If the Bills go 1-15 ...
apuszczalowski replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm done defending this FO and coaching staff, I defended them up until last night, when i held out hope and believed these guys had a plan and were trying to win games But today it became apparent that this year is a complete throw away year and that they are just continuing the Pre-season and using this year to see what they have, setting back the rebuild another year The Trent and Lynch moves could have been made during the offseason and things could have been done to help move the rebuild along, instead, they waste 1/4 of the season and continue to look like they don't know what they want to do anymore -
Trade a safety to Indy or Green Bay

I agree with you on keeping Whitner, people make him sound worse then he really is and want to run him out of town just because he was taken at #8 and isn't a Pro bowler and not the guy "they" wanted. Its just like how everyone ran Lynch out of town, they convinced themselves that he sucks because they are afraid he would get in trouble again and be suspended for a year. He's a 2 time Pro bowler and is a very good RB. I disagree however with the bolded part, the DB's now, weither its the new system or the players in front of them, but the DB's have not looked good at all this year and would not call them a "strength". 4 games, no INT's yet, plenty of times getting burnt by other teams WR's......... -

We don't know what kind of deal Cameron had with the Dolphins. I doubt Ralph told Nix and Gailey they had to improve this team in one offseason, He seems like the kind of guy who doesn't react too quickly and tries to let guys work things out for themselves. I believe he hired Nix and gailey looking towards the future. Nix starts the rebuild and hands the reigns over to Whaley in a couple years while they rebuild cheaply through the draft and low level FA's -
There, fixed it

Meredith was replaced by that other o-linemen they picked up from Seattle I believe Kawika was on IR so i don't think he opens up a spot Trent was replaced with Levi Brown Lynch's spot could be used for Nelson, if they don't make a move with one of the current TE's and if he is dressed for this week (they could get a roster exemption for him if he isn't ready to play because he also had surgery during his suspension)

This is a fire sale

Is it really? Did you see the offence last year with jackson as the starter? -
If the Bills go 1-15 ...
apuszczalowski replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They will not go after only one year, unless they give up and decide to quit/retire These are the guys that are here to stay for atleast another 2-3 years. They never had any plans to succeed this year or do anything but evaluate players on the roster, its a throw away year -
Anyone willing to bet the Pats get atleast a 1st for him, probably more? The Vikes are desperate for an improvement at WR for Favre, and its the Pats we are talking about here, they don't have a reason to have to give him away for nothing

The REAL trade Buffalo made...
apuszczalowski replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Seahawks have a bunch of backs, Cowboys have 3 RB's this season, the Giants used "Earth, Wind, & Fire" in their Superbowl year........... -
Okay so do we need to trade Lee Evans now?
apuszczalowski replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why not? They have already given up on the season and have declared that they are in complete Overhaul mode (something that could have been done in the offseason). Might as well send him for whatever someone will give you and stockpile those picks to get more future trade bait or to restock the waiver wire! -
The REAL trade Buffalo made...
apuszczalowski replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if he learned his lesson and runs for over 1,000 yards and 10 TD's for the next 5 years? What if Spiller has maybe one good year as a RB and becomes merely just a good return guy? So far Spiller has been great as a return guy, but as a RB he is a liability out there when he isn't given the ball cause he blocks worse then Betty White out there This deal also cost the Bills Joique Bell, if it was made sooner they could have kept him on their active roster instead of giving him away to the Eagles -
Lynch trade should start domino effect
apuszczalowski replied to Drew026's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, but the Bills could get a very valuable 4th round pick for him that they could use to draft another immediate starter from the 4th rounder, only at the cost of a previous 1st! -
Is there anyone worth signing for our open roster spots?
apuszczalowski replied to DUFF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And Maroney doesn't compare on the field to Lynch. Its like comparing what the chargers got for Cromartie and compare it to what the Bills could get for trading Ashton Youbouty The Bills decide to trade Lynch after they lose Joique bell, they could have atleast ditched him sooner so they could have kept him around -

Thats the idea, draft guys high, sell low and collect draft picks until we have them all!!!!!!! Building with high draft picks have allowed many teams to pull themselves up from the NFL basement quickly, like the Lions, Raiders, Browns and 49ers just to name a few -
Why Rebuilding Has Taken a Decade +
apuszczalowski replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But its not like the Bills are the only team looking for a "franchise QB", they don't grow on trees, and plenty of teams have gone through the process many times without success. Look at Clevland, Tampa, Oakland, Miami (is Henne really the answer? Safe to say they have been searching since Marino), Minneosota (Favre is only a stop gap, he won't be around much longer), Detroit (how much more of a beating can Stafford take?) San Fransico, Washington (How many years does McNabb have left?) Jacksonville...... All of those teams have either spent many years searching for a "franchise QB" and still continue to look, or have found a decent stop gap, but not a future QB -
when is enough enough? WHENEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE NO ONE IS FORCING YOU/HOLDING A GUN TO YOUR HEAD TO BE A FAN OF THIS TEAM IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, LEAVE, ITS EASY, ITS SIMPLE, AND IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL 1 000 000x's BETTER And you can't keep throwing out the "10 years of rebuilding" line, the current guys in charge were not a part of those 10 years, you can't blame them for what went on before them. AND IF ALL RALPH CARED ABOUT IS MAKING MONEY AND NOT WINNING, HE WOULD HAVE MOVED THIS TEAM DECADES AGO

What are they supposed to do, tie him down and force him to play where he doesn't want to? -
Five Myths That Continue To Pervade TSW

Well a season is 16 games................ But you are right, the GM and coach should immediatly turn around a franchise in one offseason installing a new offence and defence -
Five Myths That Continue To Pervade TSW
apuszczalowski replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He did that already, he hired Tom Donahoe, a football guy in the Pittsbugrgh organisation I don't think it worked out well for him and the fans ran him out of town in no time Gailey and Nix have been given 4 games, yeah, lets blow it up again 1/4 of the way through year 1 of their rebuild -

apuszczalowski replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cards, Seahawks, Jags, and Bengals are all 2-2 (Bucs 2-1) Panthers and one of the pics for a playoff contender, the 49ers, both 0-4 along with Detroit Texans have spent how long building their team? How long has it been since the Chiefs were a playoff caliber team? Almost all of those teams, including the 1-3 Raiders and Browns have all spent plenty of high picks and plenty of years drafting top 5/top 10 trying to rebuild and haven't found continuous success. Its not easy to build an NFL team, unless of course your an armchair GM with the gift of Hindsight Its not always because of Ego, some coaches or GM's just have their own systems that they are more familiar with and better at then others. Even some of the best coaches and GM's could fail if they were forced to use a system they weren't familiar with. The problem is that fans want quick turn arounds and unless you have an unlimited budget, thats not always easy to do. Sometimes Luck can play a huge part in it, like being in the position to get to draft a Peyton Manning, or finding a Tom Brady late in the draft -
Yet another unexplainable move
apuszczalowski replied to vegas55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does everyone know that the problem is Ralph? How many players/coaches have said that? Cowher didn't want to coach the Bills so much that he recommended the guy that the Bills hired and turned down other teams interested in bringing him back You know this for a fact? Sometimes even money won't get a player to want to play somewhere. The Bills are happy with Hangartner at C and Wood at Guard, so Incognio would have been a backup. You know for a fact that Incognito would have been happy to take more money to play a backup role instead of taking a little less but given a chance to start? Sorry, but I would rather have guys that want to play as a starter over guys just willing to collect a big paycheck sitting on the bench -

apuszczalowski replied to vegas55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills switched to the 3-4 this offseason, Wasn't Wake signed by Miami before the 2009 season? 31 other teams whiffed on signing Cameron Wake too Are you saying Incognito is better then Wood? They replaced Incognito with Wood. People are treating Incognito like he came in here and did something huge. He filled a void on the Bills o-line after being cut by the Rams, he isn't a Pro Bowler and not better then the Bills current starting guards -
Yet another unexplainable move
apuszczalowski replied to vegas55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And we know that Wood is such an upgrade over Hangartner at Centre? Is Incognito/Wood/Levitre a huge improvement over Wood/Hangartner/Levitre? Is keeping a disgrunted Incognito a better option? -
Yet another unexplainable move

Yeah, cause his choice was Buffalo or out of the league. He signed in Miami to be a starter.
