tell that to Cleveland, Detroit, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, Oakland, Houston, St. Louis, Washington......... There are just as many o-linemen found as UDFA's as there are skill players. Olinemen just don't get recognised as much as skill players. GB won the Super bowl with a line that gave up more sacks then anyone else in the league. Pittsburgh has a Bills castoff playing LT for them who also started in the Super Bowl for them last season. In Arizonas SB, they had another Bills castoff (often refered to around here as a "turnstile") starting on their o-line. You don't have to have a line built with top picks and pro Bowlers to be good. You need to have a good line, with a great QB, something those teams all have/had (Rogers, Ben R, Warner)

Buddy on Shredd and Ragan a few minutes ago
apuszczalowski replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EVANS WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE PAID A COUPLE OF MILLION THIS SEASON (AROUND 3 I BELEIVE?) Why would they need to get rid of him to save that money? Didn't they also pay him his bonus before he was dealt too? If its a cost cutting move, the condition of the deal would be that the Ravens have to pay the bonus, not Buffalo. Evans is getting older, and he has always been a "one trick pony" as being a deep threat. He had some of his best numbers when Losman was the QB, only because Losman was able to air out the ball to him deep. The Bills want their receivers to run crossing routes and Block too, something Evans wasn't going to do, so instead of letting him take up a roster spot for another season of ok play, they decided to do him a favour and move him to a team that was wanting a deep threat and is a contender. this board was filled with posts about trading Evans this offseason because the thought was he didn't fit here anymore and was on the decline. The team makes the move and the board is filled with posts about how dumb a move it was to let him go because he was so great. I'm expecting the same reaction if they get rid of kelsay. Fans scream about how he sucks and want him gone, but the second they let him go and don't get the #1 overall pick for him, it will be posts about how the Bills let him go for nothing and how he should have been kept because he was pretty good. -

Listening to that interview, this is exactly how I saw it playing out on here. No matter what Buddy said, fans here still wouldn't believe a word because if it wasn't what they believe, then its just propaganda from the Bills front office The thing with Nix, is that the guy is very upfront with what he says and doesn't "beat around the bush". The comment he made about Ralph wanting some big name guys but Buddy talking him out of it doesn't surprise me either. Buddy has said from DAY 1 that he does not like going after big names in FA because you always end up overpaying for guys who underperform. His rebuilding plan does not involve quick fixes to get them back to mediocrity, or to keep them in a constant cycle of rebuilding, its to rebuild from the ground up with players they can develop and a team that will stay competitive for more then just a season or 2. They are trying to build a team similar to NE, Indy, Pittsburgh, a team with a solid foundation that is in the playoff hunt every year and only needs tweaks in the offseason instead of rebuilds. They don't want a team like Miami, a team that seems to be in a constant roller coaster of up and down seasons. Buddy right now knows that Ralph has given him some time to do what he feels he needs to do to turn around the franchise, and because of that, he doesn't need to build a team that has to win now or else. look at the up and coming teams right now, Tampa Bay, Detroit, Kansas City, etc. They al had MANY rough years in the basement of the league before they were able to get to where they are going now, and how many would view those teams at the moment as teams that have to win now? -
well, on the practice squad they could still experiment with him on as a NT, but if the FO really wants to get him onto the game day roster, this is probably the best and quickest way to get him there
-
Jasper played on the o-line in college, he has the size to be a NT in the NFL, and I think the FO decided they wanted to see what he could do as a potential NT first in training camp and pre-season. Since he wasn't able to beat out the current players at NT, they have switched him back to what he has played since it should be much easier and quicker for him to get back to playing o-line and provide them some Tackle depth, and maybe try him again at NT next offseason when they will have more time with OTA's and mini camps.

There is a couple in the Toronto area that have decided to keep their children "gender neutral" and gave them non-gender specific names and let them dress themselves however they want so they will not be subject to being influenced by their sex and what society says they should be/do. They are the only ones that know the true sex of their children. We are a society that has to make everything into either a sickness/disease, or claim it is something we are born with. Your 3 year old can't/won't sit still? The have ADD. Your feeling blue today? you suffer from depression. Not saying there aren't people that really have these issues, but diagnosis are thrown around way too much giving people theses ilnesses. Your little boy likes playing dress up and wear pink, he must be a girl trapped in a boys body!

S. Carolina woman bUys block of wood for $180
apuszczalowski replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Driving a car without Rims or Tint?? This sounds suspicious to me, and like the typical "Just say they were black" false crime reports. Also, whats the deal with saying Sale for Sell or sold in the report? Seriously, if ANYONE every approaches you in a parking lot looking to sell you something, its either STOLEN, or a fraud -
I thought it was the games that are on the NFL network were teh ones that they might be streaming live because not all areas could get that channel? Subscribers to the NFL Sunday Ticket can because they are paying a premium to get the games which equals more $$$$ for the NFL. On cable, your aren't paying the NFL anymore money to watch it. Also, with Sunday ticket, I don't think you can get games that are blacked out in your region, they are still blacked out on Sunday Ticket I beat you, I live 30 minutes (if the bridge isn't backed up) from what used to be HSBC arena, and I can't get Sabres games unless I get the Centre Ice Package!

Interesting fact that sheds a lot of light on Bills
apuszczalowski replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thats really not a fair comparrison to make, because Johnson is getting paid as one of the top players in the league. At one point a couple of years ago, the Bills had some of the highest paid o-linemen in the league, and they still sucked (Dockery and Walker) -

CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers add Maybin...
apuszczalowski replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The whole co-ordination thing could be a sign that he has used 'roids to bulk up This is not news, the CFL teams all have "negotiations lists" with almost all NFL players that get released let go. They add players all the time, especially guys that may have potential that won't stick in the NFL. This way if they don't make the NFL, it gives a CFL team their rights to try and sign them -
NFL won't allow that kind of ownership, one person has to hold a majority ownership of a franchise. You don't want Golisano, he might get the distinction of being the only person cheaper then Ralph because its all about teh bottom line for him. pegula only bought the Sabres because he is a huge hockey fan, his interest in football at this point is unknown. I don't see Rogers being interested unless its for a team in Toronto, or theres a deal for them to play games in toronto. They are a Canadian company, can't see them investing in an American team

A confession of love to Emma Stone
apuszczalowski replied to CosmicBills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Is anyone else going to be shocked to find out that they end up being in a movie together that will be released in a couple of months? (I don't know if they are or not, just wouldn't be shocked at all, get some publicity for a future film) 49 is old, and its not "middle age" unless the average lifespan is now atleast 100. -
Who is everyones surprise cut?
apuszczalowski replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It did? Isn't he currently a member of the NFL's Tampa bay team, the Buccaneers? -
The refs or Goodells fault? Good players can be considered dirty too, and its possible that Suh may play a little dirty.

Who is everyones surprise cut?
apuszczalowski replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are a couple of guys mentioned that would be huge surprises because theres no way they will be getting cut. 1. Roscoe - Chan loves him, Roscoe and CJ are the "waterbug" guys they talked about wanting, and Chan has said before that he plans to get Roscoe even more involved in the offence with more plays designed for him this season 2. Kelsay - As much as people hate him here and wish him gone, the front office like this guy and they just gave him an extension, he is here for the long haul 3. Thigpen - Who's the #2 QB? Levi hasn't shown anything more then Thigpen and has no experience in the NFL as a backup. And SMITH IS NOT A BACKUP QB, he is going to be listed as the #3 QB on game days because of the new rule that allows you to substitute in the #3 Qb without having to have your starter out all game. It basically creates a "wildcat" position for all teams, allowing them to have a player on the roster for when they want to line up in the wildcat and not have to keep your starting QB on the field as a WR. 4. Bell - He may not end up as the starting LT if Levitre can play it better, but he isn't going to get cut, who would become the backup LT then? At the worst, he becomes the 2nd string LT 5. Hangartner - Cutting him leaves the bills with no real experienced C behind Wood incase of injury. Levitre and Urbik may be the 3rd string emergency C's but this would leave them with no real backup to Wood. 6. McGee and McKelvin - Theres no way they just let either of these guys go for nothing, they aren't that deep at CB until Williams shows he can be a starter -
Fitzy's Clean Shaven Look
apuszczalowski replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats not the point, Fitz took the job and ran with it to the point that everyone annointed him the starter this year before training camp. This was the first time he had ever gone into camp as the #1 guy, and also i believe the first time he had gone into camp with a beard. Scoring 17 points in one half of a game isn't exactly lighting it up, HOF worthy playing. -
Of course he can because everyone in the world not playing on the Bills roster can play better then Urbick!

Andre Gurode C Cowboys may be cut today
apuszczalowski replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The o-line the last half of the season last year is almost the same as it is now and yet Fitz made it through the season without any major issues. So far in 3 pre-season games he has yet to get killed anymore then most other QB's. i don't get why everyone thinks that all of the sudden the season is gonna start and Fitz won't make it through a game. -

apuszczalowski replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beards kick @ss Fitzy went from 7th round draft pick, career second stringer to starter of an NFL franchise when he grew a beard. Yet onw preseason game played well and all of the sudden theres a problem with the beard? Long live the Amish Rifle! -
Insider: Nix hasn't addressed Bills greatest needs
apuszczalowski replied to Amstel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love how this is written, cause you could use the same argument with any team and be right, its easy At 3/4 of the way through training camp, find what issues the team is having trouble with, then turn around and say those are the teams greatest needs and since they aren't fixed, the FO has done nothing to fix it. Looking at last season, the biggest need was a pass rush and stopping the run. The offence was middle of the pact/good at best, and the oline wasn't the worst, but not the greatest. Fitz showed he could be a guy that could lead an offence, but might not be a franchise superstar. In the offseason, the Bills used almost the entire draft on Defence, picked up a couple of FA's for the defence and even a new coach for the defence to help improve that side. On offence, they decided to work with what they have this year and get answers as to weither or not some of the unproven guys can show that they can play. Are there holes or areas of concern? Of course. But you can't honestly say that they have done nothing to address their "greatest needs" this offseason. your right, that is exqactly what this organisation needs, they need to blow everything up and start all over again cause after 2 years, a team should be able to be rebuilt from the ground up. Especially with all the talent that they inherited on this roster when they took over. -
Experiment how, like moving Reinhart up to 1st team LG? or levitre over to LT? or giving CJ the first couple of plays in the Denver Pre-season game? Those went over real well and did not result in overreactions from the fan base!

Andre Gurode C Cowboys may be cut today
apuszczalowski replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes you think he could or would be an improvement to play guard? C is probably the deepest position the bills have on the o-line with Wood and Hangartner, Levitre even has some experience playing it in an emergency
