WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? Don't they know the mighty Bill Cowher is available and just begging to come to Carolina and make them an instant Super Bowl Contender????????
-
How many weeks ago did you write this? I thought they were up to 20 before the Falcons game And of course its marshawns fault, like everyone on this team, theres no NFL team that would be interested in taking one of those Bums TO has been a model player when facing the media this season, mostly because he knows he has to if he wants a chance to play another couple years in the league for more then the veteran minimum. My guess though is that he already has his room in Buffalo packed and probably dropped off at home this weekend (doesn't he still have his home in Atlanta?) and will be long gone from buffalo once he is changed and gives his usual post game interview next week. There is no way he is back in Buffalo next year, unless no one else makes an offer (and in this case, it won't matter which team offers more $$). TO was not the reason the offence sucked this year and he can still play, but he did nothing to help try and improve the offence, something a veteran making his kind of money should have done. He gave minimal effort on the majority of the offences plays, and theres no excuse for that in proffesional sports when you make millions to play a game
-
Ahhh, maybe his $6.5 million dollar paycheck????????? Being on a losing team is no excuse for not giving 100% effort all the time, thats why they pay you MILLIONS TO PLAY A FREAKIN' GAME. Was he used to full potential? No. Could he have been better if he was on a better team? Probably Does this excuse his lack of effort? Hell No Was he worth signing this year? For the Bills, ticket and Jersey sales show that it was

Does Michael Vick Still have what it takes?

He signed a 1 year deal with a team OPTION for a second year. They would have to take the option, which will cost them starter money to keep him. Out of the veteran options available this offseason, he is probably one of the better ones. Out of the three the OP mentioned, Pennington is DONE and everyone already complains about Edwards arm strength, Collins career is done after going 0-6 with the Titans and looking worse then Young, Bulger might be the only other decent option if he hasn't been beaten too badly playing in St. Louis. As for Vick, its not going to matter what he says, people will still say that he is faking the remorse, isn't truly remorsful, is just saying what he has to to keep his job..................................... -

Good Now Don't cry when he picks up HIS team, and moves them somewhere where he can actually turn a decent profit Seriously, if he is such a problem, go find a team that hasa better owner that you can cheer for, or, take a gun, put it in your mouth, then pull the trigger................. Quit crying over stuff you can't control. Having an NFL team is not a right, its a privilege. No oe is forcing you to be a fan or to cheer for a specific team. The NFL is a buisness, and Buffalo is not a place where this buisness can thrive, especially with a new owner who is going to have debts in order to pay for the team -

Why stop there? Why not deal Freddy too, he might get some better picks to use on the line, then the Bills can draft a bunch of O & D linemen, start all rookies at those spots, and then just go out and get some guys off the street to play RB. Its been proven that anyone can play RB, and really, if you actually look, Freddy isn't all that special compared to other RB's in the league, he is only talked about and looked highly on cause of the route he took to get to the NFL The Bills should just cut everyone and draft a new team this year. I'm sure that will be the quickest way back into the playoffs and its not like the Bills have any players worth keeping -
Buffalo a "real player" for Vick next year
apuszczalowski replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This current regime is looking at brohm as the "long term" answer at QB. IF they choose to sign Vick, its a short term fix to help them until Brohm is ready, and maybe as a "special weapon" in a Wild Cat offence. As for Vicks play this year, he really hasn't been given much of a chance in Philly, I will wait to pass judgement until he has had a full training camp to work with a team -
Mike Holmgren to be President of Browns

Not arguing, just wondering what QB's Holmgren developed. I just remember him having Favre and Hasselback -
So who do we love and who do we hate?
apuszczalowski replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, most people here hate Poz as a MLB -
How does that matter to a coach, unless they refuse to want to coach in a city other then Buffalo? The new owner will have to honor the existing contracts, or else fire them and they will continue to get paid out their deal, something Ralph could do at any time. If anything, this might be one of the better jobs cause Ralph has shown he may stick with coaches he likes for longer then he should recently. As for Snyder and the Redskins, like someone said, they stip into one of the only positions in the league where the owner has a "Monies no Object" mentality and can get whatever they want personal wise. Thats very desirable, not having to work within budgets. Its alot easier to build when you have free reign to go after anyone you want without having to worry about a budget. The difference now for the redskins is they are bringing in some new football minds that may beable to spend Snyders money better

Good point, my other post should be edited to say that the midget trainer excluded from the hate list, but he hasn't done enough to be put on the like list yet -
This is typical "Buffalo Fan Grass is always Greener on the other side" mentality There is talent on the roster, more then the fans give it credit for, and the age of the owner is not an issue, in the last few years there have been a couple of owners pass away, like in KC, and I believe ST Louis too. Its a 1 in 32 job that isn't something that comes by every day. Your comment about big names not being attracted to complete rebuilding projects may be true, but not there are very few coaches that can turn down offers and still find better positions out there And The bills are not near the Raiders in the Dysfunction department, there isn't a team in the league that can compete with Oakland in that area. Actually, the bills may be pretty close to every other team in the "Dysfunction" department

Mike Holmgren to be President of Browns
apuszczalowski replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Usually it goes hand in hand, good coaches can make players look better, and good players can make coaches look better. Its a good thing that the Patriots went with that proven commodity in Bellicheck when they were looking for a coach. The Falcons and Ravens must be happy they went with proven winners after last season, along with Arizona, and Pittsburgh. -
Who says they have offered other coaches $10 million? the only coach that the Bills have actually talked to was Shanahan, and he is still out there. Also no one knows the details, like if they told him they would offer it to him after the season, or if he would be the GM/coach or just coach. Shanahan may have also decided to weigh his options. In Buffalo he is in rebuilding mode and a season or 2 from the playoffs. In Dallas, or with Dan "Moneys no Object" Snyder, they are much closer to the playoffs andbeing "built" already. Holmgren passed cause he wanted complete control of the organisation which he would get in Clevland and tried to get in Seattle. He was asked to come in and just coach here, and he said no thanks. Cowher told everyone he is happy as an announcer now and won't talk til after the season, he is in a position where he can hold out for the position that suits his life and family better, he left coaching on his own terms, just like Dungy. Gruden is making similar money sitting in a booth for a few hours a week that he would make coaching and would be stupid to give that up Remember, its not a race to see who can sign guys first, its getting the best choice for your team and theres still good choices out there that aren't huge names.

Sorry, but your wrong, people here love Incognito cause he is mean, and the Bills have to have nasty mean o-linemen..... So we love: Jackson Byrd Incognito TO (sometimes) Steve "HOF' Johnson Klopfenstein and everyone that wasn't drafted by the Bills in the draft that play o-line or d-line We hate: Everyone else that wears a Bills Jersey or is part of the organisation -
but we have to get rid of the "Tampa-2" defence cause the only way to win in the NFL is to use a 3-4, and thats going to require alot of changes in personal, so the focus in the draft has to be defence. The only way to win in the league is to be the best defence in the league, the offence will be fine, we have Simmons and Incognito now

Mike Holmgren to be President of Browns
apuszczalowski replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just asking, but What QB's did he "develop"? In GB he already had Favre, and in Seattle he had the better Hasselback And as for him "building" those teams he was only GM of Seattle for a few years, and they took that away from him cause he wasn't that good and they prefered he just stick to coaching. So many keep saying these big coaches "built" these great teams, but who says they actually built them? Don't the GM's get any credit for doing their jobs and "building" the team that the coaches coach? -
Are you saying its easy to sell a team that blew a 4-1 start of the season, kept a coach fans wanted to string up in the streets, and signed almost no decent FA's in the offseason? The Bills sold out every game with record season ticket sales, had jerseys flying off the shelves, and had the sheep believing that bringing in TO would make this team comptitive. Yeah, a monkey could do that job
-
And the Bills gave their Pro Bowl LT big time $$$$ contract to lock him up for the long term, except he came right back and decided he was worth even more enough with the Peters whining already. He wanted out and he wanted more money withut having to work for it. He's to blame as much as the Bills are.

Honest opinion of Fewell
apuszczalowski replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see him stay, the defence is better then everyone gives them credit for when you actually look at the defence and not just the stats thrown out on broadcasts. This defence, even though everyone hates it cause the stats don't look good, keeps the Bills in games and puts them in position to win I am not against keeping Fewell as HC (with April as ST and Assisst HC) as long as they spend the offseason focused on building a real offence that can score points -
... and precisely why aren't we playing Hardy?
apuszczalowski replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And yet all over the league there are also great players that took some time to develop. Not all players step right in and contribute right away As for TO, your joking right. He might say the right words for you to believe that he cares about winning as a team, but you only have to watch him when he is on the field and knows the play isnèt going to him to know he only cares about TO. TO is here cause he needed to show the league he can behave and get one more big payday. TO is not a leader or a team first guy, he just knows how to say the right things to help himself look better
