  1. but your also not going to win anything if you can't keep your offence on the field and score points. THAT was the biggest problem with the Bills last year, unless you believe that teams in the NFL should be able to win games scoring less then 20 points a game. I have said it many times before, the defence was good enough (not great, but good enough) to be a playoff team last year, it was the inept offence last year that held them back, and that all started with having no answer at the QB position
  2. I don't see Cleveland making a move for a QB in the draft before round 2 at the very earliest, Not with a low first round pick and making a move for Wallace and signing Delhomme for 2 years. It looks like the plan is to start Delhomme as the QB of the present and work with Wallace as the QB of the future. Sadly, I think they really took a step back in the wrong direction this offseason at QB. I don't think that right now, Delhomme (after his last year) is any better then Anderson with some decent players on offence, and Quinn has a much higher upside and potential then Seneca Wallace
  3. More like "My wild speculation", unless of course you know more then the Head Coach does in regards to the Bills personel, its not a fact but speculation
  4. I don't know about that, theres a chance that on a better team with some better players Quinn might become a good QB. The Bills are doing exactly what they said they were going to do, BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT with the remainder of the roster being filled with mid level FA's to fill holes. The Bills are also going to design their offence and defence around who they have, not after a scheme. They aren't going to scrap everything they have to do something different, they aren't going to force a square peg into a round hole
  5. How many games did he actually play in as a Bill? The point you are trying to make is that he can control his temper that cost him his spot in St. louis because in a handful of games in buffalo he didn't have an incident? In that case i guess you can say that T.O. is a model teammate,
  6. The article doesn't say that Florence says they are planning on drafting him, just that the Bills players should be talking to him cause the Bills 3-4 defence is going to be very similar to Sabans 3-4 and since he ran/called the defence for Saban, the players should talk to him and get tips/ideas to become familiar with it. I would be willing to bet my house on the fact that the Bills have not mentioned their draft plan with a CB on their defence, but I will say that they have already discussed with him the style of defence they will be playing
  7. If you pay attention to the GM and coach, they aren'y going to chose some type of offence and force the players to play in it. One of Gaileys biggest strengths is adapting the schemes towards the players he has and their strengths. As for the defence, they said they will not be going with a full 3-4 defence, its going to be more of a Hybrid one as they work towards becoming more of a full time 3-4 defence
  8. Its still early to be worried that they haven't signed more Depth guys, especially since most of the guys looking for jobs now are guys looking to sign in places where they will be the starters. This year is not a good year for FA since all the good ones are RFAs and will cost a team picks. Its not rediculous to believe that guys can't transition just cause it didnt work last year. That was a bunch of different players, and a completly different coaching staff. The one thing that they looked for in the new staff were guys that are supposed to be good teachers, which is what you need to transition guys. The team is not worried about the owner dying like the media and fans are as they should not be. Everything is buisness as usual and aren't going to rush things cause they are afraid RW might die
  9. Instead of trading down, maybe they are looking to do what the team has done a bunch of times recently and trade back into the late 1st round? Everyone always says they should trade down and get more later picks, but what would be better? Grab a bunch of OK guys just to fill spots, or grab a couple of really good players?
  10. Also throw in the fact that Travis Henry wasn't drafted by Marv Levy when he took over the GM job, and was already off the team by the time marv came back and said that he was looking for character guys................... Its funny howas fans, we can all say what we want about players and the team, but anytime Whitner opens his mouth everyones telling him to shut up cause they are mad that the bills FO took him where they all believe was too early.
  11. I thinkalso what people don't seem to get is that the Bills coaching staff is one built that spcializes in working with what it has and designing schemes around what the guys they have do best. The have said they are switching to a 3-4, but its more like a "hybrid" 3-4 and won't be used all the time
  12. Porter has also said he is looking at playing for a west coast team The Bills are not trying to be a playoff team next year, they are trying to build a foundation to build off of. Nix has said this before and they have come out and said they won't be active in FA, he has already said he prefers to re-sign their own FA's and reward them then shop for new ones. Add in the fact that there really aren't any good FA's available that are UFA's. Because fo the new FA rules this year, all the good ones were made RFA's and they will not only cost you a bigger deal that the original team doesn't want to match, but then in most cases, some high picks most teams don't want to give up
  13. Isn't that like saying he was the shinest Turd of the group? His stats have declined the last 2 seasons, and he did NOTHING to improve the Bills offence last year, stop blaming everyone else, a real veteran star makes everyone around them better, they don't need to have the team make them look better
  14. But, But, but, He was a Pro bowler and one of the best RB in the league a few years ago! The media would carry a storey about the Bills, and a pre-game show during the season or a national football/sports show might mention Buffalo because they picked up LT!
  15. Exactly, Whine that they are even looking at him because he sucks cause he played for KC, and then whine cause he signs elsewhere Isn't he from Texas? I thought thats one of the reasons why he wanted to see what the Texans had to offer, and din't he also go to another team to talk after the texans?
  16. Unlike most Bills fans, I'm not hoping the Bills dump Whitner just to get him off the roster, but for Quinn I would consider it. Quinn hasn't been great so far, but he is playing in Clevland and they haven't had much for anyone to work with. He was a great college QB who was a first rounder, he has the ability to be a franchise QB, he might just need a new team and some more development time.
  17. Why are people surprised and pissed? The bills Front Office came out and told everyone they do not believe in the 'Build through FA" approach and would not be big spenders in FA. They said they would build through the draft and maybe some trades. They are doing just that, exactly what they came out and said they would. They are not looking for an overnight fix and have said they are probably not a playoff team next year too cause they are rebuilding this year (and don't give me the crap excuse that they ahve been rebuilding for the last decade cause the new FO has nothing to do with that and can't do anything about that, they need to start at the begining again to hopefully get back to the top)
  18. And you get this from how much better he made the offence last year? An offence that was actually worse with him then they were the year before? And whats the difference between Fitz and Edwards? Both of them had similar stats last year. They are both what they are, decent backups that aren't going to get much better
  19. As for Delhomme, NO, theres a reason why Carolina cut him. He is over the hill and sliding very quickly down the downside of his career. Just because he was decent in the past, doesn't mean he will be an upgrade.
  20. Becuase he is also very well known for taking multiple stupid unnecessary roughness penalties. If you think it was hard enough for the Bills to get first downs on a regular basis last year, occassional throw them back 15 yards a few times a game and see what that does Just because the guy plays tough, doesn't mean he also plays smart. You have to know how to turn the aggression on and off like a switch, something he has proven he can't do, thats why a team with more problems then Buffalo gave him away for nothing
  21. We all agree with you on that, everyone wants guys who play with Anger. But the problem with Incognito is that he can't do the second part and control his anger. Incognito wasn't enough of a superstar where his play would erase an occasion stupid penalty, thats why he was cut free in St. Louis and not traded. Sure he may not have had an "incident" in Buffalo, but did he even play in more then a handful of games in Buffalo?????
  22. Isn't that a Law firm? He should just tear up the league like Haynesworth did when he joined the Skins
  23. Tackling in the NFL is so overrated anyways
  24. I would take him over Pennington, I don't get what the big crush on Pennington is. The guy could barely throw before the many surgeries and was already contemplating retirement.
