The thing is, this doesn't hurt the receiving corps even when Jones comes back. The Receiving corps is weak right now from injuries and losing Jones makes it weaker. Adding someone like Reggie Wayne only makes it better, even when Jones returns, then you can let Ruvell walk again and the Receivers are even better then they have been. Unless of course you believe that Martin and a 4th make them better then having Wayne for this season

I guess some here would prefer to continue to see Ruvell Martin shine just so we can have an extra 4th round pick next season i too wonder why the Colts would want to give away Wayne because he is one of Mannings best targets. But with this being the final year of his contract, and manning probably missing this season, why not make a trade for whatever pick you can get, and let Wayne know in the offseason that once he becomes a FA, they will make him an offer to come back? This season is over for them, they might as well start looking at next season, which is why I don't understand why Manning hasn't been put on IR already to get some cap relief.

I would think that putting Manning on IR would help free up some cap space to get in someone like Garrard. it won't matter if Manning would be able to return at the end of the season, cause with the way they are going, Manning might be able to return in mid december to lead the Colts to their first win. I think Garrards problem isn't that he wants to be paid, he just wants to go to a better situation then what he had in jacksonville (doesn't want to go to another bad team like Miami) and wants to go somewhere that he is the starter (he might be the starter for most of the season in Indy, but he's a backup once Manning is healthy. Also I heard he wants to make sure that whatever team he goes to, his contract/salary is guaranteed for the entire season (as if he was on their roster to start the year)

San Fran and the Bengals D have looked pretty good. The Ravens D has been pretty good too. But we already had a similar discussion about how the rest of the leagues defences have looked BAD and offence/Yards has been way up this season. Theres no point in even arguing this, I have brought it up in all the other posts about firing Edwards and 'promoting' Wanny. No one can give you an answer except that the Bills are giving up alot of yards like they did last season and therefore its Edwards fault and Wanny would be a huge improvement because he won SB's in the past as a D-coordinator. Apparently at this moment, Wannys job is just to show up to the stadium and sit in the booth watching the game until they fire Edwards.
