Ain't gonna happen with Darcy Regier at GM, he is going to continue his "Wait and See" approach and pick up some low level rental at the deadline and hope some more of their prospects can come up and play better then Vanek, Roy, and Pomminville. I don't think the Olympics are going to help Buffalo as much as its going to hurt them. Having the guy thats single handedly carrying the team right now on his back will be playing a bunch more games on the West coast instead of resting, and will have to come back and go back to carrying them into the playoffs. Iwatched that game last night (girlfriends a Leafs fan and I wasn't at home so I had to watch that game), that was an amazing finish, but it made me believe even more that Canada is going to have a hard time in the Olympics cause their goaltending is not a plus anymore like it used to be. Brodeur is starting to show his age and Luongo isn't playing like he used to. If I was them, Fleury wouldn't automatically be the 3r stringer, I would be looking hard at all 3. I think the US could give alot of the teams a run for a top medal if Miller stays hot

I was about to post that!

The Colts a couple of years ago? They run the same defence as the Bills have been using, 2 of the final 4 teams this year ran a version of the Tampa 2 (Washington and Indy) with the other 2 playing a 4-3 and a 3-4

Well the ears expect to name someone before the Superbowl according to what I had read about them hiring Martz, so that would most likely rule out a guy on the Colts or Saints

Buffalo has not been at the same level as Cleveland and Detroit in the Basement. Buffalo has been a mediocre team, middle of the pact (lower middle). With DJ they typically finished 7-9 and around the middle 1/3 of the league. Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland, Oakland, etc have been finishing in the bottom 5 many times over the last decade

Will the Bills have a QB coach this year?

Chan has been a Head Coach before in the past in college and the NFL -
Mistruths about Drafting a "LT"
apuszczalowski replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McCargo, and Preston worked for the Bills? Right now, I agree, I would rather bringing in someone with some NFL experience to play LT just because the line is so young and inexperienced already, adding another rookie to start isn't going to help much right now -
Personally, I am with Donte and would be all for making a move to get Troy Smith, because he has more upside where as with McNabb, without a new deal in place is here for one year, and theres no telling how much longer he will be a good QB for I would also prefer spending a pick to get a LT in a trade or RFA. Get someone who has experience and can start from Day one, the line is young enough at this point, adding another rookie to a line that consists of 2 2nd year players (only one has a full season of NFL experience) isn't going to improve the lines much right now

But you can say that about most teams in the league, players move on all the time and no team is made up with all their own picks

And resting the starters, giving the Jets the game almost cost the Colts because they came back to face them in the playoffs, just like it bit the Bengals. Like the saying goes "You don't put off tomorrow what you can take care of today". Either of those teams take the game seriously and beat the jets, they don't face them in the playoffs. Luckily for the Colts, it worked out for them in the end

Leslie Frazier could have been a good coach
apuszczalowski replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whats the difference between a co-ordinator with no HC experience and Gailey? Gailey may not have had a bunch of long tenured HC jobs in the NFL, but he has made the playoffs in almost every season he coached. Its not like he has a huge list of coaching blunders and failures -
bills must go to 3-4 defense
apuszczalowski replied to Mr. Larry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The defence would be just as good if they built an NFL caliber offence that could score more then 20 points a game -

Coincidence 3 of 4 teams left are dome teams?
apuszczalowski replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It might not be a guarantee, but I think playing in a dome helps make some teams look better. You get to play a min. of 8 games in ideal weaher conditions. No blizzards, rain, swirling winds, etc. Sadly, I know this is something Bills fans are completly against, but IF Buffalo were to build a new stadium for the Bills in the future, it will more then likely be a dome. The reason being, a dome would be more multi-purpose then an outdoor stadium. The Buffalo market, and whomever funds the stadium wil most likely need a way of increasing the revenue intake for the stadium to justify its cost, and a dome gives them more options for increasing the revenue. Right now RWS gets used 8-14 times a year (14 if the Bills played 2 home Pre-Season games, along with getting home field advantage in the playoffs). To spend $400-500g's on a stadium to get used under 20 times a year is not going to go over well in this market financially. With a dome, they can rent it out for other events anytime during the year, concerts/performances, conventions, events, etc) -
What Chargers and Chiefs will be Bills next year?
apuszczalowski replied to Nanker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Merriman? Unless he is allowed to get back on the 'Roids - PASS Sproules won't be let go in SD, they would be stupid to do that, the only RB leaving SD is LT -

Report: Cameron on Bills wish list
apuszczalowski replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought you knew already that Bills fans would never be happy. I bet everyone here would be mad and complaining about hiring Cowher after they spent all this time trying to get the Bills to make the move -
Anyone else EMBARRASSED by the new GM?
apuszczalowski replied to Thurman8125's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope Embarrassed more by the Short Bus Riders the Bills call fans The ones that whine and cry about anything and everything. I could care less if the guy knows every detail of the Bills 50 year history. Thats not part of his job, building the team is his job -
Why do people think that? Its very easy to explain........... CAUSE THE FANS NO MORE THEN THE GUYS THAT ARE PAID TO EVALUATE TALENT AND COACH

Not a bad name for a stadium in the "Sunlife" state, maybe they could replace "The Who" with "KC and the Sunlife Band"

Rumor in Canada is that the Alouettes coach (and one for the original picks for possibly filing the Bills job) Trestman was brought in to interview for the Raiders non-existant opening

well, according to John Murphy, channel 4's sports director and the Bills play by play radio announcer, he spoke with Bill "the GM God" Polian when the Colts came to town and Polian said his son is going to work at Stanford for Harbaugh, but before agreeing to the job, he asked if Jim would be leaving anytime soon and Jim said no, he was not leaving for a few years.
