Does Naaman Roosevelt make the team?
apuszczalowski replied to Beans90's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say no, he doesn't make the final roster, but he will be put on the practice squad most likely, unless he really thrills them during training camp. Most UDFAs end up guys on the practice squad for a year or 2 -
Gints apparently wanted Moats

The Giants must hate the Bills now, wasn't there talk that they were trying to get Spiller in the 1st too? -
I guess the Bills are not as High on Evans
apuszczalowski replied to Billsfan=pain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am assuming you were not one of the ones who was loving the Owens move last year then. That guy is considered a hall of famer and had lead the league in dropped passes -
Even Oakland is PWNING the Bills
apuszczalowski replied to Curse Of Rusty Jones's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I bet you he can't, seeing as how he isn't on their roster He was onl signed for the remainder of last season IIRC -
Round 5, Pick #140: OT Ed Wang - Virgina Tech
apuszczalowski replied to ax4782's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, he obviously doesn't, like about 90% of the people here Obviously this was a move made only to sell jerseys. We all know that the best selling jersey this offseason is going to be WANG, even if he doesn't make the roster. Anyone sending him messages to pick #69? -
All 3 have different styles, and I believe the plan is to use them when their styles dictate. Spiller is going to be returning kicks and or Punts with McKelvin, and will also be used as a receiver sometimes. He will get enough touches of the ball without taking many away from Lynch and Jackson, plus having the extra weapon at RB will take some of the pressure off of the passing game

Just like when the Bills drafted McGahee, theres another trend starting with RBs. Back when they took Willis, they wanted to run a tandem with the RB's with a 1a/1b system. Before that, teams typically had a starter, and then a guy or 2 that may come in and spell the starter for a play or 2 once in a while. Now, almost every team has a 2 back system. Some teams are now going to 3 backs, like the Giants did a couple seasons ago (wasn't it Earth, Wind, and Fire?). Why does everyone think this automatically means they have to move someone? Haven't people been begging the Bills to become more of a power running team?

All 3 can compete for the starting job. Personally I think getting Clausen in the 2nd would have been a good move just cause he was a projected high first rounder who fell into their lap and has the talent to be a starter right away, but I'm not mad about it, I'm not a NFL GM, nor do I think I could be. It would have just been a move that you hope works out cause he has 1st round talent, but you got him in the second. I don't think they should take anyone in the draft now, unless they have the potential to start this year. If they are a project, its a waste cause they already have a project in Brohm make a move for someone like Campbell, or Troy Smith, or Big Ben (if he's really an option), or see if a guy like Quin might be available from Denver

Nix's Comment . . . Bad News
apuszczalowski replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its great when you are a constant favorite and your only needs are for depth purposes. The Pats can move around and trade down cause they don't have to rely on drafting guys to come in and start immediatly. They can come in and take guys that they can take time to develop and not rush into the lineup. its one of the perks with being a good team. How many teams the last decade have been trading up into the top 10? -
Fred Jackson will be the odd man out...
apuszczalowski replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EXACTLY The other RB's are camp fodder, and Lynch, Jackson, and Spiller will be used equally when their personal talents dictate. Spiller is also going to be used all over the field. I think Jackson will be more of the "workhorse" carrying the ball, Lynch will be used when they need the power, and spiller will be used to make catches and when trying to "break a long one", plus Spiller will probably be used on either Punt returns or kickoffs, with McKelvin doing the other (probably kickoffs). If this makes anyone more expendable, its probably Parrish, since this gives them another return threat -
Nix going to trade for LT?
apuszczalowski replied to Green Lightning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, he has alwas had the knock on being a player who lacked motivation and was lazy, but because he is talented, he can get by He may be available, but the Ravens aren't just going to give him away and they are going to get what they want or keep him, theres no cap this year so theres no need to move him -
You obviously have never watched football if you think that a LT is going to solve the Bills problems. THE BILLS HAD A PRO BOWL LT, WITH HIM AND THEN WITH A REVOLVING DOOR OF SCRUBS, THEY STILL ENDED UP WITH THE SAME RECORD. The Bills aren't going to get some immediate pro bowl starter in the fourth round right now and they aren't going to fix everything in one offseason

Ten trades their 4th + Lendale White for Seattle's 4th
apuszczalowski replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone has been wanting to see the Bills focus on being more of a "power running team", so why try and move Lynch? They now have 3 very good RB's that each give the Bills something different. if you can't get a deal that blows you away for Lynch, why move him? -
A Quick Fact About Rounds 4-7 Quarterbacks
apuszczalowski replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, but the only reason I agree with not making the pick for a QB now is that these guys are going to be "project QBs" and the bills already have a project in Brohm. If the Qb isn't going to come in and play/make an impact this year, wait til next year and use an early pick on one. The best option now wouold be to make a move for someone like Campbell, Troy Smith, Big Ben (if truly available), or maybe even Brady Quinn (if the Broncos want to move a QB now). Someone who can come in and compete for the starting job this year. The Bills don't need another project QB. They also have some players that can now be expendable after this draft that can be used in a trade like Lynch (if they don't want to go with 3 RB's), Stroud (he's better suited for a 4-3 and doesn't seem happy with the 3-4 change but willing to go along with it), maybe move a LB like Mitchell or even try to move a return man like Parrish. -
They probably should, i bet it was past yours and their bed times You get in trouble when you draft for need. Who says Lynch has to be moved? A trend seems to be moving towards teams using 3 backs now. The Bills need offensive play makers just as much as Linemen and QB's.

Our Running Back Triumvirate mirrors Dallas
apuszczalowski replied to fairfaxbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems like the NFL is begining to move towards having 3 rbs, just like it did about a decade ago when everyone started to pick up 1a and 1b rbs -

I don't have a problem keeping all 3, they all have different styles and only help the offence. -
Time to become a Denver fan
apuszczalowski replied to The Chief Corky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only one QB was taken so far after the Bills pick, its not like they missed much so far, they took one of the best players available in the entire draft at #9 -
They don't have much when it comes to needs, so they can keep trading down and collecting picks. Its just that simple. When you are good, you aren't rebuilding, you can move around and try your luck later on with guys who don't have to start day one.

Any news on the Jason Campbell front?
apuszczalowski replied to Lintyfresh85's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When you currently have the flu, having a cold is a step up and much more pleasant. -
Look at a team like the Colts, they don't wheel and deal and still draft at the bottom of the rounds every year and stay competitive too. Its not where you draft, its how/what you draft. Don't draft specifically for need, Best player available is better then best player available at the that time at a needed position.

Or, it means that they don't think that Buffalo is a big enough draw right now that people outside of the market where the teams playing come from will want to watch the game. Is someone in NYC really going to get excited to watch Minneosota vs Buffalo on Monday night?
