apuszczalowski replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess he is better then TO then, seeing as how TO has had no interest and still on the market -
Schobel says he's not coming back
apuszczalowski replied to yall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schobel is contemplating retirement, he sold his house in Buffalo and wants his family to stay in Houston, obviously that is screaming he wants to be traded -
Schobel says he's not coming back
apuszczalowski replied to yall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From what I was reading, he is tired of playing for new coaching staffs and wants to be close to his family. He says to play, he wants time off during the week to go back home to be with his family and the new coaching staff doesn't really want to do that. He never said he wants to be traded, it just seems like he has lost his passion for the game and doesn't want to make the decision to retire. He wants someone/something to determine it for him, i.e. the Bills telling him he isn't needed and can retire. -
Chargers sign LT Tra Thomas
apuszczalowski replied to Pirate Angel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
doesn't the amount of the tender decrease if a player doesn't sign it before the June 15 deadline? I thought I read it somewhere that its something that automatically happens. He is definitly an option if the Bills medical staff don't see the spine condition as a big issue affecting his play. I would rather see them make a move for him then Gaither cause he doesn't seem to have work ethic issues, and if anything, with Nix's ties to SD, it could very likely be the direction they go if they feel that they need a better option at LT. I'm more shocked that posters here aren't screaming more over the fact that the Bills didn't run out and sign Thomas and let SD get him. I'VE HEARD OF HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Did anyone hear me on Shredd and Ragan?
apuszczalowski replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spotted Dick? He really jumped on accepting that quickly didn't he? Yes I did hear you on the radio today, it was broadcast just before 5:30 here. i didn't hear any shout outs to the board though, that was kind of rude -
Does the Wang injury force a move?
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBlood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes you actually believe this? They had basically this exact same o-line last year and yet they won 6 games (and were in many others they could have won) -
Does the Wang injury force a move?
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBlood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
or what it says is that the offence had no play makers and was unbearble with its inability to score points. This team ended the last few years with the same record when they had a Pro Bowl LT and a Revolving Door at LT. Your line just has to be good/serviceable to have success -
Does the Wang injury force a move?
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBlood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wang is listed as the 3rd string LT right now, so of course losing Wang now forces the Bills to cave into whatever demands Baltimore has for an unmotivated, and lazy starter LT! -
For Arguments Sake, IF Edwards Looks Great
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really? cause I saw them end the season in about the same spot in the stadnings, and drafting around the same area -
For Arguments Sake, IF Edwards Looks Great
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is it that people don't get about this, just getting a decent LT isn't going to do anything without better play from other positions. The Bills had a Pro Bowler playing LT for them before and the results were the same from when he was here and when he left and the Bills had a revolving door there last year. As for Gaither, the guys biggest knock is that he is lazy and lacks motivation. Thats one of the biggest reasons the fans ran Peters out of town. Now with Lynch, why is everyone assuming that the Seahawks are so interested in getting him, and the Bills are so desperate to get rid of him? Teams are starting to move towards playing 3 RB's. The Giants did it a few years ago with "Earth Wind and Fire", the Cowboys are doing it this year, the Redskins appear like they could (and are looking at possibly adding Westbrook right now). The Seahawks already have a couple of RB's and aren't in dire need to have to go out and overpay for one -
Why does everyone care? The fans and media in Buffalo have been running him out of town since last season, and now that he isn't in town, they are all complaining about him not being here, why? So they can run him out of town in person? He's a RB, its not like the position is rocket science. Its either the ball is going to you and you are running right, left, or up the middle, OR you are going out to block The guy is taking a big chance not being here cause if he doesn't look good on the field, everyone will continue to run him out of here for not being here now

Aww, c'mon, theres lots to do in Stevensville now that its summer, Zooz (Sorry, Safari Niagara) is now open! No one has ever confused Buffalo as the party capitol of the world, and except to see phenom pitchers playing their last minor league game, no one is packing minor league stadiums on a week night, besides NY and Boston, not many major league stadiums are packed on week nights

Six month Assessment of Nix Gailey regime
apuszczalowski replied to bigskyfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No I don't If Nix and Gailey were here and a major part of the last 10 years, then i could agree, but this is a new group of guys with different plans trying to turn the team around -
Well, they definitly did alot of "insider" digging and research to figure this all out. Lets see, 1) Seattle makes a "splash" at the draft getting White, and a few weeks later, dump him for nothing 2) Rumors are made saying that the Seahawks tried to obtain Lyunch at the Draft, but the Bills said they aren't interested in making adeal 3) Buffalo has 3 RB's and the fans are ready to volunteer to drive him out of town because he hasn't showed up to the VOLUNTARY OTA's 4) Since Seattledropped a RB who was viewed as a starter, they obviously need another one 5) Therefore, Lynch would be a perfect fit for Seattle and they should trade for him, even though I believe that would put them in the same position as the Bills with 3 potential starting RB's (Forsett, Washington, Lynch)

Chad Ochocinco is at it again...
apuszczalowski replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He seems like a good guy, he doesn't get in trouble off the field like others, and he actually tries to have fun playing a GAME that most of us would do for free if asked, Yet the league is always trying tohold him down cause he isn't "proffesional" -
Thats all in your opinion. QB - Edwards, Fitzpatrick, Brohm, and Brown Edwards had the fans optimisium up just over a year ago thinking he was the saviour, now he is useless trash. Fitzpatrick has shown he is atleast a very capable #2 who can fill in as a starter when needed. Brohm was a potential 1st rounder just 2 years ago, and has some potential, he hasn't had much time to show it yet. Brown is atleast a project that they can work with over the next few years. TheFront office didn't feel that they needed to upgrade because they probably didn't know exactly what they had due to the last coaching staff. Unless you are willing tobelieve that the system the Bills used on offence was a good one that the players were just so bad that they couldn't execute it. They don't have a set LT yet, but have some prospects at this point totry and build off of. If Meredith doesn't win the starting spot at LT, he will go back to RT where he did hold his own and play decent for a young player. Bell is a project that has the potential and atleast needs some more time to develop. LT is a question mark right now, but as Nix said when he started, and around the draft, they can't fix it all in one offseason. And remind me again of the Bills success when they had a great Pro Bowl LT named jason Peters compared to last year when they had a revolving door at LT? At WR they have alot of unknowns at this point. The only known one is Evans at #1. Theres still Hardy, a 2nd round pick who spent most of the year hurt, The Boards favorite in Stevie "Future HOFer" Johnson, The possibility of a coaching staff that might use Roscoe correctly or atleast get more out of him, Spiller can be used as a WR, and they picked up a couple of decent WR's in the draft that could have an impact. no pass rush? how do you know that with alot of players playing different positions then last year in a completly new system that everyone was scream and B8tching for all year!

Six month Assessment of Nix Gailey regime
apuszczalowski replied to bigskyfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Horrible job and should be fired, He has yet to lead us to a Super bowl victory! Heck, He has yet to put together a team thats been able to get the Bills 1 freakin win! Worst GM ever in the history of the NFL. Period. Too bad theres so many Homers brain washed by cheapo Ralph and the front office that will say we should wait to see them play in a game until we assess what he has done so far -
Is there a market for Marbong?
apuszczalowski replied to Sisyphean Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
maybe, IF THE BILLS WERE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN TRADING HIM AWAY -
had they kept the defence the same as last year, I would have agreed with you, for the last few years, the offence has been this teams weakest links, unlike the belief of some around here. There were many games they could have won last year had the Bills offence actually showed up to play or was half way competent. But now with the Bills having a seamingly competent offensive minded coach, I think the offence will improve, but with installing a completly different defence now that requires a completly different type of players, i see the defence having to take a few steps back to move forward. Theres one bright spot though, I don't think it is possible for the offence to take anymore steps back so the only way it can go is forward!

Kyle Orton on The Trade Block?
apuszczalowski replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I had the choice, I wouldlet them keep Orton and go for Quinn. Atleast Quinn has more upside With Orton, you get what you've seen -
There may also be a small little thing like the fact that the Bills are not switching to a full 100% 3-4 defence, they are going to run a Hybrid 3-4/4-3 defence so they will need 3-4 and 4-3 DT's

You guys realise that this show is barely a step up above Canadian "Cable Access" TV? Its a cheap Toronto show sponsored by Casino Rama thats shown on a station thats barely staying alive. The host also wears sweater vest alot. Listening to them discuss "American" football wouldbe like listening to an ESPN analyst evaluate cricket

Five Reasons The Bills Should Sign................
apuszczalowski replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, and as for Charles Rogers, I think the Seahawks just had him and someone else in with a bunch of other "draft busts" that they have given a second chance to. -
Five Reasons The Bills Should Sign................
apuszczalowski replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Theres no downside to taking a chance on him. He isn't going to cost alot and could probably be signed for a year or 2 at a veteran minimum because he isn't going to get many offers for a second chance. The guy does have some great athletic ability, something that can't be taught. Maybe this whole situation will help him change and he will get into better shape and become determined to show everyone they were wrong calling him "the greatest all time bust" Everyone needs to calm down, no one is saying to give him a huge deal and gaurantee him the starting job. People are just saying to bring him in for a look, maybe he works out, and if he doesn't, let him go. he does have some talent, you don't play college ball and make it into the NFL without some talent. as for the coaches, their job is to work with players, and they have coaches whose entire job is to work with the QB's and make them into NFL QB's. So instead of wasting their time working with trying to turn Russell into an NFL QB, they are supposed to waste their time trying to make something out of Fitzpatrick and Edwards? Its not like Russell came from an NFL powerhouse with great coaching and a great environment to exceed. Maybe a change of scenery would help. Although this is Buffalo, Manning (either one) or Brady could get cut right now and signed by the Bills and people would complain that theywere junk cause they were let go (an no, theres no way I am comparing Russell to Manning or Brady) -
I was at the Saints game, and beforethen my friend, who is a Cowgirls fan told me to watch him, cause you will know if its a pass or a run by his body language when he lines up
