TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
apuszczalowski replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Owens media circus wasn't a problem (and he has been known to be a true locker room cancer in the past and been thrown off of multiple teams cause he is an @ss), yet the media following Tebow is such a problem to stay away from? Only the Haters are saying the guy is gonna end up starting. Most of the people supporting (or not hating the move) are saying he would be a good choice to replace Brad Smiths role of "Wildcat QB", or sit and develop behind Fitz. So far the biggest arguements to not spending a low round pick on him is that "He sucks (his 8-6 rercord as a starter and playoff win proves this)" or "Fans and his hardcore supporters will cry for him to start if Fitz plays bad" (Like this doesn't happen no matter whos the backup?). The same fanbase screaming about not wanting him cause of the media following him are the same fans crying cause they get no national media recognition, and the same fans that embraced bringing TO over a few seasons ago. The Hatred for Tebow in the NFL is strong, mostly cause the media hype made because of his college career, and because he made his religious beliefs known and is strong about them. I have never seen him try and grab the medias attention or spotlight because he wanted it, the hype and attention is done by the media themselves, hyping up the smallest things about him. There is absolutly ZERO shreds of evidence that this guy is a lockerroom cancer, or someone that will drive the team apart if he isn't starting, and he seems more like the kind of teammate you would want around your team, he seems like a born leader If the Bills struggled like Denver did early in the season last year, I wouldn't blame the fan base for wanting the 1st round draft pick QB we drafted the year before who won a heisman and succeeded in college to get a shot at starting some games. -

Yeah, who would want the crazy media circus that would follow him........ Anyone know if TO would come back, he'd be a great #2 WR again? Has the league announced that they are giving us Monday night and primetime games this year? We just signed Mario Freakin' Williams, why is no one else talking about Him and the Bills RIGHT NOW!!!!1 -

Adding Tebow may get rid of Thigpen (or Brad Smith) like everyone has asked for! -
Did anyone ever listen to what Buddy has said in the past prior to the Mario Williams Circus????? Buddy has come out and said that he has talked Ralph out of wanting to spend money in the past because he didn't feel it was the right time or the right player. That comment was always viewed as being Nix covering for Ralph or just "GM Speak".

C'mon, right now you wouldn't agree to let him snuggle with you and share the bed if he needed a place to stay? You would let Buffalos new Saviour sleep on the Couch? -

You wouldn't let him take the bed (even if your wife was home) while you take the couch? Do you realise who its for???? -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
apuszczalowski replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is probably what they are waiting for, part of the conditions Williams had put in the deal is thta they don't go public with the deal until a message board thread about him hits 200 pages! -

Is that what he is going to use his millions on? Hopefully he invest better then Kelly did with his restuarant.......... I just pray thats not what they talked about last night when he stayed there. So now who's expecting news to break later today that Ralph passes and the team is immediatly sold to a group of investors in LA? Cause that sounds like Buffalo Sports Luck -

I think he surprised me more as being not what I expected. He doesn't seem to look very "D-Linemen" type to me, maybe a CB or a bigger WR, possible RB -
Robert Meachem visits Bills, signs with SD
apuszczalowski replied to mrags's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just saying he is on his way to Buffalo, not that they have signed him -
The Bills made an offer to Bell and he didn't counter it, Sometimes guys want to test the market first to get the best deal. Its not like Bell was some spectacular LT. He was looking good/decent, but he was also getting injured alot. its not like the Bills spent alot of resources to get him As for Roscoe, he has already been re-signed in the past and the issue isn't that they want to get rid of him cause he can't play, his problem is he can't stay on the field. Sometimes you just have to let players go

The Merriman tweet to VJackson

I believe that there is also some sort of rule stating that players can't openly recruit guys either. Thats part of the "Its not about signing in Buffalo....Turns away hiding a smile" part of their tweets. Players can't openly recruit guys, but if it comes up in a private coversation between friends about how they really enjoy playing for the Bills organisation, What can the NFL do? -

FOR THE LAST TIME, IT WASN'T THE CONTENT OF THE MESSAGE/CELEBRATION THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, IT WAS THE FACT THAT HE HAD A CELEBRATION PLANNED AFTER BEING TOLD NOT TO DO IT! The team was told they would be disciplined for taking selfish celebration penalties. The NFL frowns upon pre meditated celebrations -
If history is any indicator (it is)
apuszczalowski replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not that I believe the bills will land Mario Williams, but if it is true what your saying about it not being about the money for him, that would make it a MUCH better chance of being able to land him in Buffalo because he will be looking for a place that he can play in a scheme he is most comfortable in. He is better in the 4-3 then the 3-4 that Houston switched to IIRC, and Buffalo could have the money to give him a decent offer plus give him the chance to play where he wants to play. The only thing holding him back would be if he wants to come to Buffalo to live and play and if he wants to play for a contending team right now -
They won't trade out of the spot if they want him. If he is the guy they believe is the best and the one they want, they will pick him there. Nix has already said he doesn't like trading down in the draft.
-
if the Bills really want him, why not call Oakland and offer them a pick to take him off their hands? he plays for the $11 mil he is signed for this year and no need to get into a bidding war

All Peyton Manning, all the time!
apuszczalowski replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nah, we save our hate on this board for 90% of the Bills current players (mostly guys that were drafted instead fo the guy everyone wanted, or guys from previous regimes still here), former players that were hated while here for the reasons given, and anyone affiliated with the Jets or Pats. There might be some dislike for a few other players on this board, but not really a Hatred for them -
We aren't targetting big name FAs?
apuszczalowski replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading what was quoted, it sounds like they won't actively be bidding the top WR's available now, but if they can sign a guy that can improve the current group in FA or the draft, they will do it. Chances are they either sign a decent #2-3 WR in FA if they can afford it, or they draft a guy -

Theres a difference between rewarding players for knocking guys out or injuring them during the game (D-Bag move, but its not cheating) to videotaping a teams practice to help get an understanding of what they are planning (D-Bag move thats cheating) -
maybe he was only looking for one?
