decided that they could take a chance and possibly have a guy that could have been the #1 overall pick late in the first round and have that solid running back to make them a power running team in a tandem with Henry. That was the original plan, to run a tandem of Henry and Willis. The Bills were one of the teams that started the newer trend of having tandem backs that almost all teams are using now
  20. Maybe they found someone better to use their first round pick on in those drafts then what was available at that time at DE? They have other rounds of the draft because there are still good players left. Between the Bills #1 picks those years, and the drafting of those 3 players, were there really that many better DE's available that were better then the players the Bills selected with their #1 pick? Clements was a good pick, even McGahee, if he were to have had the same work ethic/determination that he did during rehab on the field for Buffalo, It would have been a great pick. Before his injury he was projected to be one of the top picks in the draft. People put too much stock in the draft and draft position. Theres always going to be someone who may have been a better choice, or could have filled a need a little better, or in hindsight would have been a better choice, thats just the way it works. The draft is a crapshoot, if not, guys like Brady wouldn't have lasted in the draft as long as he did.
  21. Sorry, it can't be the A-Team without Mr.T
  22. Why would that matter? Ryan won last week and people still have no faith in him and say he sucks
  23. Putting the casinos in NF Ontario helped shape what NF is today. Unfortunatly, you can see another side of that by looking at NF NY, they have a casino too and well, you know what NF NY looks like.................. I'm sure Buffalos waterfront will look great when its built along with the new Peace Bridge in the year 2583. It took them how long to take down the Aud to start this development???
  24. Its not always about money, people don't seem to understand this. Guys like Cowher and Dungy walked away from the game after they have achieved success in the NFL and now that they are older they want to spend more time with their families so they took nice jobs working in TV. These guys have nothing left to prove, and they don't need the money, so they can sit back and wait for the perfect situation to fall in their laps IF they ever get to the point where they miss tha game and want to come back. Gruden is in a similar situation, he has won a SB and not much left to have to prove, the only difference with him is that he didn't leave the game on his own terms. Shannahan and Shottenheimer are pretty old and may have seen their best coaching days behind them. The trend now is looking for the younger up and coming assistants, and teams are having great success with that. Having a great coach means nothing if you don't have great players on the field. The coaches aren't the ones playing the game. Who was Belicheck before Brady? Dungy before Manning? People have mentioned Fisher as a great coach, butlook at what happened one year after going 13-3 and bringing back almost all the starters from the year before?
  25. Why? are they trying to get into trouble for having players fake injuries to justify removing them from games? If they wanted it to be believable, they should have atleast said that he had a leg/lower body injury
