Yet another unexplainable move
apuszczalowski replied to vegas55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he did, but don't let facts get in the way of Bills fan ramblings. Also too, if you offered him a ton of money he would have stayed So who do you put on the bench to get Incognito into games, Wood or Levitre? The Bills didn't need any guards, and Richie may have still taken less money to get off a team he never wanted to play for to take a starting job instead of a backup job. What has Incognito done for the Dolphins o-line that would have made him such a huge improvement to the Bills o-line? -
Five Myths That Continue To Pervade TSW
apuszczalowski replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think I will wait til after week 4 to say the Chiefs are a "model franchise" for rebuilding. Its funny how everyone is now looking at teams like the Chiefs, Lions, Rams, Bucs, Raiders, etc as teams that are doing a good job of rebuilding. How many years this last decade have those teams had the chance to draft in the top 5? top 10? Even the 49ers had to spend many seasons picking top 10 only to get back to being 0-4 this year when they were being looked at as a playoff team this offseason. Everyone hoping the Bills tank the season to get the #1 pick so they can get some saviour college QB, how well has that worked out for teams this decade? There seems to be more "busts" taken #1 overall then team saviours. How many Alex Smith's, Jamarcus Russell's, David Carr's, etc are there compared to Peyton Mannings? Bradford is too early to tell, A couple more hits and Stafford may have to retire early with no shoulder..... It doesn't matter where they draft, it matters more on who they draft. There are great players at every spot in the draft, they just have to get the right ones and find guys that will help the team wherever they draft. -
Yup, but like usual, hindsight kicks in and everyone now wants to know why he wasn't kept. He looked good taking over the team last year, but everyone wanted him gone cause he didn't run the unstopable 3-4 defence that we had to change to. One of the biggest reasons for the 0-4 start and the way the team is looking right now (besides the fact that the schedule was tough enough on paper playing MIA, GB, NE, and NYJ) is that they decided to change everything at once. They had a decent defence last year that was good enough to keep them in games, but an offence that was inept and cost them games. if they would have kept the defence the same and focused on the offence this offseason, they would be alot further along................................ but we would be running the unstopable 3-4

The Bills offered to bring in Brian Shottenheimer for an interview for the HC position and he declined cause he wanted to stay and work with the Jets, why do people think that he and his dad would have been interested in coaching in Buffalo? I thought Marty said he wasn't really interested in coaching again. Your right that Ralph won't spend the money on a "proven HC", its not like they spoke to Shanahan or Cowher about the Job

Trade or Cut Evans and Whitner
apuszczalowski replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Besides the one play where Donte was deaked out of his shorts by LT (he isn't this first one to have that happen to him) on the TD run, he has been playing alright and is not a problem. people need to stop with the "Cut Donte cause hes not a Pro Bowler" posts every week. As for Evans, I think he is better suited as a #2 or maybe a #1b. But right now not many WR would have much success with the rest of the WR's on the Bills this year. Evans dropped about as many as Stevie "HOFer before playing a game" Johnson did early on. Johnson only picked up his game late in the 4th when it was already over, just like the pre-season, he played best when the game is meaningless -
Can't be angry at Galey yet
apuszczalowski replied to offyourocker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you people really think that Ralph doesn't care about the fans and that he doesn't want this team to get better? If building a football team is as easy as the fans here think, every team would be playoff caliber every season. IF RALPH ONLY CARED ABOUT MAKING MONEY AND NOT ABOUT BUFFALO AND THE FANS, HE WOULD HAVE MOVED THE TEAM OUT OF BUFFALO ALONG TIME AGO -
Like Rothleisberger, right?

Pittsburgh isn't winning games because of their offence or QB play, they are winning because their defence is one of the best and is shutting down other teams. Having a great QB makes a bad o-line much better, having a great o-line won't make up for having a mediocre QB. Having a dominant Defence makes up for having an inept offence. The Ravens, Jets, and Steelers have all won games (past or present) because they have defences that can dominate opposing teams offences Right now the Bills don't have a great o-line, or a great QB that can make up for that. They also don't have a dominating defence that can make up for an inept offence and thats why they are 0-2 right now. its still early, when the defence gets more experience in the new system, and if Gailey can get the offence clicking a bit, the Bills will be back to a .500 team this year and moves will be made this offseason to build off of what they have, now that they have a better idea of what they need and who isn't going to work in their new systems. Some teams can rebuild quicker, for the short term, by throwing money around (Redskins, Jets), some have to rely on a slower rebuild process through the draft and trying to find "diamonds in the rough" in FA. When a team has to change members of its coaching staff it just ends up taking longer cause new coaches means new systems

Vicks Back at QB + Bell = More Wins
apuszczalowski replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You aren't going to get anything of serious value for Lynch. Decent RB's are a dime a dozen, there are plenty of decent RB's that can be found on PS's and FA. They weren't going to get a decent LT for him. For all we know Bell could be just another Pre-Season HOFer that doesn't do much in the regular season -
No, it shows more that the coaching staff didn't see a huge talent game between the QB's in the "QB competition" and it was more of a "tallest midget contest"

Houston is 2-0 if they make the playoffs....
apuszczalowski replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It only took them 8 years to make the playoffs? I thought you could rebuild a team overnight? especially when you can get so many top 5 picks! -
LT Chad Clifton for RB Marshawn Lynch?
apuszczalowski replied to Fitzmagic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The majority of the Bills Front Office has changed since the Lynch pick, they wouldn't have to admit anything But I do agree they aren't going to give him away unless they are getting a deal that will blow them away -
LT Chad Clifton for RB Marshawn Lynch?
apuszczalowski replied to Fitzmagic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd make that deal -
LT Chad Clifton for RB Marshawn Lynch?
apuszczalowski replied to Fitzmagic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why? He deserved making it to the Probowl when he did and only had one bad year whenhe missed 4 games due to suspension. We can use pro Bowl when describing Peters but not Lynch? -
There were atleast 3 coaches that actually said no. 1) Shanahan cause he was already getting the Washington Job 2) Shottenheimer (the son) cause he wanted to stay and finish the job with the jets 3) Cowher cause he didn't want to get back into coaching yet, he was the one that recommended Gailey to the Bills There were rumors about Marty S, but he didn't seem to eager to get back into coaching, and then they interviewed Fewell and the guy from the Vikings Theres not a chance in hell Gailey gets fired in his first season, unless the Bills expected him to make the playoffs in his first year. They knew that this was going to bea rough year and that its going to be a rebuilding time. The Bills don't need another coaching change and another coach to step in with new schemes and systems.

[Please fix coaching] Houston deserves to lose.
apuszczalowski replied to DC Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You do what you have to do to win games, its a legal move, and it led to his team getting the chance to win the game in OT -
LT Chad Clifton for RB Marshawn Lynch?
apuszczalowski replied to Fitzmagic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pro bowl RB for an old injured, benched LT. Why are you not the GM?!?!?!?!?! -
I don't recall seeing Sanchez do that either. Just cause he was the QB it doesn't mean he led them anywhere, Football is a team game

Brian Brohm, state your case..

I say why not, I don't think anyone has seen enough of him in actual game situations to say that he is a complete bust yet -
Little doubt our O-Line is the NFL's worst now
apuszczalowski replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That right there is the key, a good Qb will make up for a bad o-line more then a good o-line making up for a bad QB. The reason why Rodgers and Rothlisberger make their o-lines look better and succeed is because other teams have to respect them. They can't just rush the QB with everyone or stack everyone up at the line to stop the run and force the QB to try and beat them because chances are, Rogers and Ben will beat them with their arms. Trent doesn't strike any fear in opposing teams defences so they will bring everyone up to play the run or rush Trent because he is not a threat to beat them The Bills o-line is a work in progress, theres some potential there, but still needs some work. There weren't too many FA options out there that would have been an imediate improvement, and putting some rookies in there right now forcing them to start isn't going to make them any better either right now. The Bills are still a work in progress and will get better with some time as they adjust to the new coaches and schemes. But you can't expect an instant turn around from them because they tried to change too much this offseason by not only trying to change an offence that was one of the worse, but also completly revamp their defence and change over their special teams in one year The problem with Trent is that he is not a top level QB, and he hasn't shown any signs of having the ability to ever become more then a medicore QB who can play not to lose. No one can say that they have actually felt confident when the Bills have been behind, that Trent can rally the team and make the plays to bring them back -
Or you could just put your seatbelt back on before you touch the gas again, just saying
