  1. Fixed it The question is, is adding 3 unknown rookies over 3 years going to improve the team more then adding a potential Manning/Brady with a smaller contract then Bradfords, freeing up cap space? Thats where they questioning is going to happen over if you take him or try and trade the pick
  2. Lynch -> Freddy? Whitner -> Wilson and Byrd? Evans -> Johnson? Are those replacements not considered by fans to be better then the players they replaced? As for Poz, they found a better replacement for him in FA in Barnett when they couldn't re-sign him The only one that arguably you can say they didn't have a replacement for was maybin, but he was let go because he never showed he could do anything on the field in games or practice with the Bills. the problem with him was maybe that the Bills caoching staff and front office wanted more out of him then what he could do. They wanted a complete player that could play every down, not a guy whos only ability is to try and sack the Qb on obvious passing downs and be a liability on the field every other down. Buffalo didn't feel they had the luxury of keeping a player liek that on this team, the Jets felt they could afford that luxury
  3. It already has blown up in his face, just look at the reactions here But would it really matter what he said? Fans will always taken the comments that are said and view them how they want to view them. The only way to change it is to change what happens on the field and win. look at the comments He said they need WR's, thats true, fans don't like Jones as a #2 and they don't have a standout playmaking WR right now He said they need healthy TE's - Fans have wanted a stud TE for years, Chandler looked good but got hurt, they just IR'd a TE earlier this year, they have had a bunch of TE's in previous years that are always getting hurt...... He believes that Fitz is the guy, and up until this current losing streak (which alot of people put most of the blame on the defence), the entire area thought so too..... He asked for patience, what more can he ask for? its not like they can do anything about it now with the trade deadline passed and FA not starting again until March. They can't start drafting players until the draft. Great teams aren't built overnight, unlike what some want to think. Teams like Detroit, and San Fran have gone through many regimes and years of drafting near the top to get to where they are this season. NE was a struggling franchise until Bledsoe and then lucking into finding Brady. Indy was another struggling franchise until they drafted Manning. New Orleans and Tampa spent many years as a league doormat until they found recent success. He said they need a runner, this is the only comment I am not sure of because I don't know what he means by a "runner". Does he mean RB? Deos he mean a speedy WR? Does he mean a Vick/Teebow type QB? For all we know, he could be refering to a player similar to Teebow.......
  4. But would they have been any better with them? Everyone always bring up the "Keep your own" comment, but those guys weren't picked by this GM, and 2 of them (Poz and Whitner) left on their own. How are you supposed to improve and get better if every year you resign your entire team? Some guys have to go to open up roster spots and new guys have to come in.
  5. There is also a date that the team is probably no longer allowed to sell the old stuff anymore so they want to clear out the existing stock to get ready for the new stuff
  6. Because no other franchise has an owner that has a say in what the team does, they all just hand blank checks over to their front office and say "do what you want, I will be sitting in my owners box" What makes them the "worst franchise"? What makes them worse then Detroit? Cleveland? Cincy? Detroit and Cleveland have had worse records in the last decade then the Bills (Detroit is only where they are now by drafting in the top 3 for many years), and Cincy's owner is also not viewed as a great owner
  7. Some people live very sad lives where their self esteem/ego/self worth are tied to what others think of the sports team they cheer for.........
  8. have you watched him any where else? Have you watched him play for the Bills, with teh same team Fitz has to play with? Rob Johnson had a couple good starts too before the Bills picked him up...........
  9. ................Someone that the fans will disclike from the time his name is called because he wasn't who they thought they should draft who was still on the board, or because they didn't trade down to collect more picks
  10. They will probably have the same "look" only made by Nike instead of the current manufacturer. I don't think they are going to do a complete overhaul to the uniforms again
  11. So because I have patience and don't feel that I am entitled to having a winning pro football team near by that I am willing to just give my money away to the Bills I have other things in my life that are more important then crying that the football team I watch on Sunday isn't doing the things that I feel like they should be doing. My ego/self worth isn't directly tied to how well my pro sports teams look in the eyes of others. Sadly it appears like yours is I can't wait til they are moved and to watch all those wishing Ralph dies that will be crying to the NFL about how they could allow their team to move because "the Bills are so vital to the NFL, and Buffalo can support a Pro Football team!" Are you going to try and tell me that everyone loved those players and wanted to keep them? What did I say that was so unbelievable? Problem is, what Stevie wants, and what Stevies worth are 2 way different numbers........ Do they refuse, or do top coaches just turn them down? They went after Shanahan and he took the job that he wanted in Washington (Hows that working out for them?). Cowher said he didn't want to coach but gave them the recommendation to sign the guy currently coaching here. Maybin looks good on a Jets defence because he has just one job, come in on obvious passing downs and just try and get to the QB with the rest of the defence. Would you have been happier if they re-signed Whitner & Poz, and kept Lynch, Evans and Maybin? The problem is that they need to draft better "talent" thats worth keeping around. And besides Lynch (but only these last few weeks and the one playoff game last season) and Maybins sacks, have any of the others really been playing "Great" like you say?
  12. You are right, you just go to the "Top Flight Coaches and GM Store" and pick whichever one you want and then plant them in your stadium and water them with money and in one offseason you have a contending team! Where do you think these top flight coaches come from? You also realise that its not just a matter of calling up these guys, saying you are offering them a job for alot of money and they are yours. They have to want to come coach or be the GM of your team too. They went after Shanahan, he turned them down, They talked to Cowher and he turned them down but highly recommended the guy they currently have. They even went after some of the top co-ordinators and those guys wanted to stay at their current position.
  13. hmmmmm Lynch - Fans ran him out of town faster then he could ever run on the field at RWS because they were afraid one more screw up and he is gone for the year Evans - Fans talked about how he was expendable and should be traded, only reason fans are upset was because they overvalued what they thought another team would pay for him. He has also been invisible this year (or is that him being a high priced decoy for the Ravens now?) Whitner - Fans have been running him out of town every since his name was called at the podium the day he was drafted because he wasn't who everyone thought we should have drafted Maybin - Again, Fans were running him out of town since the day he was drafted, too small and light to be an NFL player Poz - Fans ran him out of town too, was only worth signing cheap but replaceable Funny how atleast 3 (probably 4) of the 5 players you mentioned were all players fans couldn't wait to get rid of also. Now that they go off to other teams and make some plays, they are all valuable pieces that they should never have let go.
  14. They are going to kick & scream and B*t*h & moan about how easy it is to build a playoff team in one offseason, and how Ralph is only out to make money off of the poor poor fans of Buffalo who don't deserve what they are getting.
  15. I had thought about this before, and I think it will show if BB and the Pats have any respect for the Bills or not. If they respect the Bills, they play and try to win so that they beat them once this season and avenge the earlier loss. If they decide to rest all the starters and use this game as a way to rest the starters (who could be getting the next week to rest too if they have the Bye), then it shows that they don't respect the Bills and don't care about being beaten by them earlier in the year. I would personally (If I cowas a coach) would want to go out and beat a team that upset me earlier in the year just to show the rest of the league the loss was a fluke
  16. He has? How many times has he come into a game this year? The only times I remember him coming in, in garbage time, he looked worse then Fitz who was taken out for him. As for wanting other teams backups, how about they try and get a starting Qb or draft a QB this year instead of making other teams discarded backups our starters. Kolb looked great last season too, hows it working out for the Cardinals?
  17. You realise he had other businesses and investments too, its not like his sole purpose in life was running the Bills. He has kept the franchise in Buffalo for over 40 years in the NFL, if thats not a good enough Legacy, why would saying that the new owner would have to keep them here make his legacy any better? The guy has proven to be very loyal to a fan base that wishes he was dead and want to force him to sell his team.
  18. They didn't bring him back just so he could go shooting on the highway. The entire season was all about Dexter fighting with his beliefs and the idea of religion. His beliefs until now have been "the code", and that what he was doing was right. Bringing his brother back was him questioning his beliefs, like the old good angel, bad angel on your shoulder telling you to do the opposite things. Harry was the good angel, trying to keep him on the good side, and his brother was the bad angel trying to get him to let go and not believe in Harrys Code If theres one complaint that I had this season, it was too much obvious CGI effects that you could tell were CGI
  19. And the Bills shredded that same Kansas City defence in week 1..........................
  20. I don't think we should all lower our standards and expect nothing better then reality shows when it comes to quality on television. My comment about people expecting too much is that they expect every program to be some intellectual work of art based in reality, or else its crap. Some of the comments here about having problems believing this season or parts of other seasons of Dexter is what I am refering too. Its a show where the likable main character is a serial killer that kills only for good and was taught this by his police officer step father before he died. He also works directly in the police department and has never been found out yet? You kind of have to step away from reality a little. As for the comment about too much religion this season, I thought that was the best part about it, because the entire season you saw Dexter questioning beliefs and religion within his own belief system of "the code". Also, alot of nut jobs and killers get their reasoning for committing their acts because of religion/beliefs. They believe that god is telling them to do things, or they are doing things because of the way tehir religion has told them things should be done
  21. I don't know if I completly agree with that, but to win on defence alone, you need to have an outstanding defence, not just a good one. You need a defence that can either hold teams to under 15 points a game (roughly) or one that is a turnover machine that can convert turnovers into points. A high scoring offence is easier to achieve then an outstanding defence, and a high scoring offence can compensate for a mediocre defence. To win in the NFL, or any sport, you have to be able to score points, its that simple. If your defence allows the opponent to score, they better be able to come back and get those points back if you plan on winning. Defences can keep you in the game and give you the occasional points on turnovers, but they can't be expected to make up for an offence that can't get into the endzone. Take the Bills this season. They started out the year with the same defenc they have now. When they were winning, they were still giving up alot of yards and points, but they won because they had an offence that would come back and get those points back. They started struggling to win when the offence sputtered and failed to score, they started losing
  22. Green Bay offence, hands down. That Offence is 13-1 right now with plenty of big wins. I also don't view the KC game as being a knock against the Packers team because I seriously believe that they threw the game against them. I believe that they intentionally lost to the Chiefs in order to get rid of the "perfect season" talk/pressure and allow them to focus on the playoffs and another Super Bowl win. A perfect season is nice, but overall its meaningless in the grand scheme of things unless you win the Super bowl. Maybe McCarthy learned from watching the Patriots and hearing the constant questions/talk of a "Perfect season" its not worth it. Losing to the Chiefs has very little impact on them and the NFC standings (compared to losing to the Bears this week) and now he can rest players without it looking like he doesn't care about going 16-0 The 49ers defence would be nice, but unless they can get points, your hoping that the defence can continue to play mistake free and hold the other team. The offences job is to score points, I would much prefer a team that is a serious threat to score and get back points if my defence gives up a TD or FG
  23. I actually thought it was really good, this season to me was better then last season which I found a bit weak but still pretty good, and almost as good as the Trinity Killer Season which I found to be one of the best I have seen. I think people expect too much from Movies and TV these days. As for the books, theres another one that I believe just came out this year, can't remember the title but I bought it for my brother for christmas.
  24. I'm not saying that #1 WR's don't drop the occasional passes, but they usually make up for it by also grabbing passes that are badly thrown and rarely drop ones that are thrown right to their hands. I don't see Stevie as being a great #1 WR. Don't get me wrong, I am all for re-signing him to a decent contract, but I think he would be a much better #2 then the #1. I don't see him out there making those highlight type catches you see from other teams WR's on a routine basis. Good WR's can catch balls that are thrown to them, great WR's can catch balls that require them to make a play on. I have watched plenty of other games and seen WR's go up and make catches above the CB's covering them, make diving catches and grab ones that looked like they would be easily dropped. I'm not saying he shouldn't be brought back, just that he shouldn't be the feature WR on this team, he is a great second WR
