Apparently he does
-
But thats their point, then he would have had to play RG for the Bills weither he was happy about it or not, or he would have to sit out or force them to let him go
-
But the sky is falling and Wood was replaced by someone for some time, therefore he is demoted

Top 10? They sqeaked into the playoffs last year in the 7th seed in the East, (15th overall in the league, they wouldn't have made the playoffs if they were in the west) How are they now a top 5 team trending upward? Cause they spent a ton of money on a new centre who has yet to play an NHL game at Centre? was it signing a defencemen most of his previous teams fans had no problem seeing leave to a contract that will make him the highest paid in the league at his position? i know, it was bringing back Kotalik They did something different this offseason and spent a ton, but the results have yet to be seen if it was spending for the sake of spending, or if it was money well spent -

And to do that, the team had to go through a long stretch of "Building through the draft", not signing any big name FA's (even there own, some guys that they had drafted and developped too) because they had an owner who operated the team to ensure that they would survive in Buffalo. It wasn't until this offseason when they had a very wealthy fan come in and buy the team and throw money around that they were actually active after july first (and not just in the bargain Bin/scrap heap section of FA). So far, the 'throw money around' FA method used this offseason has yet to produce a championship team. Everyone always take shots at Dan Snyders way of building a team in Washington, but thats basically what they want to see from a guy like Pegula -

What about Wood Demoted for some time in Saturdays game? Or maybe Bills to try new o-line with Levitre playing every position?

Seriously, Bills fans are becoming the biggest, whinest, cry babies of the league. You are complaining now that they took to long to put in a new turf? Everyone here were kicking and screaming about Maybin still being on the team this year, they release him and its more kicking and screaming about how they couldn't have traded him cause he was a 1st rounder, they took to long to do it, he never should have been the pick, or that they gave up on him too quickly cause he got a sack and forced fumble for the jets in garbage time of a pre-season game. People wanted to see Evans/lynch/McGahee traded because they felt Stevie Johnson/Fred jackson/Marshawn lynch played better and theyweren't needed, then when traded its all complaints cause they didn't get enough for them. The defence was horrible last year and the kicking and screaming was about how the offence was good enough to win games but the defence was horrible, so they use the draft almost all on the defence and everyone complains that they didn't use picks on the o-line too. The bills run a 4-3 or Tampa 2 defence and its all complaints about how all the good teams run 3-4s, they switch to a 3-4 and everyone expects instant success with it. Poz and Whitner are viewed as bust or not good enough, the positions need upgrading, they become FA's and sign elsewhere and its all about how they were valuable to the defence and should have been kept (well not so much about whitner) Whitner tweets that he guarantees the Bills to make the playoffs (something most people would look at as optimisum and a good thing) and people want to run him out of town. Stevie tweets about how he wonders why God would make him drop a game winning TD pass and everyone rallies around him.

they offered him more (apparently) then what Atlanta offered, but it was enough for him to be comfortable to stay where where he was and not have to uproot his young new family accross the country to Buffalo. its actually refreshing to see an athlete turn down a bigger deal and accept one to stay where they are instead of chasing the bigger deal for a couple more million. Who should the Bills have thrown all of this extra money at to play tackle? Who is out there worth millions still available that doesn't have injury/weight/attitude issues? And enough with the comparisons to Pegula, all he has done so far is come in and throw money around. So far we have not seen any changes in the team at this point because they haven't even played a game. The guy doesn't care if the team makes money or not, he just wants to win. He is a fan who is lucky enough to have the money to own the team. Weither this is a good or bad thing, its hard to say, but it hasn't worked out well for a similar kind of owner in the NFL Dan Snyder -

The line, which isn't much different then what they ended with last year was not as dismal as fans make it out to be. And they didn't sign Smith at the expense of the o-line. They have plenty of cap room to sign all the o-line players they wanted, there is just slim pickings for decent o-line players that aren't available for a reason (injured, grossly overweight/lazy, attitude issues, close to retirement). The front office, like it or not, know that they aren't going to be a contender this year and have taken the approach that they would rather see what they have in some potential players like Bell, Pears, Urbick, Wrotto, Hairston, Reinhardt, etc. instead of signing players that may not be here longer then next year. They went hard after one of the top RT's available this offseason and lost out cause he wanted to stay where he was. After Clabo, there wasn't much else out there thats worth getting excited over. BTW, the only "gadget player" the Bills drafted was Spiller -
Porn?

Her and Paris Hilton made themselves by being born into a wealthy family and having a sex tape "leak out" onto the internet.
-
If I am not mistaken, I believe they traded up because the talk was the Giants were going to taken them with the last pick in rd 1 before Buffalo had the chance to use their second on him. The problem shouldn't be where he was drafted, he wasn't that far off from where the "experts" had him placed, but more about him just flat out underperforming which may have been because he had better players around him in college to make him look better
-
So if he was picked 7 picks later, that would have been OK because then he would have been taken right around where the "Draft Experts" thought he should go.
-
Wow, what an interesting new revelation you are on to. So you are saying that maybe fans sure turn their displeasure towards Rlph because he is cheap and won't spend money on high priced big name FA's that we have all heard of? I can't believe that has never been brought up before here. As for the Sabres comparrison, The were in play for Richards (in theory, only because it was obvious to about 98% of hockey fans he was going to the Rangers) for part of the first day of FA and then signed Leino, who compared to Richards is a relative nobody. All Regier has shown this offseason is that a. he needs help closing deals to convince players to come to Buffalo, and b. he knows how to throw money around. Not saying that the Sabres won't be good, or maybe a bit better then what they were last season, but they threw around ALOT of money for some guys who may be only mid level players, which is one of the reasons why Nix said he doesn't like going big in FA. You end up overpaying for mid level talent.
-
I keep hearing about how bad this o-line is and how it needs a total overhaul, yet then you see stats like that and I can understand how they would go defence first in this draft and wait til next year to overhaul the offence
-
Please keep this kind of information out of any kind of posts on this board, it has no place in these discussions. Just let them have teir tantrums in piece and complain about how bad the FO is and how they know that a player would have taken a certain amount and how it is only about the money. Please don't through things into the discussion like, "he accepted less to stay in Atlanta because he is familiar with that team, and would prefer not to have to uproot and move accross the country with his brand new family for an extra million or so.

Isn't It Funny ?? Or Did i Miss Something
apuszczalowski replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who said he didn't want them or try to get them? But as a D Co-ordinator, he doesn't get to sign players. He would have to get it to pass through the coach and GM and the teams front office before he can get what he wants -
Maybin can't wait to face the Bills??
apuszczalowski replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it is (He knows maybin from his highschool days in Baltimore) and No they aren't, He cleared Waivers, so the Bills are no longer paying him, whatever they have paid him up til now is what he gets from the Bills (guaranteed money and salary up until last week), now the jets are paying his salary because they signed him to a new deal. And i bet he can't wait to face the Bills, that means he is on the roster and on an NFL team, something not many think is likely to happen, and not something he did much in Buffalo. I could see Rex keeping him around thinking he can teach him and make him into something or just using him in games aganst Buffalo to rub it in their faces. he seems like the kind of @ss who would do something like that -
Levitre demoted / Levitre promoted
apuszczalowski replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has Hangartner played RG at all this pre-season? Didn't Levitre play the 2nd string LG spot when moved, have they used him at RT at all this training camp? If they were going to make those kinds of move, I think they would have put those guys at those spots to see the whole line together during practice. This was nothing more then the coaching staff giving Reinhart a chance to show what he has playing with the 1st stringers because of his play on Saturday and during training camp. -
Levitre demoted / Levitre promoted
apuszczalowski replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No he didn't, he is giving a guy who started showing potential at being an improvement at that position a chance to show what he can do for a practice. ITS HOW THIS TEAM GETS BETTER. Chan said that this isn't because levitre hasn't played well, its because Reinhardt played better. If poor Andy's feeling get hurt because he was demoted for one practice because the guy behind him had played better, thenhe can go ahead, take his blankie and ball and go home. What does this show to the rest of the team? it shows the starters that they have to stay on their toes and play their best at all times cause there may be someone better there to take their spot. It shows the 2nd string guys that if you work hard and show that you might be better then the guy infront of you, you will get a chance to take a starting job. I would hope that if Thigpen showed the coaches that he could play better then Fitz that he would be the starter. I would hope that if McKelvin showed he can play better then mcGee or Florence that he would be the starter. Its Pro Sports, this is how things work, the best players are the ones that are supposed to play. we have people here screaming about kelsay getting an extension "for being a great lockerroom guy/team player, etc", while some are crying about Levitre having his feelings hurt and not being respected because they gave the 2nd string guy a chance with the 1st team because they believed he played better. -
The first thought that comes to mind when hearing he signed with the Jets is that Rex just wants inside info. But when you really sit there and think about it, Do you really think that Rex is afraid of the Bills defence right now and needs that "added help" to stop them? This is a situation where a guy who believes his own hype of being great thinks he can turn around another teams trash into a superstar. Rex really believes he can take Maybin and turn him into what jauron saw him as in College. Like he said, he doesn't need him to be a starter. Rex wants him as a 3rd down rush the passer player. Almost like a gadget player on offence, he expects maybin to be a luxury whos only job when he steps onto the field on 3rd downs is to just run straight at the Qb and try and sack him. unfortunatly for them, if he even showed glimpses of having that potential, the Bills would have kept him and continued to develop him, and I think Rex will soon find this out and turn around and say publically (to save face) that they picked him up to get info on the Bills
-
maybe they are trying to run a new crazy offence where the QB punts the ball, or maybe he was supposed to be working on learning the 'Drop kick" that Flutie brought back? Either that or he feels threatened by them drafting Mallett that he wants to show them he can play other positions, like punter, so he can keep a job on the team?

Nix: Offensive line depth Bills’ main concern
apuszczalowski replied to TheBlackMamba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the only one of those players Bills fans wanted back was Richie, because he had a bad attitude and was none for being dirty, which is what fans want, Jonathan Scott was a starter because a team with an o-line almost as bad as Buffalo had a huge amount of injuries and little options Its funny how we have all been convinced by some that the only way to be a good team is to build a great o-line, yet the 2 teams that played in the Super bowl had o-lines that were below the league average (GB 19th, Pittsburgh 25th, Buffalo was 14th) acocrding to this from NFL.com http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=TM&offensiveStatisticCategory=OFFENSIVE_LINE&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&season=2010&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=true&Submit=Go -
Jets offer Maybin one year deal.
apuszczalowski replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://www.tsn.ca/nfl/story/?id=373950 TSN is saying the same thing, Jets signed him pending a physical I figured they could have probably skipped that clause, He should be in top shape, and is almost in Showroom condition! Barely any miles on 'em, he has barely seen the field
