  1. He had a good game against Revis for 1 TD, yeah no WR has EVER done that before. Do you watch any other Football games besides just the Bills games? I'm not saying that they shouldn't try to re-sign Johnson, but i wouldn't go overboard signing him to a huge contract, or worry that he is someone thats going to be impossible to replace. He is a #1 WR here because he is part of a WR group made up of low round picks and UDFA's. He doesn't make the catches that the majority of the other top WR's make, he doesn't have great speed to outrun alot of CB's, and he has issues dropping balls that are placed right into his hands at critical times in games. He is a fine #2 WR, or maybe a #1b type, but he should not be the cornerstone of the WR core on your team. If it wasn't for his antics on the field, he wouldn't be as known around the league And maybe not every WR could make that catch, but its the kind of catch most decent WR's will make in the NFL
  2. You might be onto something here, did you ever notice around the league that teams with winning records have good coaches, and teams that are losing are always the ones to fire their coaches? Jacksonville, KC, Miami, all losing teams this year, all fired Head coaches Green Bay, New England, New Orleans, all good coaches not on the hotseat
  3. If he is doing such a great job, its possible that a new coaching staff may want to keep him around. It would make for a quicker turnaround if he is kept and the defence doesn't need to go through a change again. But who am I kidding, this is the Dolphins, the same team that was publically trying to persue Harbaugh last offseason with the HC still employed..........
  4. Common misconception, Fitz CAN throw the Long ball, he just can't throw it accurately. it also doesn't help that his #1 WR can only catch the ball 3/4 times when its put right into his hands, and he doesn't have guys with the talent to be able to make plays on badly thrown balls like the top WR's do routinely And for those that say we have other needs and that a QB can wait, Do you even watch this league? Its a QB league now, some of the top teams in each conference are teams with the worst defences. NE is leading the AFC with one of the worst defences, and Green bay is leading the league without a loss in over a year with the worst defence statistically. What do both of those teams have, FRANCHISE QBs. Having a bad defence isn't an issue, if you have a competent offence that will get the points back that your defence might give up, A great offence can mask a very poor defence becuase the most important part of winning, IS SCORING POINTS, the offences #1 job. Look at the start of the year when the Bills were leading the AFC East, they had the same defence, but they had an offence that was actually a threat to come back and score points when the opponent scored. The offence struggles to score and the Death spiral begins for the team
  5. And with a couple of catches by Stevie Johnson, they would be better then last year and possible still clinging to playoff hopes......
  6. Yeah, its all Ralphs fault because he won't put a winning team on the field. Lets just forget the name on Detroits stadium for a moment and forget they call Detroit "the motor City" with atleast 2 of the biggest automakers in the industry headquartered there. THE PROBLEM ISN'T IN FAN ATTENDANCE, ITS IN BIG TIME SPONSORSHIPS AND LUXURY SEATING/BOXES! Thats where the real money is made. Detroit has Ford and GM that can buy advertising and luxury suites, Buffalo has Saleens Hot Dogs and Celino & Barnes.
  7. They go out and find someone else who can drop routine catches at critical times in games. If he thinks he deserves #1 WR money comparable to the top 15-20 WR's in the league, he is dreaming. He would make a fine #2 WR (or a #1B), but he is not the kind of guy teams need as a #1 WR. Watch other games besides the Bills and you will see what WR's can do. You will see WR's that go out and make catches of passes thrown right to them AND badly thrown balls. He struggles to make critical catches in pressure situations, and does not make any catches that other WR's can't make. If its the celebrations your worried about losing, Ocho might be available again this offseason.........
  8. I'm not saying he will be good, just what the fans have wanted all year. I have argued with the board before about him being moved to coaching the D and everyone put all the blame on Edwards But where were those franchise before last offseason? San Fran has been a mediocre team mostly throughout the last decade, picking in the teens/5 to 10 spot, they are also in one of the weakest divisions in the league. Denver has also been off and on, and is also leading the weakest division in the AFC. The Bengals have been an off and on team all decade too in a very tough division
  9. The defence hasn't kept us from the playoffs. Having an offence that spots the opponents more points then it can put up is whats keeping this team down. They will ride out the season with Edwarsd as the DC, and then at the end of the year he will be let go and everyone will get their wish with the 'stache getting the position. They won't let Gailey go, the only way he goes is if he steps down at the end of the season and retires, which is possible and it will mean another re-build starts again
  10. Evans has done nothing in Baltimore this year, and has done next to nothing in Buffalo the previous few seasons. Having him wouldn't have changed things. Also, didn't the Bills pay Evans bonus this season before dealing him?
  11. And no matter what he says, fans will all say its just an excuse and they don't buy it, and that he needs to be fired, along with everyone else, and Ralph needs to die so they will have a new saviour, sorry, Owner
  12. Buffalo will never be an attractive place to play, they need to focus on drafting better to turn this team around, not Free Agency
  13. Why didn't they just go out and sign one of those Pro-Bowl caliber players that are just sitting around waiting for a team to call them to sign around this time of the year? Damn this team and Ralph, always to cheap to sign the out of work Pro-Bowlers!
  14. But, But, But, But...... Theres no such thing as a small market, all teams in the NFL make money, They have Saint Polian in charge!
  15. maybe they shouldn't have built a house so close to a bomb range? I love that show
  16. Reason #583,264,630,946,109,560,246 why your country is screwed Isn't Fox news saying someone/thing is brainwashing others "the pot calling the kettle black?"
  17. I forgot that this was on, I wanted to watch it cause I thought it was cool that they had the 3 of them making bikes. I have always loved Jesse's bikes the best. Any photos of the Bikes?
  18. And if you don't have an offence, the defence can stop the opponent every single time and it won't matter if you can't score. A team like New England, Green bay, Indy (with Manning), or New Orleans are a threat to score every time their offence touches the ball. They don't have to worry about their defence having to hold them in games because if the give up points, their offence has a good chance of marching down the field to get those points back. Right now, even if the defence was playing better, would you have faith in the current offence of this team to come back onto the field after a stop and march down the field for a TD?
  19. What, that Polians Colts are 0-12 right now without Manning and he may again fall into a position to get another franchise QB #1 overall in the draft this year?
  20. I agree completly, its an offence league right now. A great offence (NE, GB, etc) can make up for having mediocre defences because they have offences that can score points at will and make up for the defence giving up points. A strong defence can hold your team in a low scoring game, but without an offence able to score frequently, you need an Above average amazing defence thats able to pitch shutouts almost every game (and thats almost impossible) The Bills still need "playmakers" on offence at WR. Stevie is fine for a #2, but they need someone with elite WR potential, someone who can make the tough catches (along with the routine/easy ones). Watching the Saints Giants Monday nighter last week and the Giants packers game this week, I was amazed at what their WR's could do, making great catches as if they were routine
  21. First, Polians fighting was with a member of Ralphs immediate family, his daughter, and its been reported that Polian was insulting to her. But I guess if you were in that situation, you'd push your own child down a flight of stairs if it meant keeping polian around Second, how much of Indys success has been because Polian continues to build a great team, or because he happened to have such a great QB fall into his lap at #1 that year? Going by this season, I'm guessing it must be Polian, cause the Colts are sure showing that they don't need Manning to win In his decade + in Indy, and with Peyton manning as his QB, HE HAS ONLY HAD 2 APPEARANCES IN THE SUPERBOWL, AND 1 VICTORY. Is it more then the Bills have since he left, sure, its more then a bunch of teams can say they have, but its not like there aren't plenty of others that have had similar success or better in that time
  22. i wasn't talking about just relocation now, I'm talking about over the entire time he has been the owner. There were times when local governments were willing to help fund building large stadiums, if it meant that they could get a pro sports franchise. Right now in LA, they have investors ready to fund and build the stadium, all they need is the team. As for the franchise right now, does anyone know EXACTLY what it costs to operate an NFL franchise, not just what it costs for players, but total cost to pay for Insurance, salaries for office and coaching staff, scouts, the Jills (or do they do this for free) fees to operate the stadium, concessions, and security for games and events, etc.? These are costs that are not counted in the salary cap, which is the amount that goes to the players. Sure the revenue sharing may cover the salary cap, but does it cover anything else? The profit these days is made off of the luxury boxes and the sponsorship deals. The luxury seating is limited at RWS compared to other facilities around the league, and I'm sure Saleens Hot Dogs is the same sponsorship cash cow as some of the other sponsors places like Dallas and NY have. He can't be, according to everyone here he is a great owner because he is highly active in FA and throwing money at the team I think thats the #1 requirement to having a good front office according to some here
  23. But the Colts have Saint Polian at the helm and Manning, plus more then likely the golden boy Andrew Luck coming in next season! You could add the Royals into the group with Pittsburgh and Baltimore in the MLB. They alwasy seem to show some promise at the begining and then fizzle out at the end, but the stadium looks nice too, better then the dump in Oakland. Just having a healthy roster again, getting back some of the key starters would help out alot. I would rather see an upgrade to the #1 WR position, making Stevie an upgrade at #2. Just watching WRs on other teams it makes me see Stevie as just a good #2 wr, not a #1. You see the top WR go out and give that extra effort and make spectacular catches, they catch balls that aren't perfectly thrown by the QB (and ones that are ) Stevie seems like he can only make the catch if the ball is thrown right to him, but even then its not a sure thing
  24. Fewell went from DC of a bad defence (atleast thats what everyone complained about all the time here) to interim Head Coach (I thought he did a good job though in his time here as Iterm HC and wouldn't have had a problem if they gave him a shot to keep the title) back to DC of a defence that some are saying could finally cost the HC his job in NY. Harbaugh went from NFL QB, to College HC (not sure what co-ordiantor positions he may have had inbetween), to highly sought after NFL HC (so much that some teams **cough-Dolphins-cough** were ready to fire their current HC just to get him)
  25. Polian had 4 tries here in Buffalo to win a SB In over a decade with arguably the greatest starting Qb to ever play the game he has exactly 1 Super Bowl victory (thats also his career total for SB victories) I think I would rather have the current Packers Front office, or the Patriots front office of the last decade, or even the front office of the Steelers before I would want Polian back. I bet those 3 teams could lose their starting QB and still show a sign of life and win 1 game.......
