Even then, looking at the impact had by the guys drafted around him, you could say that they were all better picks for their team.

Walter Football Draft prediction: WR??
apuszczalowski replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hows the UDFA and 7th round pick WR's working out for ya? The Bills need playmakers on BOTH sides of the Ball. If a top tier WR is there when they pick, why shouldn't the guy be the pick? You can win games with a bad defence if you offence can score points. But it can't win games with the greatest defence if the offence can't do better then 3 and out every time they have the ball -
Except that they also brought him in to be the #3 Wild Cat QB

Defense and Depth are the Problem
apuszczalowski replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the offence could score points, the defence wouldn't look half as bad I am not saying the defence isn't a problem, but its not all on them. Green bay seems to be doing just fine with a mediocre at best defence, Don't the Pats have one of the worst ranked defences? The reason why these teams still win is because they have offences that will score points and take the pressure off the defence. This is 3 straight games with less then 10 points scored. In order to win the defence would need to shutout teams every week. Thats not something even the best teams can do. If your defence gives up points, a compitent offence should be able to march back down the field and get them back, not go 3 and out But what if the Bills had a pass rush or 'stache running the defence? -
I would reserve my judgement as to who plays in net during the playoffs until he has a performance like that against a playoff team. Beating Carolina shouldn't be used for evaluation of any player right now
-
Thats all I was trying to say. I wasn't trying to say it was worth the investment, especially since they have abandoned the idea of using the Wild cat much in games and use Smith as a WR I wouldn't include him on the list, it wasn't his fault that the punt was blocked
-
If thats happened (I have been arguing that he has had a say all along), then we are in more trouble then most think because there wasn't a difference at all in the D yesterday from almost any other week. If the Bills offence would start scoring points when they have the ball instead of always going 3 and out, the defence wouldn't look so bad. But right now, like previous years, the Bills defence needs shutouts weekly just to give the team a chance to win. Scoring under 10 points a game in the last 3 games, it doesn't matter what the defence does, it won't cut it

Why won't Ralph sell the team?
apuszczalowski replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because its his and he doesn't want to. He has no reason to either. And maybe, he knows that there are no local investors (like everyone assumes) that have the ability to buy the team and keep them in Buffalo long term, so he figures he wants to help out the Buffalo fans by keeping them here as long as he can control it? As much as everyone thinks differently, its not like he isn't trying. But like the famous jauron sound bite everyone likes to make fun of, it really is hard to win in the NFL. Your team consists of almost 2-3 times the amount of players as any other sports league. The game is set up where you have essentially 2 seperate teams making up one team (offence and defence). Its also not an easy draw to attract the best, weither it be coaches, management, or players to Buffalo if there are other opportunities for them. -
Hmmmm, 1. the Lions haven't really been good since Barry Sanders, Ittok them MANY years of inept play and drafting in the top spot (with many misses) to get to where they are this season (althought they are starting to look like the old Lions again) 2. The Pittsburgh Pirates fans amy argue about whose owner is worst, only advantage they have is a great new ball park 3. The Kansas City Royals (Also See above) 4. The LA Clippers 5. The Florida Panthers, Columbus Blue jackets, etc. Everyone says he has pocketed a ton of money, but isn't that what all owners of ANY company, not just sports franchise are out there to do? And how much money has he pocketed exactly? Someone has to have the numbers to throw acusation like that out. His personal worth may have gone up due to him owning an NFL team valued at around $800 million (give or take), but that doesn't mena he has a bank account sitting there with that much money in it (minus his initial startup cost) As for what has Ralph done, well for Buffalo, he has kept them in Buffalo and kept the cost to attend a game at an amount the average person can afford. Don't like it, go to Dallas for a game, or NY, or Washington. Those teams spend money like you want. As for what did he do to deserve being in the Hall of Fame, guess your too young to remember the AFL/NFL merger that happened in large part because of him helping and loaning money to other franchises. Even I'm too young to remember that when it happened, but I am aware of it happening and can respect him for that.

No, I am not wrong, he was brought in to be a Kick returner and the 3rd string Wild Cat QB. Weither its a gimmick or not, its what they paid him to come here and do
-
But when he has played, he has been ineffective
-
Of course he is, this is the blame Smith thread, how dare he come here and not blame him. I'm sure you were right there with the coaching staff and know the assignments of each and ever player on the play to tell who is assigned to block who. When Smith was being used as a Wild Cat QB he was effective, but they have gotten away from teh Wild cat and now he is being used as a WR because the Bills are short there. He was never billed as a great WR. On kick returns, these new rules have really ruined the return game. There is alot more touchbacks and little returns. He was a better returner for the Jets last season because he had a bit more time to field the ball and run, now thats being elimenated with the closer kicks Fixed it

Economy is bad and Jerseys ain't cheap! Thats why I just got a Kelly and Thomas throwback jersey in the mail yesterday. i have decided its easier to go with former HOFers. (Probably knockoffs, but I bought them through ebay and won the auction for $30 each, new with all the tags. Mitchell & Ness I believe, with the 1990 SB tag on the white Kelly, and the Bills 35 and NFL 75 on the Thomas Blue 1994 IIRC) I am trying to figure out who to change my Lynch and Whitner jerseys to just to keep them useable, also have a Bledsoe, but that one is an iron on and haven't been able to find a place where I can have a replacement name tag made in Iron on)

FINALLY Somoene Is Putting It Out There
apuszczalowski replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, all we have to do is get the offence scoring some points. 20-30 points against the Jets is pretty much all you need to score to beat them. Remember, as bad as the Bills played in the Last game, it was still a very close game of FG's until the second half when it became ugly. Build up a bit of a lead before the Half on a few scores and the Bills will win next week As for Sanchez, I have said all along, him and romo are fighting for most overrated QB in the league (and I don't care that both just had great stats against the Bills these last few weeks, almost all QBs do). Sanchez didn't lead teh team for the last 2 years to the AFC championship game, he was just the starting QB of a team that was in those games. They made it there inspite of him, not because of him. Sorry, but I got to agree with Joe on this, the jets offence scored 13 points, you don't take away points that they did score just because they threw an INT for a TD. They still were able to score 13 on the Broncos D -

Guys in that stage of a relationship are always trying to impress their girlfriend, weither she is already impressed with him or not, and weither it works or not. it was cute and romantic in the eyes of woman that this tough athlete ran over to her and gave her the ball he just scored a TD with. -
Jets-Broncos live Game Thread
apuszczalowski replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved watching when Tebow scored, the panned over to Rex and he sort of shrugged his shoulders and threw his hands in the air, basically giving up and saying "I have no idea how to stop this guy" I can honestly say after watching this game, I don't fear the jets game in 2 weeks, and although its winable, I think it will be a closer and tougher game on x-mas eve against the broncos then originally thought. That is unless Tebow can't play to prepare for his birthday the next day All the Bills have to do against the jets is continue to run the ball and not rely on the pass. On defence, put some pressure on Sanchez and try to get some turnovers. Against the Broncos, keep Tebow from running all over and make him throw the ball, I think our defence can make a few picks against him if he has to throw the ball -

Its not that they are square, just married too long and not in the dating/honeymoon stage where they are trying to impress. -
nope, its all Edwards.......

Connoly I also believe, has a point per game this season too (that is, Point per game that he has played in). With reimer on the shelf, and the Leafs rumored to be looking for a goalie (Turco has been mentioned) this trade seems plausible

i loved how he has Butters hacking into the system to find out who the poorest student is after Kenny is taken too his foster family

Fitz's Inaccuracy A Problem Going Forward?
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There, fixed that one for you. The problem is like most of the Bills positions, They have some good players, but no body outstanding or top tier. Stevie johnson is a good WR, but not someone who is great, he only looks great to us because of his backstory about where he was drafted and that he is the best of this bunch. Even with evans, he was a very good receiver in his prime, but not that great player that abunch of teams have. -
Damn, should have played Jhonas "the invincible one" Enroth last night instead of Miller, maybe they would have won last night instead. No way Enroth gives up 5 goals..........
