Yeah, but that means an organisation like the Dolphins might take this amzing talent that will make Luck and RG3 combined look like busts! (Did the Dolphins see what I just wrote? Anyone know if they fell for it?)

12 buried, pickled WWII fighter planes found
apuszczalowski replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wonder about just how true this really is. Being into offroading and Jeeps, there are plenty of Urban Legends of these great, unused Military Jeeps being found in crates somewhere that are in perfect shape and just left over from the war. Usually they are just urban legends or scams and not true -
Touch (on Fox) - update : canceled & 24 is back
apuszczalowski replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My Fiancee has been really into the show and I have been watching it with her. I never watched 24, but I find this one to be pretty good, its interesting how they end up tying all the stories together. We missed the episode 2 weeks ago and it wasn't a problem getting back into it last week I do continue to make jack bauer jokes during it though, also the occasional Lethal Weapon joke too...... -
You know theres plenty of other locations that would love the chance at an NFL team too, The Bills aren't locked into staying just cause LA wouldn't be available anymore. When the Bills are put up for sale, they could have straighten things out in Minneosota and they might be looking for a replacement to the vikings (If the current vikings leave) These days, if your not willing to pay (for stadiums or stadium upgrades, etc.) you might not survive very long cause theres probably someone somewhere else that will pay

Did they not just redo the entire Buffalo convention centre recently? i thought I hear on the radio that they did. Also, the larger events that someone mentioned could be held in a convention centre are already being held in the Arena downtown.

I would assume that if the other events are not Bills related, it would go to whomever runs the stadium. The Bills are the ones leasing the stadium from the county, so unless they have written in the lease that they have full control of the stadium year round, it would go to whomever is running the place when the Bills aren't as for the County making the money back, If they improve the facility, can they not get more from the Bills in the lease? If the facility is improved, can the bills not charge more for tickets to a better facility that will provide the public a better experience? Will building better luxury suites attract more buyers, or allow the Bills to charge more to the groups that currently own one? If they can't keep the stadium up to date, and no one is buying the luxury boxes, then this team will not be able to compete in the NFL in teh future and will not be economically viable without the rest of the league there to offer help and prop them up. Its sad because its a sporting even and do you really need more then some seats, concessions, and bathrooms? But the NFL is a business thats always looking to maximise profits, and if you can't keep up, your not gonna survive

it doesn't matter who put forth the idea, its something that has been quietly talked about as something that may be needed by fans and people all over that the Bills will either need a new stadium, or some major renovations to RWS in order to compete and keep up financially with the rest of the league. The biggest question that needs to be looked at by everyone involved will be what is the best option financially? Is it worth continuing to pour money into the current stadium to improve it or is it better financially to build something new? Green bay, Chicago and KC decided to do extensive renovations to the existing stadiums (Lambeau and Soldier Feild are also iconic football stadiums similar to say Wrigley field and Fenway park in baseball that building a new stadium would almost be sacrilege to the sport). Either way, something will need to be done to help keep the Bills in Buffalo when a new owner takes over, and why not for once take the approach of looking at it and discussing it ahead of time instead of after its too late?

Again, IT DOESN"T MATTER WHAT WE WANT, IT MATTERS WHAT THE NEXT OWNER WANTS AND WHAT WILL BRING THEM THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY NEED TO BE HAPPY WITH KEEPING THE TEAM WHERE IT IS IN BUFFALO. Would you put down almost a Billion dollars of your own money and just be happy to say break even doing some low cost renos to update a 40 year old stadium? Or would you want to look into doing whatever is possible to up the revenue so that you can turn a profit and make a return on your investment? Remembering that right now Ralph and the Bills turn a profit, but they also have ZERO DEBT to worry about cause the team and stadium are paid off in full at this time. AND AGAIN, WHEN HAS THE WEATHER EVER BEEN AN ADVANTAGE IN THE LAST DECADE FOR THE BILLS? Players are coming from all over in todays NFL, and the weather has been all over the place recently with Nice warm Sundays happening into Decemeber sometimes. If a new stadium is going to require that it be a dome to make it viable as a year round facility for other events, then thats what it will have to be.

The question is weither the Bills have to grant permission for one of their coaches to interview for a college job or not. If the other team was an NFL team, then there are rules that permission is not needed if the move is a vertical move (co-ordinator to HC, Asst HC to HC, etc). I don't think the Bills can deny anyone in college from speaking to their coaches, but I think they can hold the coach to their contract if they decided they wanted to leave while still under contract. Wanny would have to quit/resign to take the college position and possibly face some financial penalties that could be in the contract for not fullfilling it (have to pay back some of it), where as if it was a HC job in the NFL he would not face any penalties. Most of the time teams will let coaches leave if they are going to a position higher then what they currently hold and its a better situation for them. So it all comes down to if Wanny feels being a College HC again is better then staying in the NFL as a D-coordinator and Asst. HC. Him leaving after just starting the position in Buffalo would look like a dick move to the fans here, and possibly might look bad on him in the future for another NFL position if a team feels he may not be trustable in staying long term

You have to think about it from the point of view of the new owner that will come in when Ralphs gone. The new owner is going to be paying pretty close to a billion for the franchise, I don't know of many in this world that just have that kind of cash laying around that they can drop to own a franchise without having to have some kind of debt they will need to repay. The new owner will have to turn a nice profit to make the investment worthwhile. Can they do that in the current stadium? Can they do that in a refurbished stadium? Is the government going to be ok with paying money out to refurb RWS (or build a new stadium)if it isn't multi use and only used 8 times a year? Is the new owner going to turn down a new stadium downtown cause the fans won't be able to tailgate drinking their own beer and eating their own food? As a fan its easy to say they shouldn't do this cause it might "ruin" your experience that you are accustomed to and enjoy, but if you want to keep it that way, you better save your pennies and buy the team yourself, cause normally the people with the kind of money to buy NFL teams aren't the kind of guys looking to just throw money away without it bringing more in for them

He is a huge fan and travels all over playing in Ball Hockey tournaments. I have heard stories from a few people who said they met him while he was heading to some tournaments in Ontario

Classy I hope they frame the AD and hang it up in the childs bedroom so they have something for him to be proud of when he grows up! -
It all depends on what 'stache wants and what he feels is better for him. Is his ultimate goal to be a HC again one day and feel that being a HC of a college team or does he think that being employed as a coach in the NFL is a better spot? Which spot is more likely to get him the chance to achieve any goals or wants that he might have? He might be the type of guy who would view any move back to the college level a step down from the NFL OR, he may see being a HC, anywhere, a step up from being a co-ordinator in the NFL
-
But thats for another, higher position in teh same league. I don't know if the NFL has a rule (they do have the rule that you can't block a coach from taking higher position with another NFL team without your permission)that would keep a team from blocking a coach from taking a position in the college ranks.

What most seem to be forgeting is that the "tradition", and tailgating and all is fine for us fans, but what about the next owner of the team? The next owner will need to be someone who can afford to pay probably close to $800 Million on the team. There are very few people in the world (let alone WNY) that can afford to do that and not have to go into debt with loans and borrowing for it. The team will have to turn bigger profits in order for the new owner to pay off the debts that Ralph currently does not have with the team cause they have been paid off already. Can a new owner do that in Orchard park and RWS? Tailgating is great for the average fan, but it doesn't bring the team or owner any revenue. As for the dome, if a new stadium is going to be built and have any tax payer money used, it will have to be a dome because they will need it to be mutli use to justify the expense to help build. The days of weather being an advatage are long gone. Players are coming from all over to play and its not an advatage like it used to be. And its not like fans are selling out the December games which during the end of last season, it was shown that even when the Bills were going to the SB, they still had trouble selling out December games. In order for the Bills to survive and stay in WNY, they are either going to need a newer stadium built to help maximise profits, or expnsive upgrades will be needed to give RWS a facelift and prices increased in order for them to stay economically viable and compete financially with the rest of the league. Ralph is not in debt with the Bills because they were paid off years ago. He doesn't need to do much in order for the team to turn a profit. But the next owner will need to maximise profits in order to help keep the team in the area and pay off the debts he will have purchasing the team Close enough, I'm sure the error was in some rounding up or down Theres a difference in comparing the Super Bowl to the Indy 500. The Superbowl is a once in a while event, the Indy 500 is a once a year event held in the same location. More gets tied to turning a profit with a once a year event in the same location, compared to something that at best, would be held if lucky, once every 5-10 years in your location.

Not a nascar track, its the Canadian Motor Speedway and it is not affiliated with Nascar because it does not have a race attached to it so its just a race car track Its still alive and ongoing, just being tied up in some appeals by local citizens that are against the idea. I believe that the appeals case will be heard in early summer.

I have heard similar things about hosting an Olympic Games, most of the time the host city is in debt for years to pay it off and are left with venues that are used very little afterwards.

Polish Holiday celebrated on Easter monday. Tradition (from my explaination from my dad when I was younger) is girls chase around guys hitting them with P*ssy Willows while guys go around throwing water on girls. It has basically become the Polish St. Patricks day of everyone going out and having an excuse to drink

After seeing the previews for the 3 Stooges movie, I think it looks like an embarrassment. Like the Farally bros not only spit, but then turned around and dropped a few deuces on all the real Stooges graves (even Schemp and Joes). I wouldn't expect this movie to be anything better then the Brady Bunch movies that were made.......(Characters from a different time trying to adjust to Todays society with all the "jokes" based around that)

Maybe, I have just never heard or seen security at any weddings I have ever attended, but I have also never attended a wedding in Ohio, and was way too young to remember any wedding I attended in the US -

Demetrius Bell - Now an Eagle

made more for doing less? Yes Carl malone atleast earned his salary by being a very good basketball player. Bell is getting paid based on the potential they think he has IF he can stay healthy -

Would have been nice to have him back at a reasonable cost, but the guy just couldn't stay healthy. Its a great move for the Eagles if he can stay healthy and play cause he shows potential and ability. Its an even better deal for the Bills if he continues to get hurt after every couple of games........ -
I used to watch Wrestlmania when I was younger and I could stream it live on the internet for half the price at the WWE's website. I stopped once they changed it and started charging just as much to watch it online as on PPV. I used to be a big fan and saw some live events a few years ago but I haven't watched it much since.

I can change the Battery on my Blackberry in less then a minute from the time I have been handed the new battery at the store and paid for it. Don't need some "Genius" to do it for me I bought a playbook before christmas and share it with my girlfriend. We use it all the time around the house and love it. The only downside to it, It takes about a minute to start up when turned off, its display isn't as big as an Ipad (although its size is also a plus cause its easier to travel with), and its a blackberry (who knows how stable or how long they will survive right now). If you want something functional that is a tool rather then a toy, go Blackberry or Android. If your a 12 year old girl or want whats hip and cool with all the fancy toys, go apple Really? I always pictured you as still having a rotary phone and happy with it
