  1. How many coaches unretire from a network TV gig to come back and join just any team to coach? Coaches come back out of retirement all the time, but usually they are not in a Network TV gig that they pass up on, and they have a reason to come back, like trying to win a SB that they didn't win yet. What does Cowher have left to prove in the NFL? He stepped away on his own from the Steelers and wanted to be near his family more, his current job allows him to do that So what you are trying to say is that just because he coached football, he would want to do it for his entire life?
  2. Exactly, Why would you want to leave a gig like that unless you had to?
  3. Read the following slowly so it soaks in HE DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY IN A 3-4 DEFENCE WHICH IS WHAT SHANAHAN IS CHANGING THEIR DEFENCE OVER TO. BUFFALO IS SWITCHING TO A 3-4 DEFENCE WHICH IS THE REASON HE WANTS OUT! If he felt he wanted to play DE in a 3-4 defence, he would be switched to that spot in Washington. If he doesn't want to play in a 3-4 defence in Washington, whats the difference playing in Buffalo now? Atleast this is an original idea that has never been brought up before around here
  4. why does everyone care about having nationally televised games? When was the last time Buffalo won, or didn't get embarrassed in one? Give me Sunday games at 1 every week, I don't want to have to sit around and wait til 4, or til Monday just to get my footbal fix in
  5. I don't care if the Pats or the Colts called and offered me a job to coach for them, If I had the choice to "hit buzzers with Shannon Sharp and Marino" for a few hours every sunday, or have to work coaching a team from March til December every year working 20 hour days 7 days a week, I will take the Sunday only TV gig every time What is it that fans don't get about Cowher? He doesn't need to come back and coach. He has money, and he has a SB win to go on to a very impressive resume. He has nothing left in the NFL to prove and will be a HOF coach. The only way he will come back is if it is the best situation for him and his family, i.e. close to home. Right now he has a Very good paying job working 17+ Sundays a year sitting at a desk on TV joking around with some other guys. Theres no pressure, no long nights
  6. Oh, and incase you didn't notice, with a Pro Bowl LT and then with a revolving door at LT, the Bills finished the season with the same results.
  7. Do you really think that being a couple of spots lower in the draft would be the difference in turning the franchise around? The Rams and Lions have been picking in the top couple spots for the last few years and they haven't turned themselves around. Its not where you pick, but what you do with your picks.
  8. Why would he need the issue? He lived it, for Free a hefty fee
  9. Whats the point? With "junk" like that you don't need to "Big Ben" girls in a bar and get them drunk.
  10. I really want to see Rob Zombies trailer, Warewolf Woman of the S.S. made into a full length movie. That was a great trailer
  11. So you were there and have evidence/proof of this? I'm not saying that he is guilty, or innocent, what I am saying is that he has not been convicted in a court of law, only in the public/media "court of justice". If you worked for a regular corporation, and they tried to disipline you because you were accused of something, you may have a lawsuit on your hands, or atleast a grievance with a union or labor board
  12. Why are they hard to find? Because more then half the teams in the league use that type of defence
  13. If they suspend BB for being accused of sexually assaulting woman, anyone want to put together a fund to pay for some girls to go to NE and accuse Brady of some inappropriate sexual conduct? Good thing this is taking place in the country where you are innocent until the media and general public find you guilty
  14. Well has Polian ever had to make many QB draft descisions in his Career? Kelly was already drafted by the Bills when he started in Buffalo, in Indy he had the top choice in the draft that had one of the best QBs to ever pplay the game in it, Peyton Manning.
  15. Are you all really that stupid in believing that the Bills don't know where they stand right now with Schobel and that whether or not he comes back is seriously going to alter what they do this week??? Nix says they are not going to move marshawn and theres hundreds of posts talking about when the Bills move him and that you can't believe anything that a GM says this time of the year, yet just because No word has come out of the Bills organisation about Schobel, it means they don't know? If he comes back or not, the draft choices/board is not going to change much if at all
  16. Only one of 32 teams in the League thought Brady would be an NFL QB, Same with Romo. Alot of teams thought Ryan Leaf would be a franchise QB. Doesn't mean these guys are always right
  17. I fixed that for you The only one Schoebel has to inform of his intentions is the Bills FO, and they don't have to announce anything to the fans if they don't want to. The Bills know more about his situation then they have let out and know what they will or won't have to do in the draft and FA
  18. I'm all for making a deal to get him here. Carrucci was on the radio on thursday talking about this and was saying you could probably offer the same thing that Washington, got McNabb for, or at the most the Bills 1st which would be a great deal for a proven starting QB. Only problem is, Bills fans would be hypocrites for wanting Big Ben and running Lynch out of town........
  19. If he does get suspended, can we get a couple of volunteer women to say that Brady commited "Sexual Misconduct" against them? If it doesn't matter if they are convicted, and only have to be accused by someone, why not give it a try to get a few games suspension for him?
  20. Fans are running Lynch out of town because he's a "thug" and yet Marshall should be brought in? Kawika Mitchell isn't in the lineup as a starter? Everyone ran Peters out for not being committed and unmotivated (except for money) yet Gaither should be brought in (his rep is the same, unmotivated)?
  21. Gaither, a talented young OT rumored to be available in a trade by the Ravens. He is talented and could be a very good LT. Biggest knock on him during his entire playing career is that he is unmotivated and the most recent rumor is that the trade talk was just done by the Ravens to get him motivated enough to get to camp on time. The Ravens seemed to be getting frustrated by his motivation that they felt it necessary to draft an o-linemen early last year (Oher). Is he an upgrade over what they currently have? Yup. Does he have the potential to be a very good LT? Yup. Does he care if he lives up to his potential and can play at a high level on his own? Not looking Good. Is he an upgrade over a 1st or 2nd round o-linemen in this draft? He may be if he gets motivated, but I don't know if its really worth the effort
  22. I think the comparrison is that Gaither has been labeled as unmotivated. It was a knock on him in college, and its the current knock on him and the reason given why the Ravens would be shopping an OT at his age, and his apparent skill level for less then a 1st. If the rumors are true, then the Ravens aren't really interested in moving him, but used that threat of moving him as motivation to get him into camp on time with the rest of the team. If he really does have motivation issues, I would rather the Bills stay clear of him and just use the 2nd rounder they probably would use to get him to take a chance on someone in the draft
  23. Could it also be that the reason why they are trying to move him is because he knows (along with the Redskins) that he can be a starter somewhere else and does not want to be McNabbs or anyones Backup? Why aren't the other teams going after him? Wel......... Rams - They have the first pick and are more then likely taking Bradford, who most see as a franchise QB Browns - Already made 2 trades for 2 potential starters this offseason after dumping their last 2 QBs Raiders - Still have Russell and are not looking very hard for another QB (They went after Mcnabb because he was a veteran with winning experience and would be an instant upgrade) Arizona - The already have Leinart and brought in Anderson Minneosota - Still waiting to see if Favre wants 1 more year Jacksonville - Still have Garrard and may be looking at grabbibg Tebow in the draft Carolina - There are reports that they may be interested, and they released Delhomme cause they feel Matt Moore is the new starter Not saying he is going to be a Pro Bowler, but if the choice is to get a young experienced veteran QB with upside for a mid to late pick, freeing up the early part of the draft for other positions, or have to use a #1 or 2 pick on a QB in this draft, what would be better?
  24. Who says that bringing in Campbell for say a 4th or 5th means he is annointed starter? He is just another veteran option to come in and compete for the job. Thats what Chan and Buddy want, no one is given a job on this team, they all have to compete for their spots. If Trent can beat out Campbell and Fitz, he will be the starter. If Brohm can beat them all out, he starts. If Campbell really is the best option, he will start. Its not rocket science, its Football, and the coaches are looking for the best players to start
